Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for distributing retirement assets. One or more embodiments include receiving personal data related to an individual, the personal data including a number of projected income sources and a value of projected expenses of the individual, and receiving retirement asset allocation data of the individual, the retirement asset allocation data including current fund allotments to a number of money classes each having disparate tax treatment. One or more embodiments include calculating a value of projected after-tax income of the individual, calculating a deficit amount when the value of projected expenses exceeds the value of projected after-tax income, and using orthogonal sampling to calculate a distribution schedule for funding the deficit amount, the distribution schedule including, for each of the number of money classes, a recommended sum for the individual to withdraw from the money class in order to fund the deficit amount.

If the lessee undertakes a purchase or a new lease, a manufacturer of the item, or another party, provides insurance covering the item. The methods disclosed herein may be performed over a computer network, such as the Internet.

Abstract: In an embodiment, an asset allocation mutual fund comprises assets invested, at any one time, substantially 100% in one of stocks, bonds or cash equivalents. As market conditions change, as indicated by changes in the output of stock and bond models, substantially all of the assets may be shifted from one of these three asset classes to another. A method for allocating assets in a mutual fund, among the three asset classes, according to one embodiment includes, first determining whether a buy signal has been given on stocks using a stock model. If a buy signal has been given on stocks, substantially all assets of the mutual fund may be invested in stocks. If a buy signal on stocks is not indicated, it is determined whether a buy signal has been given on bonds using a bond model. If a buy signal has been given on bonds, substantially all assets of the mutual fund may be invested in bonds. If a buy signal on bonds is not indicated, substantially all assets of the mutual fund may be invested in cash equivalents.

Abstract: An automated securities order execution system includes order entering means for a client to enter an order and at least one filtering means for determining whether the order can be automatically executed. Routing means are used for routing the order to a destination based upon the determination made by each of the filtering means. After the order has been properly routed, the order is executed and the result of the order execution is reported to the client.

The systems and methods communicate with a customer and provide a financial planning service for use with at least one financial planning product by collecting data from a customer using a structured data collection form which is dynamically modified based on the financial product selected, the data provided by the customer, and data relating to the customer that is retrieved from a database.

Abstract: Methods, systems and securities for assuring a company an opportunity to sell stock (e.g., common stock) after a specified time are disclosed. In one embodiment, a sale, by a company to an other entity, of a security may be issued, consisting of: (i) a post-paid forward contract which obligates the other entity to purchase a fixed number of shares stock of the company; and (ii) debt. In one embodiment, a purchase, by the company from the other entity, of a paid forward contract may be issued, which obligates the other entity to deliver to the company a variable number of shares of stock in the company. The number of shares underlying the pre-paid forward contract may be calculated based on a formula that is a function of a then-current stock price and a remaining maturity associated with the pre-paid forward contract.

To be qualified, the purchaser or lessor must reside in a particular geographic region and purchase or lease, for example, a particular make and model of automobile. No further characteristics of the purchaser or lessor are considered in obtaining the insurance policy. The sale or lease of the item and provision of the insurance policy may be completed over a computer network, such as the Internet.

Abstract: An unspecified-time airline ticket representing a purchased seat on a flight to be selected later, by the airlines, for a traveler-specified itinerary (e.g., NY to LA on March 3rd) is disclosed. Various methods and systems for matching an unspecified-time ticket with a flight are also disclosed. An exemplary method includes: (1) making available an unspecified-time ticket; (2) examining a plurality of flights which would fulfill the terms of the unspecified-time ticket to determine which flight to select; and (3) providing notification of the selected flight prior to departure. The disclosed embodiments provide travelers with reduced airfare in return for flight-time flexibility and, in turn, permits airlines to fill seats that would have otherwise gone unbooked.

The military data may include military information on a number of military users among the number of users. The military information may include a branch of service, a military rank, a military activity status, a service start date, and a service component. The lookup data may include assumption information used. A financial goal assessment application may receive information from the user data, the military data, and the lookup data and to generate a financial goal assessment for at least one of a user or a spouse of the user.

Abstract: A video of a negotiable instrument may be provided from a user to a financial institution so that an image of the negotiable instrument may be obtained from the video and deposited in a user's bank account. In an implementation, a user may use a device such as a video camera, a web camera, or a video-enabled phone to convert an endorsed check into a video data file by making a video of the check and storing the video in a video data file. The user may send the video data file to the financial institution, where it may be processed and deposited in an account associated with the user. Any technique for sending a video data file to the financial institution may be used.
