  • Patent number: 7566153
Abstract: A vehicular lighting assembly with a reflection mirror formed of a BMC resin is provided which prevents glass fiber in the resin from separating and flying away when the direction of illumination is changed for aiming, which can result in degradation in appearance of the reflector or occurrence of glare. The vehicular lighting assembly can be configured such that a high-beam reflector and a low-beam lighting assembly attachment are formed of a plastic member made of the BMC resin as an integrated lighting assembly holder portion. The low-beam lighting assembly attachment of the lighting assembly holder portion can include a low-beam reflector, ball joints, and an adjusting nut attachment engaged with an adjusting screw, so that it can be aimed. The ball joints and the adjusting nut attachment are formed at their respective positions on an integrated metallic member so that they can be attached as an aiming unit to the low-beam lighting assembly attachment.

  • Patent number: 7567008
Abstract: A rotating electrical machine (10) has a rotor (11), which rotates about an axis (13) and is surrounded concentrically by a stator (12) having a stator winding (30) inserted into a stator body (21), the stator winding (30) including, in a concentric arrangement, a lower layer (16), which is more remote from the axis, and an upper layer (17), which is closer to the axis, of axially extending winding bars (14), which emerge from the stator body (21) at the ends of the stator (12) and are arranged, within an end winding (15), with their bar ends (23), on two concentric circles in pairs one above the other in the radial direction. With such a machine, simplified production of the stator winding (30) with, at the same time, a high dielectric strength is achieved by virtue of the fact that in those winding bars (14) of a pair which belong to different phases within a phase segregation, radial spreading (18) of the bar ends (23) is provided so as to increase the radial distance between the different phases.

  • Patent number: 7563121
Abstract: The present invention Provides a discharge tube connector which suppresses the occurrence of a damage of a discharge tube at the time of installation and can be easily installed. An end electrode of the discharge tube and a board electrode on a circuit board can be electrically connected with each other through a conductive connection portion without using lead wires, so a damage such as a crack and the like, of a light-emitting portion of the discharge tube can be avoided. When a holding portion is made of a rubber-like elastic material, the conductive connection portion has rubber-like elasticity, so the conductive connection portion can be pressed between the end electrode and the board electrode on the circuit board to conductively connect the end electrode with the board electrode. Therefore, the soldering operation can be omitted. Thus, installation does not take time, so a manufacturing cost can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7544520
Abstract: A method for applying a heat insulation layer (11, 12, 13) or a metallic protective layer to a thermally stressed component (200) having a basic material (10) in order to eliminate local damage (14) or an untreated place in the coating, includes, in a first step, pretreating the local damage (14) or untreated place, and, in a second step, applying layers (17, 18) necessary for eliminating the local damage (14) or untreated place. A markedly improved lifetime of the processed component can be achieved in that, within the first step, the edge regions (15) of the layers (11, 12, 13) ending at the local damage (14) or untreated place are processed so that they form uniformly sloped and terrace-shaped edge regions (16). Furthermore, a precharacterization of the entire coated region of the operationally stressed component or critical places by FSECT makes it possible to reduce the risk in terms of otherwise overlooked layer regions, the remaining lifetime of which would not persist for the following operating time.

  • Patent number: 7543683
Abstract: A vehicle resonator structure and attachment method is provided and includes a resonator chamber that has a first intake tube and a first exhaust or outlet tube attached thereto. At least one of the tubes includes a projection that can be molded (e.g., via flash molding after the tube itself is blow molded) onto the tube. The resonator chamber can include upper and lower tube mount structures that can be hot plate welded and sandwiched onto the projection in the tube. Thus, the tube(s) is/are positively retained in position with respect to the resonator chamber such that the tuning of the resonator does not change due to fluctuations in geometry of the tube(s) and resonator chamber structure, and such that there is little or no vibration noise and/or possible damage that might result if the tube(s) were free to move with respect to the resonator chamber.

  • Patent number: 7538286
Abstract: Provided is a key sheet in which fixation members such as key tops can be firmly fixed to a base sheet. The back surfaces of the key tops are fixed to a film sheet without involving any gaps by means of adhesion layers 11 stacked on the entire back surfaces of the key tops. Thus, fingernails or the like are not easily allowed to get between the key tops and the film sheet, making it possible to prevent the key tops from being unstuck from the film sheet. Further, in the key sheet, the film sheet and a base sheet are integrated with each other, so the key tops can be firmly fixed to the base sheet through an intermediation of the film sheet, making it possible to prevent the key tops from being detached by fingernails or the like at the time of depressing operation.

  • Patent number: 7534663
Abstract: A surface mount electronic device manufacturing method can produce surface mount devices at a high yield rate and high productivity by reducing warp of a circuit board. The reduced warp avoids problems in processes for dicing the circuit board. Surface mount LED devices made in accordance with the method can have high reliability and reduced non-uniformity in color tone. The method can include providing an adhesive sheet having window holes at predetermined intervals. The adhesive sheet can be adhered to the circuit board. An attachable board having window holes provided at corresponding positions to the window holes of the adhesive sheet can be adhered to the adhesive sheet. LED chips or other semiconductor devices, laser diodes, etc., can be mounted on the circuit board and located at positions corresponding to bottoms of the window holes. A thermosetting resin can be filled in the window holes for encapsulating the LED chips, etc. The surface mount devices can then be produced by dicing the circuit board.
