Abstract: A novel crystalline adduct of diphenyl oxalate and phenol in a molar ratio of 1:2 and having a high purity is produced by melting a mixture containing diphenyl oxalate and phenol at a temperature of 100.degree. C. or more; cooling the melt to a temperature of less than 100.degree. C. to allow a resultant adduct of diphenyl oxalate and phenol in a molar ratio of 1:2 to crystallize and deposit from the melt; and collecting the crystalline adduct. Diphenyl oxalate with a high purity is produced by melting the crystalline adduct to dissociate it into diphenyl oxalate and phenol, and evaporating away the dissociated phenol from the melt to collect the dissociated diphenyl oxalate.

Abstract: A compressed dry air supply system includes an air compressor which uses water for lubricating and cooling the movable parts thereof. Compressed air obtained from the compressor is sufficiently dehumidified by a refrigerator type dryer. The water produced due to the dehumidification of the compressed air is received in a water tank, and some of the water held in the water tank is recycled back to the compressor.

C.).ltoreq.T.ltoreq.(Tg'+20.degree. C.) (I), wherein T is the drying temperature (.degree.C.

Abstract: A process is provided for the treatment of suspensions comprised of oil, water and solids in which the suspension is subjected to centrifugation employing a centrifugal filter, coated with an organic powder having an index of compressibility comprised between 0 and 1.2, and wherein under the effect of the centrifugation, the suspension is subjected to an acceleration comprised between 10 and 2500 times the gravity force, that is, 100 to 25000 m/s.sup.2. The solids are retained by the coating and the centrifugate is collected. The invention is useful for the treatment of crude oil, of lubricants and oils which produce suspensions or emulsions rich in fats.

Abstract: The present invention relates to cyclodextrin inclusion complexes of ranitidine hydrochloride which exhibit a novel, to date unknown crystalline structure, being significantly different from those of known "Form 1 and 2" and to the preparation of such inclusion complexes. The inclusion complexes are prepared from aqueous common solution or suspensions of ranitidine hydrochloride and cyclodextrin by removal of water. As complexing agents .alpha.-, .beta.- and gamma-cyclodextrins, their alkylated, hydroxy alkylated derivates or their suitable mixtures are utilized. Finally, the invention concerns pharmaceutical compositions comprising the new complexes.

Abstract: A plurality of small bubbles are continuously generated by transmitting to washing water in a vessel, a high frequency ultrasonic wave from an ultrasonic vibrator which generates a high frequency output from a high frequency oscillator and intermittently transmitted low frequency ultrasonic waves from ultrasonic vibrators wherein the intermittent low frequency ultrasonic waves are produced from low frequency outputs from low frequency oscillators for short periods of time. The plurality of small bubbles are destroyed by the intermittent ultrasonic waves and the pressure from the sound of the ultrasonic waves in the washing water is thereby increased and washing performance is improved.
