  • Patent number: 7083524
Abstract: A preferred golf club includes a first alignment mark on a grip of the club and a second alignment mark on the head proximate a centerline of the head. A preferred method for addressing a ball involves positioning the second alignment mark proximate the center of the ball; pivoting the club until the first alignment mark overhangs the ball; aiming the first alignment mark toward a target; positioning one's feet parallel to the first alignment mark; and again centering the second alignment mark with the ball. One object of the present invention is to assist a golfer both in striking a golf ball with the sweet spot of a club head and to enable the golfer to accurately sight on the target.

  • Patent number: 6922981
Abstract: Power equipment widely used in commercial, residential and recreational settings comprises a host implement and a demountable motor. The host implement has a working piece dedicated to a single task. The host implement has a frame, a mounting block secured to the frame, a driven shaft connected to the frame with a working piece connected to one terminus and a self-locating and locking coupler on the other terminus. The demountable motor has a drive shaft with a second self-locating and locking coupler on its terminus. When the demountable motor is positioned on the host implement, the respective couplers mechanically mate so that a power from the demountable motor can be transferred to the working piece. The demountable motor is capable of being used on any one of several different host implements, all designed for performing different work tasks.

  • Patent number: 6706174
Abstract: A filter assembly is for use in a water by-pass compartment of a hot tub. The filter assembly comprises an open-top housing and an operably associated filter basket. The housing is for placement in the by-pass compartment. A support member is positioned within the housing near its open-top. A rigid periphery found on the filter basket sits on a ledge of the support member. The filter basket is made of a water porous synthetic material. Debris is trapped on the filter basket as hot tub water is pulled through it. The filter basket is easily lifted free from the open-top housing and then cleaned if desired or simply replaced with a new filter basket.

  • Patent number: 6649239
Abstract: A multi-layer sheet has individual staggered edge posting sheetlets in a side-by-side relationship. The multi-layer sheet comprises a base release sheet, the posting sheetlets in a flat sheet form, and a removable cover sheet. The posting sheetlets are loosely held together in a manner whereby an individual posting sheetlet is easily removed and used as a base. Each posting sheetlet in the multi-layer sheet has a paper substrate with an adhesive partially covering each face thereof in approximate aligned areas of the respective faces. A front face or a back face of the individual posting sheetlet is adhered to a surface while an opposed face holds an item for posting. In use, an individual posting sheetlet is readily removed from the multi-layer sheet and a cover panel removed from the posting sheetlet to fully expose the front face and the back face of the individual posting sheetlet.

  • Patent number: 6618581
Abstract: A radio for use by juveniles, particularly young children and pre-teens has dedicated channel selectors which are pre-set by a responsible adult and locked-in. The radio comprises a housing, a tuner compartment mounted in the housing, a full channel selector positioned in the tuner compartment and accessible only by the adult, a set of dedicated channel selectors mounted on the housing and accessible by the juvenile and a receiving unit mounted in the housing. The tuner compartment is secured by an access cover. The adult initially accesses the full channel selector and, in conjunction with the dedicated channel selectors, programs the radio so that the child accessible dedicated channel selectors tune in only those radio frequencies which the adult desires. The access cover has means to secure it such that only the adult can gain access to the full channel selector for initial dedicated channel selection and intermittent fine tuning and/or channel substitution.

  • Patent number: 6471856
Abstract: A pre-filter is for use in a skimmer basket of a hot tub. The pre-filter comprises a stabilizing ring and a shallow shaped cleanable filter permanently secured together. The stabilizing ring is dimensioned for placement within the skimmer basket or on a rim of the skimmer basket. The cleanable filter is made of a water porous synthetic material. Debris is trapped on the shaped cleanable filter as hot tub water is pulled through it on its way to a primary filter apparatus. The pre-filter is easily separated from the skimmer basket, cleaned if desired or simply replaced with a new pre-filter. A paper filter cartridge of the primary filter apparatus in the hot tub has its life significantly increased by use of the pre-filter.

  • Patent number: 6406085
Abstract: A removable bi-section cargo cover system comprises a molded floor mat and at least two detachable straps. The bi-section cargo cover system is used in a vehicle where the cargo area is convertible from a full sized to a reduced sized cargo area. The molded floor mat component includes a fold line extending from one side edge to an opposed side edge which creates two sections. The detachable straps hold the molded floor mat to the auxiliary seat backs. When the auxiliary seats are folded-down in a subfloor of the cargo area, the molded floor mat is in a planar mode overlying substantially the full sized cargo area floor surface. When the auxiliary seats are folded-up, the mold floor mat is in a right angle mode overlying substantially the reduced sized cargo area floor surface and the seat backs.
