For example, a bank member can draft a check and have that check displayed at his banking institution. Additionally, this bank member can also display any other checks that the member has received. In fact, any check that is either credited or debited from the member's account can appear as a digital image for inspection by the member. Furthermore, any images of checks residing at other banking institutions can be synchronized with the member's institution to amount to a one-stop warehouse for digital images of negotiable instruments for inspection by the member, no matter from where these negotiable instruments may originate.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods and articles of manufacture for n-tier transaction execution and processing are shown. The first layer comprises a presentation layer in the form of a user interface for entering instrument orders, modifying orders, and monitoring orders, instruments and markets. The second layer comprises an intermediate component layer for information transfer, and the third layer comprises an information source layer for feeding information to and accepting information from the first two layers.

Abstract: The invention relates to a novel incentive and compensation plan for motivating and rewarding employees, and a computer system for implementing said plan. It is an object of the present invention to provide a stock-based incentive and compensation plan that rewards employees based on the performance of the company. The present invention provides methods and systems for providing an employee incentive and compensation plan, which include deferring a portion of an employee's compensation for a period of time. The financial performance of the employee's company is evaluated over the selected period of time, and the employee's total deferred compensation is converted into a number of units based on the amount deferred, the average share price of the company stock, and the financial performance of the company. The employee's units are valued based on the average share price of the company stock, and the total compensation is paid to participating employees as an incentive and compensation plan.

When a request is evaluated, a compliance rule set indicating which rules are to be evaluated at that time is generated in accordance with a party profile indicating the relationship between the party and the company. Sheet-like material is deformed during fabrication through an applied force so as to create undulations in said material, whose stresses are maintained through restraining components, thereby maintaining the occurrence of said deformations in the material. When placed in moving fluid, the resulting pressure differentials cause the positions of the undulations within the material to travel along said material in the same direction as the moving fluid. Power is extracted in one of two principle ways. The first is via a mechanical coupling of the sheet-like material to a rotating mechanism, which turns an electro-magnetic dynamo or other output device. The second is via the utilization of a flexible material which exhibits an electrical response to mechanical strain, whereby the strains caused by the travel of undulations along the material create an electrical current which is extracted via two or more electrodes.
