  • Patent number: 8342077
Abstract: A non-internal combustion reciprocating engine has an enhanced mechanical advantage lever system for efficiently converting linear motion from reciprocating pistons to rotary motion at a crankshaft. The engine comprises a chassis, at least two sets of binary cylinder systems mounted on the chassis, a crankshaft and a lever system. Each lever system has a piston lever, two thrust rods and a central drive lever. Each piston lever is pivotally attached to the chassis and pivotally attached to a piston rod extending from a piston cylinder. The two thrust rods are pivotally attached at one terminus to the piston lever and pivotally attached at a second terminus to the central drive lever. The two piston cylinders of each binary cylinder system work in concert to efficiently transfer power to the crankshaft.

  • Patent number: 7934465
Abstract: As adhesive applicator head for use on an assembly line apparatus dispenses adhesive in a non-contact manner to produce a wide band of adhesive on a moving substrate. The applicator head comprises an upper body secured to a lower body and at least one nozzle mounted therewithin. An adhesive manifold within the applicator head ensures a steady flow of adhesive to tips of the nozzles. An air manifold within the applicator head is in communication with opposed pin holes positioned alongside each nozzle and oriented so that high velocity air exits the pin holes and flows along a nozzle tip of the nozzle. The high velocity air encounters freshly dispensed adhesive at the nozzle tip and causes it to leave the tip in a back-forth manner to result in a scribble pattern on the substrate. The scribble pattern's width is well defined. It is determined primarily by side to side placement of the nozzles in the applicator head at about the adhesive band width desired.

  • Patent number: 7836887
Abstract: A personalized protective mask comprises a malleable wire frame, a filtration bag, and a tether. The filtration bag is positioned over the wire frame and the tether is attached at each end to an ear section of the wire frame. The mask is placed over the face of the individual who then bends the wire frame to force it to conform to the individual's own face contour. The tether pulls tight the filtration bag to the individual's face for creating a mask which fully covers the user's nose and mouth. The protective mask is comfortable to wear, whether in-use on the face or in a stand-by position around the user's neck.

  • Patent number: 7815797
Abstract: A pre-filter assembly is for use in a skimmer of a residential swimming pool. The pre-filter comprises a skimmer collar and a cleanable filter basket. The skimmer collar is for placement on a rim of a below water surface opening within the skimmer. The cleanable filter basket is made of a water porous material. The filter basket is permanently secured at an edge defining the open-top to the skimmer collar. The filter basket further has a chevron shape for ease of use. Swimming water debris is trapped in the filter basket as pool water is pulled through the filter basket on its way to a primary filter apparatus. The filter basket is easily cleaned as needed and replaced.

  • Patent number: 7621589
Abstract: Panels of the invention are used to form large capacity enclosure sidewalls. Trailers, trucks and cargo vans are examples of such enclosures. Intermediate framing support is not needed. Each panel has a polymeric core with a first metal cladding and a second metal cladding. The core has opposed longitudinal configured ends, each of which has a stepped shoulder which extends the length of the panel. The metal claddings follow the contour of the stepped shoulder. The stepped shoulders are offset from the first face of the core approximately one-half the thickness of the panel. In assembling a walled enclosure sidewall, the panels are positioned so that adjacent stepped shoulders mate together to create a flush face surface. Joining means are used in the stepped shoulder areas to permanently join together adjacent panels.

  • Patent number: 7621194
Abstract: Power equipment widely used in commercial, residential and recreational settings comprises a host implement and a demountable motor. The host implement has a frame, a mounting block with a first latch component secured to the frame, a driven shaft connected to the frame with a working piece connected to one terminus and a self-locating and locking coupler on the other terminus. The demountable motor has a spacing block with a second latch component and further has a drive shaft extending through the spacing block. The drive shaft has a second self-locating and locking coupler on its terminus. When the demountable motor is positioned on the host implement, the respective couplers mechanically mate so a power from the demountable motor can be transferred to the working piece. The latch components of the mounting block and spacing block interact to hold the host implement to the demountable motor.

  • Patent number: 7429217
Abstract: A cue stroke practice aid is used by a billiards player to improve the player's cue stroke by repetitiously practicing the stroke at varying skill levels until a consistent stroke is developed. The practice aid comprises an elongated housing with first and second openings at opposed ends. A slide assembly is positioned in the elongated housing. The slide assembly includes a shaft, equi-spaced rails extending axially from the shaft, cue guide arms and an adjusting knob. The adjusting knob is used to move the rails laterally within the housing. This has the effect of causing cue guide arms to radially expand or contract from the axis shaft to form a tubular cavity of a desired cross dimension. The opening defined by tips of the cue guide fingers provides a target for the billiards player to practice a stroke at a selected cross dimension according to an attainable skill level.

  • Patent number: 7299084
Abstract: A precordial overlay and dual backing assembly is expeditiously affixed together in a manner which allows it to be packaged in an unalterable form. When needed to obtain an ECG reading, the assembly is removed from the packaging and the precordial overlay swiftly separated from the dual backing. The dual backing is discarded. The precordial overlay is quickly and accurately positioned on a patient, The precordial overlay of the assembly comprises an elongated band having a first and a second generally rectangular-shaped sections joined together by an intermediate section. All three sections have at least one cut-out to receive an adhesive-backed electrode assembly. The dual backing of the assembly is similarly shaped and comprises a thin intermediate substrate with release agents on each side and a thin lower substrate with a release agent on a top side. The intermediate substrate further has a set of bent-back flaps, each flap positioned to receive an underside of one of the electrode assemblies.
