Abstract: A radial shaft sealing ring, especially for use together with a CO2 containing pressure medium, comprises a membrane body (1) and a supporting body (2). A centering element (5) having a radially outer edge (6) is disposed on the supporting body (2) and is not covered by the membrane body (1). The membrane body (1), on its radially inner end, comprises a tilted sealing lip (11) which faces away from the supporting body (2). The supporting body (2) has an axial bore for the shaft (8) and, opposite the sealing lip (11), a supporting face (13) which slopes towards the wall (12) of the bore. The invention is characterized in that the centering element (5), when the radial shaft sealing ring is fitted in a bearing house (4), can be contacted with the interior of the bearing housing (4) in a press fit and that the angle (?) between the supporting face (13) and the wall (12) of the bore of the supporting body (2) ranges between 45° and 55° in a central plane which includes the axis of the radial shaft sealing ring.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced composite sabot for use in APFSDS (Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot), wherein both Band lamination and Hoop lamination are used in manufacturing a polymer based FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastic) for use in the sabot in order to prevent the prepreg delamination in the circumferential direction caused by the radial lamination. The method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced composite sabot of the present invention comprises the steps of a sub-segment forming step, a piece forming step and a sabot forming step, and the lamination is carried out with improved segment lamination form preventing the damage in the 120 degree surface in the process of treating the sabot.

Abstract: A system and method for processing documents by utilizing the textual content and layout of the documents, including visual indicators, to more efficiently and reliably process the documents across various document types. The system and method identifies visually distinguishable elements within the document, such as section and sub-section boundary indicators, to mark, divide and label the boundaries and content type such that the sections are more clearly identifiable and easily processed. The system and method uses known elements, including section heading types, keywords, section type classifiers, sub-section heading constructs, stop words, and the like to adaptively identify and process a broad range of document types. The system and method continually refines and updates these known elements and allows users to discover and define new elements for further refinement and updating.

Abstract: A commercial financing payment planning system and associated method provide commercial financing customers the ability to retrieve and monitor account activity, track scheduled payment dates, and create/submit remittance instructions online. The system provides numerous functions to a customer, such as customer payment control, access to multiple payment sources by the customer, automatic funds transfer, customized user access, a customer dispute process for disputing supplier invoices, automatic dispute response, and credit tracking. With payment control, the customer specifies which and on what date the invoices will be paid, and the source of funds for the payments. The customer can make these payments from one or a combination of sources. By creating a remittance advice document, the customer can specify in advance payment details and give authorization for automatic payment by the system.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus used by an individual that is performing a variation of a push-up exercise. The exercise apparatus includes a footing, a lower housing, a lower housing cap, a bearing element, and an upper platform. The footing is attached to the lower housing and prevents the lower housing from rotating or laterally moving along a floor or other support surface. The upper platform rotates relative to the lower housing through the bearing element, which rests on the lower housing cap. The upper platform has either an ergonomical handle or a punch pad attached to it for an individual to utilize the exercise apparatus through.
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a method including detecting a select hazardous condition by at least one triggering alarm unit of a plurality of interconnected hazardous condition alarm units. An actuatable latch in the triggering alarm unit is switched from an unlatched state to a latched state. An audible alert is generated in all of the interconnected alarm units. A test switch is actuated to identify the triggering alarm unit. Actuating the test switch disables the audible alert in each alarm unit having an actuatable latch in the unlatched state. A reset switch is actuated in only one of the alarm units to reset the actuatable latch in each of the alarm units to the unlatched state.
Abstract: A liquid gas vaporization and measurement system, and associated method, for efficiently vaporizing a continuous sample of liquid gas, such as liquid natural gas (LNG), and accurately determining the constituent components of the gas. A constant flow of liquid gas sampled from a mass storage device is maintained in a vaporizing device. Within the vaporizing device the liquid gas is flash vaporized within heated narrow tubing. The liquid gas is converted to vapor very quickly as it enters one or more independently operating vaporizer stages within the vaporizing device. The vapor gas is provided to a measuring instrument such as a chromatograph and the individual constituent components and the BTU value of the gas are determined to an accuracy of within +/?0.5 mole percent and 1 BTU, respectively.
Abstract: A hybrid supercapacitor energy storage device includes at least one lead electrode, at least one carbon electrode, a separator, a casing, and an acid electrolyte. The lead electrode is enveloped in a common glass mat separator known in the lead-acid battery industry. The carbon electrode comprises a highly conductive current collector which is a sheet or other metal material sandwiched between two sheets of electronically conductive shield material. Activated carbon is manufactured using a binder such as polyethylene or PTFE adhered to and in electrical contact with the shield material of the current collector.

Abstract: A method and system for detecting and correcting invalid network paths in a network having a plurality of routers and a set of global invariant rules imbedded in the network including querying a subset of a routing table data structure defining network paths wherein said subset includes a plurality of routing table entries and comparing a network routing table entry with an earlier network routing table entry for the same node. The method and system also includes detecting inconsistencies between the newer network routing table entry and the earlier network routing table entry, and invalidating the network entries of the older network routing table that are inconsistent with the newer entries. The method and system also includes reconstructing the routing structure by replacing the invalidated network routing table entries with new routing table entries that minimize violation of the invariant protocols.

Abstract: Managing information flow and workflow in medical imaging services includes mapping activities in medical imaging services to a set of discrete steps in a model medical imaging process. Data concerning the medical imaging services is collected and tracked using an electronic data store and a communications network. The combining circuit includes two inputs, each input is respectively coupled to at least one of the two outputs of the gain circuit. The combining circuit further includes an output providing a combined signal.
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a method of separating an early clock pulse and a late clock pulse into two different latches, wherein the early clock pulse is generated through a bit line. In response to the early clock pulse rising, a first data waveform is sent to a fourth data waveform. In response to a third data waveform rising, an early precharge is turned off. In response to the turning off of the early precharge and in response to a fifth data waveform dropping, an eighth data waveform rises if the first data waveform has a value of 1. In response to a sixth data waveform rising, a first pulse latch is opened.
