Abstract: A finger-mounted disposable toothbrush including a lanyard of dental floss, a first end of which is attached to the toothbrush and a second end of which is looped around the user's wrist. The dental floss lanyard prevents swallowing of the toothbrush during use and can also be used for flossing the user's teeth after brushing. The disposable toothbrush further comprises a mounting ring which fits over the user's finger. The mounting ring is affixed to the top side of a bristle base. Tooth cleaning bristles are attached to the bottom side of the bristle base and are optionally impregnated with dental paste or powder. Bumps can be molded in those areas of the bristle base and mounting ring with which the user's finger comes in contact, said bumps enhancing the user's grip on the toothbrush.

Abstract: A highly fire resistant construction board is produced by embedding a sheet of expanded metal net in a building board made from a water settable inorganic binder. In a preferred embodiment, the wallboard is made from a combination of gypsum, cement, and a particulate mineral filler such as perlite or vermiculite, and contains an embedded layer of expanded metal net made from a magnesium alloy.
Abstract: This invention relates to an exhaust gas muffler assembly for internal combustion engines which is operable in both a muffled or unmuffled mode. In exterior appearance, the bypass muffler of this invention looks like a conventional muffler having a shell and end caps which enclose the interior components, an inlet for entry of the exhaust gas from the engine, and two outlets for exit of the exhaust gas to atmosphere. A first outlet is preferably positioned opposite to the exhaust gas inlet and connected directly to the inlet by means of a pipe. This pipe is not provided with silencing means. Within the interior of the muffler are silencing means employing a center pipe and an exhaust gas outlet pipe, each of which are provided with silencing means such as apertures in the walls of each pipe. Flow diverting means are removably placed within the first outlet.
Abstract: A mobile scaffolding apparatus having wheel support means which can be moved out of engagement with the ground. The wheel support means are mounted to a conventional scaffolding frame made of at least three, preferably four, vertical posts rigidly connected by bracing members. A foot pad is rigidly connected to the lower end of each of the vertical posts. When the wheel support means are moved into engagement with the ground, the mobile scaffolding apparatus rests upon the wheel support means and can travel. When the wheel support means are moved out of engagement with the ground, the mobile scaffolding apparatus rests stationary on the scaffolding frame foot pads. The wheel support means are moved into and out of engagement with the ground through either pivoting or retracting the wheel support means. There are two embodiments for pivoting the wheel support means. In both embodiments, the wheel support means have a wheel and axle assembly, a pivoting rod, and a brace member.
Abstract: A locking device for a set of double sliding doors comprising two U-shaped clips and a flexible band operatively engaging both clips. The locking device is designed to prevent the relative movement of double sliding doors which comprise an interior door and an exterior door, with the interior door sliding in an interior track and the exterior door sliding in an exterior track. The interior and exterior tracks are parallel to each other. In a closed position, an inside vertical stile of the interior door is adjacent to, and which overlaps an inside vertical stile of the exterior door defining a space between the interior and exterior doors. A U-shaped clip is secured to the inside stile of each sliding door. The flexible band is secured at its first end to the U-shaped clip secured to the inside stile of the interior door and then traverses through the space between the interior and exterior doors to the inside stile of the exterior door.
Abstract: A cattle stanchion has a frame supporting animal restraint mechanism which includes an enclosed latching and release mechanism and an enclosed lockout means capable of operating in various positions. The frame is comprised of relatively thin welded section materials providing strength and rigidity while retaining light weight. The animal restraint mechanism is comprised of a support bar attached to the frame and a rocker arm pivotally mounted on the support bar. The enclosed latching and release mechanism is mounted on the top of the frame and cooperates with the rocker arm to perform the cattle stanchion's free feed, self-catch, single release, and group release functions. The stanchion's lock-out function is performed by the lock-out means.
Abstract: A lockable quick release assembly for securing removable parts such as a wheel to the fork of a bicycle frame with the assembly including a specialized handle which not only rotates a cam shaped member within the interior of the assembly but has a key means which allows locking of the assembly to the frame to prevent theft of the wheel. The assembly also has means to secure the handle to the assembly so it will not fall off during normal use of the bicycle, but can be removed if desired.

Abstract: An effective method for diminishing hydrocarbon vapors in fuel tanks and thereby avoiding expensive, complicated and risky procedures for capturing purged hydrocarbon vapors during refueling. The method involves filling the fuel tank with multiple pieces of expanded metal net formed in the shape of ellipsoids, to inhibit the formation of hydrocarbon vapors and to promote condensation of such vapors as may be formed.
Abstract: Apparatus for slitting or cutting material comprises a driving roller 10 and a driven roller 12. Each roller 10 or 12 has on its periphery a plurality of ribs at a predetermined pitch and helix angle. The pitch of the ribs 18 on the driving roller 10 is smaller than the pitch of the ribs 30 on the driven roller 12, and the helix angle of the ribs 18 on the driving roller 10 is of opposite direction to, and of smaller magnitude than, the helix angle of the ribs 30 on the driven roller 12. The ribs 18, 30 cooperate to cut with a shearing action a web 16 of sheet material fed into the nip between the rollers 10, 12.

Abstract: An improved header assembly for use in V-8 engines. In engines having eight cylinders, performance can be unexpectedly improved by utilizing an improved header assembly whereby the exhaust gas from each of cylinders 4 and 7 is routed by means of a by-pass tube to a specific area in a second stage collector while the exhaust gas from the remainder of the cylinders is routed to a first stage collector. Such an arrangement of tubes routing exhaust gas into first and second stage collectors creates smooth, non-turbulent exhaust gas flow through the collector resulting in greater engine horsepower and torque.

Abstract: A highly effective module for preventing corrosion of oil well pipes and equipment and for preventing resulting fires and explosions. The module is a collar formed from slitted and expanded metal net and is adapted to fit in the annular space between the oil production pipe and the outer casing of the oil well, to prevent oxygen from the atmosphere from entering the annular space at the top of the well, and to exclude hydrocarbon vapors from the subterranean production zone from entering the annular space at the bottom of the well. The invention also relates to methods for extinguishing a burning oil well.
