  • Patent number: 7214208
Abstract: The needle guard employs a spring clip that has a pair of apertured locks through which the needle passes. The aperture in the foremost lock is defined by cutouts that deflect inwardly upon withdrawal of the needle in order to block a return passage of the needle. The end of the needle is enlarged to abut against the rearmost lock and to further prevent a return passage through the foremost lock. The enlarged end of the needle is trapped between the two locks after being drawn into the needle guard.

  • Patent number: 7204509
Abstract: The bar cart is composed of individual components to be assembled and readily disassembled in a knock-down manner. A body frame is made of four individual skeletal rectangular frames which are interconnected in spaced apart relation. Spacers between the individual frames of the body frame fit into slots in vertical plates on the leg frames to provide for a rigid connection between the body frame and the two leg frames. A table top fits onto outstanding arms of the leg frames and interlocks with the arms to provide a rigid structure. Guides are provided in the body frame to define compartments for receiving bottles and containers as well as to define a recess for receiving a cooler. The bar cart is transportable via wheels and is disassembled without tools into a compact condition for storage in a minimum of space.

  • Patent number: 7177897
Abstract: A system for automatically configuring server daemons in a client-server network for delivering services to a client is provided. The system comprises an interactive server in communication with a database server. The interactive server runs a server daemon to make a service available to a client. The server daemon is programmed to automatically locate, configure and edit predetermined system configuration files located in the interactive server, relative to account information associated with the client. The database server releasably retains the account information, and has a task program to generate executable and transferable tasks for use in configuring the predetermined system files. A relay server is preferably provided to enable the interactive server and the database to communicate with one another, preferably through a controller. The controller enables the client to selectably add, remove, or modify the services available from the server daemon by manipulating the account information.

  • Patent number: 7064776
Abstract: An object movement tracking apparatus and its method tracks an object with an unknown initial position and which object is continually moving, the apparatus for recovering a tracking process even when the tracking has failed and includes an observing device such as a video camera for observing a scene at a video frame rate. Time-sequentially acquired image data from the observing device are stored in an image memory device and the data processed in parallel. During data processing, an object recognition module selects a frame memory based on predetermined information. An estimated value of position/posture of the object are calculated from the image data and transmitted. A movement tracking module receives transmitted data from the object recognition module, replacing a current frame with a next frame and waits until image data in the next frame are inputted.

  • Patent number: 7010293
Abstract: A digital advertising method in a cellular telephone having three types of advertisements. One is an N type for broadcasting advertisements from a central exchange to relay stations at specific times. Another is emergency notification as a warning message or image data from a local government and is transmitted to affected areas. In both cases, data is broadcast without a communication being established to a receiver. One to one type calls are an ordinary person to person call. The receiver selects categories and types of advertisements. The advertisement content includes advertising data, advertiser's inquiry telephone number, data, and web site address. The contents are stored in memory of the cellular telephone. The stored advertisements are replayed on a screen of the cellular telephone by pushing predetermined function keys. The contents may be downloaded from a web site, replayed the screen of the cellular telephone and on home audio/video devices.

  • Patent number: 6966584
Abstract: A molded thermoplastic body is formed with a rectangular cavity. A molded thermoplastic insert is welded to the body in the cavity and has a top cross member, a stem member and a bottom member. The stem member has a plurality of molded fingers cantilevered on opposing sides inclined relative to the stem member longitudinal axis in one embodiment. The stem member forms the cavity into two channels. A wire shackle which may be round or square in section, a wire or molded plastic, is U-shaped with two legs. One leg is formed with notches to receive the tips of the fingers in one channel and the other leg is formed with a reversibly bent barb which engages the fingers in the other channel on the opposite side of the cavity. The bottom member limits the insertion depth of the legs. The notches and barb engage the fingers and lock the shackle to the body.

  • Patent number: 6889587
Abstract: A first layer of urethane sheet material is molded with a plurality of interlocking male and female fingers at opposing blanket ends and which fingers form a projection for insertion into an anvil channel. The fingers are arrayed in a plane beneath the plane of the first layer. The abutting ends of the blanket above the fingers form a seam of different configuration than the fingers, e.g., linear, to minimize formation of flat spots on the work surface. A fabric is bonded to the underside of the sheet material in one embodiment or a second layer of urethane is molded to blanket underside to form a major portion of the fingers and the projection in a second embodiment. The second layer has a relative durometer that is harder than the first layer, and a shrinkage smaller than that of the first layer to minimize the formation of edge curl.

  • Patent number: 6782736
Abstract: A method for measuring interface levels between fluids is described, characterized in that, with the aid of a magnetic field forming means, a variable magnetic field is formed in one of the fluids whereby a counterflowing magnetic field is established, being a function of the fluid properties with respect to the portion of conducting fraction in the fluid, and conductivity of the fraction; and the properties of the mentioned fluid are registered by registering the dominating impedance, alternatively resonance frequency, of the system; and by corresponding registrations of different fluid layers at the respective height levels, and in the existing interphase layers, and thereafter by mutual comparison of the mentioned properties, one or more exsisting multiphase levels are determined. A device to carry out the method is also described.
