Abstract: A plurality of metal plates and an insulating plate having a polished surface are laminated in a probe supporting plate. Through-holes into which probes are to be inserted are respectively formed in the metal plates and the insulating plate. Diameters of the through-holes are greater than diameters of the through-holes, and the through-holes pass through the probe supporting plate in a thickness direction of the probe supporting plate. Hollow portions passing through the probe supporting plate in the thickness direction of the probe supporting plate are formed in the probe supporting plate. Each of the hollow portions is formed by connecting each of holes formed in each of the metal plates and each of holes formed in the insulating plate. Diameters of holes of a metal plate that is an uppermost layer, holes of a metal plate that is a lowermost player, and holes of a metal plate that is one of intermediate layers are less than diameters of holes of metal plates 30d that are the other intermediate layers.

Abstract: A dispenser has a reservoir to hold a fluid, in at least one embodiment a viscous cosmetic, with a pump and a set of groove protrusions attached integrally. The dispenser fits within an outer casing that houses the reservoir and has a set of grooved passages with a flat upper section, a flat lower section, and a slope in between which seat the set of groove protrusions. The dispenser is raised and lowered within the outer casing with a hollow rotating body that has a set of straight grooves that simultaneously seat the set of groove protrusions so that when the hollow rotating body is twisted on top of the outer casing, the dispenser can move up or down. The hollow rotating body also has a notch to seat a button and nozzle actuating top when the dispenser is rotated to its lowest position. When the button and nozzle are depressed, fluid is dispensed through the nozzle. More or less fluid is dispensed depending on how high the dispenser is raised with respect to the outer casing.

Abstract: A poly(arylene ether)-polysiloxane multiblock copolymer is prepared by the reaction of a hydroxy-diterminated poly(arylene ether), a hydroxyaryl-diterminated polysiloxane, and an aromatic diacid chloride. This synthesis overcomes disadvantages of known syntheses of poly(arylene ether)-polysiloxane block copolymers. Abstract: A method for estimating a lithotype of an earth formation, the method includes: obtaining at least two different energy spectra of radiation received from the earth formation using the logging tool, each energy spectrum having at least one of a natural gamma-ray spectrum, a fast neutron-induced inelastic spectrum, and a thermal neutron induced capture spectrum; establishing at least one geochemically-based constraint related to elemental spectral yields to be determined; determining the elemental spectral yields from the at least two different energy spectra by decomposing the at least two different energy spectra over weighted sum of monoelemental standards wherein at least one weight is constrained by the at least one geochemically-based constraint and each weight represents a proportion of one monoelemental standard; converting the elemental spectral yields to elemental concentrations; and using a classifier to receive the elemental concentrations as input and to provide a lithotype as output.

Abstract: A display panel includes a first substrate having a first line and a second line and a second substrate facing the first substrate. The first substrate includes an electrostatic discharger that is electrically connected to the first line to discharge a static electricity inflowing into the display panel through the first line to an exterior. Abstract: An H-bridge circuit is connected to a coil of the vibration motor that is to be driven. A comparator receives Hall signals indicating position information of a rotor of the vibration motor, and converts to an FG signal. A pulse width modulator generates a pulse-modulated pulse signal specifying energization time of the coil of the vibration motor. The pulse width modulator, in a first mode, after commencing start-up of the vibration motor, sets a duty ratio of the pulse signal to 100%, and after that, switches the duty ratio to a predetermined value in accordance with rotational frequency of the motor. In a second mode, the duty ratio of the pulse signal continues to be set to 100%. In a third mode, frequency and the duty ratio of the pulse signal are set based on a control signal of a pulse form inputted from outside. The control signal is used also in switching mode.

The method includes reading context information associated with a software process in response to a context switching event in an OS, the OS initiating the reading of the context information and controlling scheduling of the software process. Abstract: A process thread locking operations includes defining a lock structure having data fields that include a process thread identifier and a shared object identifier that uniquely identifies a shared object subject to lock operations and using the lock structure to build a lock table. The lock table includes lock structures for each process thread in the process and is searchable in response to a request for a shared object from a calling thread. The method also includes determining a lock status of the shared object. The lock status indicates whether the shared object is currently locked by the calling process thread. In response to the lock status, the method includes obtaining a lock on the shared object when the request is for a lock, and releasing a lock on the shared object when the request is to unlock the shared object.

Abstract: An aqueous silica dispersion containing silica particles dispersed in an aqueous medium is provided. The surfaces of the silica particles are treated with reacted aminosilane compound. The aqueous silica dispersion also contains anionic polymeric dispersing agent. The dispersion of the silica particles into an aqueous medium containing both anionic polymeric dispersing agent and aminosilane compound allows the preparation of aqueous silica dispersions at higher solids and/or low viscosities than aqueous silica dispersions that are prepared without either the anionic polymeric dispersing agent or the aminosilane compound. The aqueous silica dispersion is combinable with aqueous emulsion polymers to modify the physical or appearance properties of articles formed from the emulsion polymer.
