  • Patent number: 7787592
Abstract: A radiographic apparatus according to this invention, when carrying out recursive computation, pixel groups consisting of detection pixels respectively corresponding to positions on a radiation detection device are sorted into locations subjected to the recursive computation and locations exempted from the recursive computation. For the locations subjected to the recursive computation, lag-behind parts are removed by the recursive computation to obtain corrected radiation detection signals. The recursive computation is not carried out at least for the locations exempted from the recursive computation. The lag-behind parts can be removed from the radiation detection signals, with a calculation amount for the recursive computation reduced by an amount corresponding to the recursive computation excluded.

  • Patent number: 7787590
Abstract: A radiographic apparatus according to this invention carries out lag correction by applying lag data based on a plurality of radiation detection signals acquired in time of non-irradiation before first irradiation, to both first and second radiation detection signals. Thus, lag correction is possible without acquiring lag components between the first irradiation and second irradiation. Also in the case of carrying out two radiation irradiations (first irradiation and second irradiation) for one image, lag-behind parts included in the radiation detection signals can be removed simply from the radiation detection signals.

  • Patent number: 7772783
Abstract: A dimmable electronic ballast for an electrodeless discharge lamp comprises an inverter circuit, a resonance circuit, an induction coil and a start circuit. The start circuit has a variable time constant. The start circuit sweeps a drive frequency of the inverter circuit through a time constant for start or restart so that the voltage applied across the coil is raised from voltage lower than start voltage and restart voltage for starting and restarting the lamp to voltage higher than the start voltage and the restart voltage. The time constant for start during a start period for starting the lamp is larger than the time constant for restart during a restart period for restarting the lamp.

  • Patent number: 7767466
Abstract: A method for filtrating liquid sample such as blood or the like with a filter member utilizing inner vacuum, the same enabling completion of filtration without removing a stopper, and superior in safety and being free from contamination. In collecting and filtrating the liquid sample using a sample collection vessel 1, in which a sample-collecting part 3 containing a filter member 4 is inserted in a vacuumed sample-storing part 2, the sample storing part 2 and sample-collecting part 3 are air-tightly sealed with a stopper 5, the liquid sample such as blood or the like collected in the sample-collecting part 3 is filtrated by the filter member 4. When the filtration stops, a hollow needle 12 is pierced through the stopper 5 and thus the sample-collecting part 3 is communicated with atmosphere, thereby the pressure in the sample-collecting part 3 being enhanced upper than in atmosphere to enable the filtration again.

  • Patent number: 7760856
Abstract: A radiographic apparatus according to this invention, when a predetermined operation relating to radiographic imaging is interposed during an emission of radiation, stops the emission temporarily, and also stops a recursive computation temporarily. With start of the predetermined operation, the emission is started again and also the recursive computation is started again. Radiation detection signals at the time of non-emission due to the temporary stop are acquired, and the recursive computation is carried out based on initial values derived from the radiation detection signals at the time of non-emission. The lag-behind parts are removed from the radiation detection signals with increased accuracy while reducing the trouble of radiographic images caused by the predetermined operation relating to radiographic imaging being interposed during an emission of radiation.

  • Patent number: 7753586
Abstract: A grid 3 arranged with a scattered radiation shielding plate 31 for each column is arranged at a front face of a radiation detector 2. The distance between the grid 3 and the radiation detector 2 is desirably a integral multiple of the height of the scattered radiation shielding plate 31. A true image signal of the pixel column including the shade is estimated from the image signal of the pixel column adjacent to the pixel column including the shade 41. The scattered radiation distribution is estimated from the image signals of the pixel column including the shade of the scattered radiation shielding plate and the image signals when considering that the shielding plate is not included in the shielded pixel. A clear diagnosis image without influence of scattered radiation is obtained by subtracting the estimated scattered radiation distribution from the estimated image signal distribution.

  • Patent number: 7755743
Abstract: In an apparatus using an intensity-modulated light for detection of spatial information based upon light intensity of light reflected from a target space, a timing synchronization circuit is provided to synchronize a phase of the intensity-modulated light from a light-emitting element with a timing of operating a light-receiving element receiving the intensity-modulated light. The light-receiving element is caused to operate for enabling the detection of intensity of the received light for each of a plurality of phase regions within one cycle of the intensity-modulated light. The timing synchronization circuit functions to compare a cyclic variation determining the operation of the light-receiving element with a cyclic variation associated with an output from a light-emitting element driving circuit in order to keep a constant phase difference between these two cyclic variations.

  • Patent number: 7746220
Abstract: A moving object detection apparatus comprises a transmitter, a receiver, a detection portion, a binary conversion portion and a judgment portion. The transmitter emits energy waves with a first frequency to a detection area. When receiving incoming energy waves from the detection area, the receiver generates an electric signal corresponding to the incoming energy waves. The detection portion obtains a detection signal from a reference signal with the first frequency and the electric signal. The binary conversion portion compares the detection signal with a conversion threshold signal to obtain a binary signal. The judgment portion judges whether or not a moving object approaching or leaving the receiver exists in the detection area based on the binary signal.

  • Patent number: 7736941
Abstract: In a light or radiation detector manufacturing method and a light or radiation detector of this invention, when forming a semiconductor, the semiconductor is formed in a predetermined thickness on a dummy substrate by vapor deposition, subsequently the dummy substrate is replaced with a graphite substrate which is a supporting substrate, and the semiconductor continues to be formed on the graphite substrate by vapor deposition. The time when forming the semiconductor in the predetermined thickness on the dummy substrate by vapor deposition is an initial state, and a defective film inevitably to be formed is formed on the dummy substrate. Subsequently, a semiconductor not in the initial state is formed on the graphite substrate put as replacement. This realizes a detector having the semiconductor of higher quality than in the prior art. The semiconductor manufactured in this way is formed continuously at least in a direction of thickness.
