  • Patent number: 7494532
Abstract: A carrier is used to carry a liquid, and a high voltage is applied between a discharge end of the carrier and an opposed electrode to emit ionized liquid particles. The carrier has a liquid collecting end opposite to the discharge end to feed the steam of the liquid from a steam generator, condensing the liquid therearound, and feeding the condensed liquid to the discharge end. Accordingly, even when the liquid contains cations such as those of Ca and Mg, the steam of the liquid can extremely reduce the content of these impurities, avoiding the precipitation of the impurities at the discharge end of the carrier to assure stable electrostatic atomization.

  • Patent number: 7473895
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an image detector having a housing of protrusive sectional shape. A difference in thickness between a central portion and peripheral portions of the housing is made shorter than the length of rubber cushions. A plurality of rubber cushions are attached to two rectangular bottoms of the peripheral portions made thinner than the central portion. Through these rubber cushions, the image detector is fixed to an image detector holder. As a result, the present invention reduces an inconvenience that, when an image detector is fixed to an image detector holder through rubber cushions, the thickness of the image detector including the rubber cushions increases by an amount corresponding to the height of the rubber cushions.

  • Patent number: 7472872
Abstract: A first switch for performing both a weight balancing operation for a main parallel linkage and a weight balancing operation for a supplemental parallel linkage is provided separately from a second switch for only performing a weight balancing operation for the supplemental parallel linkage. An operator can press the second switch during surgery to only correct a slightly unbalanced state of the supplemental parallel linkage in a short period of time, resulting in increased operability of the operation microscope. While the first switch is provided on an operating panel at a stand body, the second switch is provided at a lower part of a distal link located above an operating space for the operation microscope. It is thus easy for an operator to press the second switch during surgery.

  • Patent number: 7460643
Abstract: Corrected X-ray detection signals are obtained by removing lag-behind parts through a recursive computation based on initial values determined from lag signal value (step T2). Thus, the lag-behind parts can be removed by taking into consideration lag signal values remaining at a starting point of the recursive computation. The lag signal values are dependent on the characteristic of an FPD (flat panel X-ray detector). By removing the lag-behind parts, with the lag signal values taken into consideration, the lag-behind parts are removed from X-ray detection signals with increased accuracy, without being influenced by the characteristic of the FPD.

  • Patent number: 7450239
Abstract: An optical pulse evaluation device and an in-service optical pulse evaluation device is disclosed which are capable of characteristics evaluation of an optical pulse itself or a sample launched therein in a relatively high bit-rate region. The optical pulse evaluation device evaluates a pulse waveform expressing an optical intensity of the optical pulse, an instantaneous frequency of the optical pulse, or a modulated light prepared by modulating the optical pulse in a light source end. The optical pulse evaluation device also observes a waveform change after a known optical pulse is passed through a device such as an optical fiber to evaluate a waveform deterioration or a compensation behavior caused by the device. The in-service optical pulse evaluation device is capable of measuring a wavelength dispersion in an optical communication.
