Abstract: An advantageous system and method are provided for supporting and/or enabling the creation of dynamic reports and/or data presentation(s) in connection with a spreadsheet-based application or program. The system and method offer a full complement of spreadsheet-based formatting and calculation capabilities. In addition, the system and method may be used in conjunction with and/or incorporated as part of spreadsheet-based application(s) and/or program(s) found on stand-alone clients and/or networked clients. The system and method generally include an electronic spreadsheet having a plurality of cells that are arrayed in a defined number of columns and rows, a database in communication with the electronic spreadsheet, and an expansion formula that functions to control retrieval of data from the database and automatically varies/expands at least one of the defined number of columns and rows to accommodate the data retrieval.

Abstract: A method of operating a centralized web services computer system includes providing a standard interface for financial institutions (FIs) and for funds transfer service providers that participate in a remittance system. The centralized web services computer system may also provide services such as integrating its operations into online banking or customer service representative web environments provided by the FIs. The centralized web services computer system may also provide services related to routing messages, looking up territory-related information, checking user information against blacklists, issuing instructions to FIs to debit or credit user accounts, and/or generating reports.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a video block memory read request may be received from a processing unit. For example, a codec may request to access a macroblock of pixel information from a memory unit. The video block memory read request may then be translated into a plurality of memory access requests.

Abstract: A method and system may receive time-series data of each of a plurality of real-time data streams from one or more sensors and create an electronic file based on the plurality of real-time data streams. The plurality of real-time data streams comprises a primary data stream, a low limit data stream, a high limit data stream, and a target value data stream. The electronic file includes a data portion and a metadata portion. The metadata portion of the electronic file comprises, for each of the plurality of data streams, one or more data stream identifiers, a time range, a source type, and a data type, and the data portion comprises the time-series data of each of the plurality of real-time data streams.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for classifying insurance files for identification, sorting and efficient collection of subrogation claims. The invention determines whether an insurance claim has merit to warrant claim recovery efforts utilizing software code for partially describing a set of documents having unstructured and structured file data containing terms and phrases having contextual bases, code for transforming the terms and phrases, code for iterating a classification process to determine rules that best classify the set of documents based upon context, code for incorporating the rules into an induction and knowledge representation, thesauri taxonomies and text summarization to classify subrogation claims; code for calculating a base score and a concept vector to identify the selected claims that demonstrate a given probability of subrogation recovery.

Abstract: An identification token includes a plastic body and an RFID IC embedded or contained in the body. An antenna is also embedded or contained in the body and is coupled to the RFID IC. A metallic coating is formed on the plastic body and is sufficiently thin so as permit wireless RF communication between the RFID IC and a proximity reader via the antenna. A clear protective coating is formed on the metallic coating so as to allow the metallic coating to be visible to a holder of the identification token.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method transforms transactional data and supply data into a forecast of demand for controlling a commerce system. Goods move between members of a commerce system. Transactional data related to movement of goods between the members of the commerce system is recorded. The transactional data includes customer store, product, time, price, promotion, and merchandizing. Supply data related to movement of goods between the members of the commerce system is recorded. The supply data includes inventory, product, store, and merchandising readily available for purchase. Model parameters are estimated based on the transactional data and supply data using a model to generate a forecast of demand for the goods. The forecast of demand for the goods is provided to a member of the commerce system to control the movement of goods in the commerce system. The forecasts of demand takes into account an out-of-stock condition, price promotion, and promotional lift of the product.

Abstract: Techniques for sharing content between portals. A producer portal may identify content to be shared with one or more consumer portals. One or more of the shared content objects may then be copied to a consumer portal as remote delta link objects. Changes or modifications to the source object at the producer portal are automatically reflected in the corresponding target remote delta link object on the consumer portal. Any modifications or customizations made to the remote delta link object at the consumer portal override those of the producer's source object. In this manner, changes made to the second object are reflected in the first object while preserving the changes/modifications made to the first object on the first portal.

Abstract: A multi-user document editing system and method. Embodiments of the invention utilize a model-view-controller design pattern to successfully control changes in parallel to underlying backend database information presentation related information. Granularity of protection and check in/check out on family, spread, presentation layer and presentation object. In addition, enables automatic update of changes to all users editing or viewing the information. Changes to the backend database may also include changes to the family hierarchy with real-time update of publication WYSIWYG pages for example. Enables rollback of changes. Instead of waiting constantly for other users to finish editing information before other edits can be made, the typical serial editing methodology is transformed by embodiments of the invention into a parallel methodology that greatly increases throughput and lowers the costs associated with large publications.

The method comprises storing data from customer sales transactions in a database and retrieving a dataset of the data from the database. The dataset may include promotion and merchandizing entries. The method includes cleansing the dataset to remove erroneous and anomalous entries. Cleansing the dataset may include determining a threshold value from the dataset and determining whether a value of the dataset exceeds the threshold value, and determining an out-of-stock status for a product from the dataset. The method includes aggregating the dataset over a plurality of dimensions of the transactional space including store, product, and time dimensions, and analyzing the dataset following the cleansing and aggregating steps within a model to predict attributes of subsequent sales transactions.

Abstract: A system and method for providing semantic access of data in a master data management system. Data stored in a dynamic repository schema is exposed in a semantically accurate format. The schema is determined from information received from the master data management system describing the schema. A set of database views is generated based on said schema. A query from an external application in a standard query language is received and the query is performed using at least one database view. The database views are updated when a schema change is detected.

Abstract: A computer system for modeling a portfolio of products in a financial system to determine the rate of a target product. The products are defined by attribute values, an attribute being any criteria that impacts product rates. Linear associated product rules are used by the computer system to create an optimized scenario of total profit and overall volume of sales for the portfolio. From the optimized scenario a rate for the target product can be determined which maintains a financial institution's strategic and business objectives. The optimizing process includes applying the associated product rules to products actively contributing to key performance indicators. Densification is then used to infer the rate for all other products in the portfolio. Finally, if the starting rate of a product violates an associated product rule, the starting rate is relaxed to avoid the violation.
