Abstract: A method is illustrated for manufacturing bicycle cranks in which a layer of foamable material is applied on an outer surface of a metallic member which has two holes respectively defined in two ends thereof. A layer of composite preimpregnated material is then applied on the layer of foamable material. Thereafter, the metallic member is mounted in a mold and then heated to make the foamable material foam, thereby achieving formation of a semi-product crank by means of formation of the foamable material, the composite preimpregnated material, and the metallic member. After removal from the mold, the holes of the semi-product crank is tapped, and the semi-product crank is then trimmed and ground. Patching is applied to make an outer surface of the crank smooth.

Abstract: A suspension assembly includes an upper supporting member securely attached to a ceiling, a suspension rod, and a connecting member. The upper supporting member includes a bowl-like section defined in a lower portion thereof. The bowl-like section includes a first through hole defined in a bottom thereof, and a bowl-like upper suspension member is securely retained in the bowl-like section. A suspension rod includes an upper end which extends through the first through hole and securely attached to the upper suspension member. A suspension seat is securely mounted to the suspension rod and includes an inverted bowl-like seat which has a second through hole extending along a longitudinal axis thereof. An inverted bowl-like lower suspension member is securely received in the bowl-like seat, and the lower end of the suspension rod extends through the second through hole and securely attached to the lower suspension member.

Abstract: A pair of pliers includes a handle member having an intermediate portion slidably engaged in an intermediate portion of another handle member which has a rack located closer to the handle end. A pawl is pivotally secured on the handle member for engaging with the rack so as to secure the intermediate portions of the handle members together when the jaw ends are engaged with the workpiece. Two panels and a plate are pivotally mounted between the first and second handle members, and a torsion spring is mounted between the two panels to provide a reliable operation.

Abstract: A support device includes a frame having a number of hooks for engaging with keys and having a channel and having a number of openings and having a number of fins arranged corresponding to the openings for allowing the fins to be secured to a support wall member. A panel is engaged in the channel of the frame for making notes to the keys and for allowing the keys to be easily found. The frame includes a number of slots formed in the bottom portion and arranged corresponding to the openings and the fins for allowing the frame to be easily secured to the projections of the support wall member.

Abstract: A massage system incorporates a battery operated power supply which is mounted in a compartment formed in the tongue of a shoe. The power supply is connected to vibrators which are mounted in circular beds formed in the sole of the shoe. The power supply and the vibrators are connected by wires which are concealed in a flap formed in the upper portion of the shoe. The wires are also disposed in air canals which are formed in the sole of the shoe. The location of the power supply in the tongue of the shoe maintains the normal balance of the shoe and enables a user to benefit from vibrating massage while standing, sitting, walking or running.

Abstract: A safety trigger mechanism for a stapler includes a trigger member for pivotally coupling to the stapler at a pivot shaft and having an opening. A frame has a middle portion pivotally coupled to the trigger member at a pivot axle and having one end aligned with the opening of the trigger member for allowing the frame to be actuated by a slide of the stapler. A block is secured on the frame and has a recess for receiving a switch button of the stapler and for preventing the switch button from being actuated by the frame when the frame is not actuated, such that the staples may be prevented from being shot inadvertently.

Abstract: A lock securing device for a bicycle which has a rack and the lock securing device includes a frame disposed to the rack and having a tubular member disposed to an underside thereof, two hook portions respectively extending from two ends of the frame. A quick-release device includes a handle pivotally connected to an activating rod which is movably inserted through the tubular member and threadedly connected to an adjusting member. The handle has a curved tongue extending laterally therefrom so as to support a head of the lock and a U-shaped body of the lock is supported by the first hook portions.

Abstract: An outer casing is mounted around a suspension rod and includes a number of sections each having a first teeth structure defined in a first side thereof and a second teeth structure defined in a second side thereof and having a curvature complimentary to that of the first teeth structure. The sections are assembled to form the outer casing due to engagements between the first teeth structures and the second teeth structures.

Abstract: A device for separating and dehydrating droppings includes a body having two walls and a bottom which includes a meshed portion and a plain portion connected to one of two ends of the meshed portion. A first shaft and a second shaft are respectively and transversely disposed between the two walls, wherein the first shaft is driven by a first motor. A loop-shaped member is reeved through the first and the second shaft and has a plurality of plates transversely disposed thereto which are moved on an upper surface of the bottom. A hydrating device is disposed to the first end of the body and includes tube with an inlet and an outlet. The tube has a screw member rotatably disposed therein driven by a motor on a first end thereof and has a cap pivotally disposed to a second end thereof. The tube further has a slotted portion defined in an under periphery thereof.

Abstract: A tool handle assembly includes a barrel having a bore and a cap having a hole. An element has a front tube for engaging through the bore of the barrel and has a rear protrusion for engaging in the hole of the cap. The tube includes an annular rib for engaging with and for rotatably supporting the barrel on the tube, and for allowing the barrel and the element and the cap to be assembled together without additional tool. The element includes a curved upper and bottom portions for allowing the user to grasp comfortably.

Abstract: A laryngoscope, for use in intubating a patient's trachea, especially in emergency situations. The laryngoscope has a camera mounted in the vicinity of a distal end of its blade to observe the patient's trachea opening and other oral internal structures in a visual field. The camera is connected, typically via a fiberoptic cable, to a lightweight portable television screen, preferably mounted on the laryngoscope handle, for displaying the visual field to the a Professional Intubator so as to enable him or her to observe continuously the trachea opening and other oral internal structures as he or she manipulates the intubating instrument. The laryngoscope with the camera and screen thereon preferably is held in one of the Professional Intubator's hands to lift and move aside the patient's tongue steadily and constantly. The other hand of the Professional Intubator then is free to manipulate the intubating instrument.

Abstract: A spray nozzle includes a rod extended from a casing which has two inlets. A follower is rotatably engaging with the rod and has a barrel aligned with one inlet and has one or more cylindrical members aligned with the other inlet. A board and a cap are secured to the rod. A control ferrule may rotate the follower and the disc to align either of the inlets with the barrel and the cylindrical members. The water is allowed to flow out through a peripheral gap formed between the control ferrule and the cap. The spray nozzle includes a greatly simplified configuration.

Abstract: A handle for engaging with an L-shaped tool includes a beam having a bore for engaging with one of the stems and includes a bar having a groove communicating with the bore for engaging with the other stem. A cover is secured to the bar for securing the tool in place and for allowing the tool to be solidly secured in the handle. The bar includes a pair of channels, the cover includes a pair of flanges for slidably engaging with the channels and for allowing the cover to be secured to the bar.
