  • Patent number: 4570821
Abstract: An article-dispensing assembly including a door movably mounted on a plate for selectively opening and closing an opening provided in the plate, the door including a shelf extending inwardly of the opening and providing a bin for holding an article to be dispensed. A control mechanism is movable to a first position to allow transfer of an article from a feed mechanism to the bin, and movable to a second position to block transfer of an article from the feed unit to the bin. An operating unit selectively interconnects the control unit and door to allow loading of the bin when the door is in its closed position and to preclude loading of the bin when the door is moved from the closed position.

  • Patent number: 4549729
Abstract: This conveyor apparatus is used primarily with continuous business form processing machines to provide a means of producing a stream of overlapped blanks disposed on a continuous web. The apparatus includes upper and lower conveyors. The upper conveyor is formed from a pair of endless flexible elements having transversely aligned wedge-shaped pins disposed along the length thereof with inclined trailing flanks. Document blanks are fed onto the upper conveyor such that the leading edge rides up and beyond an aligned pair of associated pins an the trailing edge is engaged by a pair of following pins. Each of the blanks is pushed by a pair of transversely aligned pins in overlapped relation to the preceding blank. The document blanks are removed from the upper conveyor and deposited in reverse overlap relation onto gum lines provided on the continuous web carried by the lower conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4520909
Abstract: A clutch actuator for use in a motor driven conveyor system includes an electrical motor and a conveyor driven by the motor with a clutch interconnecting the motor and conveyor in drive relation. The clutch actuator is responsive to motor current for actuating the clutch for selectively disconnecting the motor and the conveyor. A clutch actuator actuates the clutch, for disconnecting the motor from the conveyor, when the sense current is greater than a selectively adjusted predetermined value. The clutch actuator is selectively manually actuated for actuating the clutch for disconnecting the motor from the conveyor and selectively manually actuated for actuating the clutch for connecting the motor to the conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4502818
Abstract: A roof support pin for insertion into a roof bore having an opening comprising an elongate tube for insertion into the bore, the tube being compressed prior to insertion of the tube into the bore opening so that the tube expands to frictionally engage the bore a distance from the bore opening. In one embodiment, a roof support plate has a hole with a diameter smaller than the diameter of the bore. The plate hole compresses the diameter of the tube upon insertion of the tube into the bore through the plate hole. In another aspect, a plurality of rings longitudinally spaced axially on and retain the tube compressed prior to insertion of the tube through the plate hole into the bore. The rings slidably engage the tube for retention at the plate for allowing the tube to expand within the bore. In yet another embodiment, a spiral strip wraps and retains the tube compressed prior to insertion into the bore. The spiral strip is stripped from the tube as the tube is inserted through the plate hole.

  • Patent number: 4472009
Abstract: This cabinet and partition assembly can be used with office stands of the type having a table top, and the assembly includes a cabinet attached to the underside of the table top and having opposed side panels and a lower panel of substantially the same interior size as each other to define a square front access opening. The partition includes opposed parallel side members having perpendicular members extending therebetween, said partition having the same overall perpendicular dimensions. The partition dimensions define a square of substantially the same size as the cabinet access openings so that the opening can receive the partition in a horizontal shelf mode, or, when turned through ninety degrees, can receive the partition in a vertical divider moder. The cabinet is provided with a door which may be optionally hung on either of the cabinet side panels.
