  • Patent number: 7214051
Abstract: A device for manufacturing a double-walled thermoplastic pipe with a connecting sleeve has a molding tunnel with a succession of molds for forming a corrugated molding wall and a connecting sleeve, respectively. An extrusion device extrudes a first flexible tube into said molding tunnel and a second flexible tube into said first flexible tube. A first gas channel is arranged for generating a pressure between said first and second flexible tubes. A compressed-gas control device is connected to said first gas channel for generating a pressure p1 or a pressure p2 in said space between said first and second flexible tubes by compressed air emerging from said first gas channel. A second compressed-gas control device is connected to a second gas channel for guiding compressed gas onto an inner side of said second flexible tube. Said first pressure controller is connected to said first gas channel via a compressed-gas line that is connected to an additional compressed-gas reservoir for gas exchange therewith.

  • Patent number: 7207137
Abstract: The invention relates to a set of components used for producing a load-bearing structure for gratings, comprising pillars and support beams which are removably connected to the pillars via couplings. Flat network-type supporting frames of variable sizes can be formed by using couplings that preferably comprise four connecting elements which are arranged in a cruciform manner for the corresponding connecting elements of the supporting beams. A vertical space can be created between two supporting frames by means of spacers that are disposed on the pillars.

  • Patent number: 7194089
Abstract: A method is provided for reducing a known value modulo a shared secret value among network devices exchanging messages in a network. The reduction results in a share of reduced value for each network device of a reduced value. Each network device has its share of known value and its share of shared secret value. It performs an inversion step for deriving from the share of shared secret value a share of the inverse of the shared secret value by using an approximation process, resulting in a share of inverse value; a multiplication step for deriving from the share of inverse value by use of the share of known value a share of multiplied inverse value; a rounding step for rounding the share of multiplied inverse value; and a calculation step for deriving the share of reduced value from the share of known value, the rounded share of multiplied inverse value, and the share of shared secret value.

  • Patent number: 7182478
Abstract: A combination cap and shoe set is provided wherein each of the cap and shoe include illuminated regions. For example, the brim of the hat may be illuminated in its entirety in a particular color and the sole of the shoe may be illuminated in a complementary color such that a person wearing the cap and shoe of the invention in low light situations may be readily visible. The sole of the shoe may also be substantially uniformly illuminated and the illumination may be controlled independent of any walking motion by the wearer by a manual push-button switch.

  • Patent number: 7158761
Abstract: A bi-directional antenna-mount amplifier particularly suited to be compatible with a broad range of advanced spread spectrum TDD wireless applications relying on either direct sequence or frequency hopping, at a wide range of frequencies, and which allows the radio device sharing of an associated antenna in different time intervals, where signal distortion is minimized due to operation of the amplifier which is governed by an equation and associated gain control circuits to maintain constant output power and prevent transmit signal saturation.

  • Patent number: 7106853
Abstract: A receive system providing enhanced Signal to Noise performance is applicable to a wide variety of applications including both wireless and wireline systems which further include internet type communications. Received signals are converted to digital values and stored in a manner which enables subsequent processing directed to improving the resolution of the received signals and to reduce the associated noise corresponding to the received data samples. The Signal-to-Noise ratio of the received data signals is improved as a result of processing techniques made possible by the digitally stored nature of the received data and a unique iterative data processing method.

  • Patent number: 7076227
Abstract: A receive system providing enhanced directivity in the form of a narrowed receive beam and a relatively small antenna with performance comparable to a much larger antenna at similar frequencies. Received signals are converted to digital values and stored in a manner which enables subsequent processing directed to improving the resolution of the received signals and to reduce the associated noise corresponding to the received data samples. The Signal-to-Noise ratio of the received data signals is improved as a result of processing techniques made possible by the configuration of the antenna and the digitally stored nature of the received data.

  • Patent number: 6980381
Abstract: A system for predicting failure of a disk is provided. A test string of performance sensitive reads is built and calibrated. That is, the positioning time and spindle speed for each performance sensitive read is logged. The test string is then applied to a disk and the positioning time and spindle speed for each performance sensitive read, as applied, is measured. The calibrated positioning times and spindle speeds are then compared with the measured positioning times and spindle speeds. The comparison result is used as a reliable predictor for disk failure.
