  • Patent number: 7858896
Abstract: A spot welding gun for resistance welding of workpieces, includes a base body and a bracket, in which electrode holders are arranged, the electrodes being in turn arranged in the holders. At least one electrode holder is fixed to an actuator that enables the electrode holder fixed thereto with the electrode to be displaced in longitudinal direction towards other electrodes. To protect the electrodes a winding device with a band is arranged, the band being displaceably arranged between the contact surface of the electrode and the workpiece opposite the electrode. The winding device assigned to the displaceable electrode is connected to the displaceable electrode so that it moves at the same time as the electrode when the electrode is moved in longitudinal direction. The electrode holders and the electrodes have devices for guiding the band from the winding device axially along the electrode holders towards the electrode and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 7849937
Abstract: In a method for producing a cased horizontal string bore extending from a well shaft, a starter drill pipe is driven into the rock mass surrounding the well shaft. A hydraulically driven drill motor is arranged in the starter drill pipe and rotates a drilling tool protruding from the leading end of the starter drill pipe. The drill motor is fixed against rotation and axial displacement by a clamping device. When the final depth of the string bore is reached, the drilling tool is retracted into the starter drill pipe by axial movement of the clamping device and a free space is formed at the drift face of the string bore. The free space is filled and sealed by injection of a quick-setting, expanding filling compound. Afterwards, the clamping device, the drill motor and the drilling tool are removed from the drill pipes.

  • Patent number: 7850617
Abstract: From the global end-diastolic volume GEDV and the global ejection fraction GEF the patient monitor (4) determines a corrected global end-diastolic volume cGEDV according to cGEDV=GEDV/ƒ(GEF) which is used as a novel parameter for volume responsiveness of the patient (3). In the above formula, f(GEF) is a correction function depending on global ejection fraction GEF. Further, from the right ventricular end-diastolic volume RVEDV and the right ventricular ejection fraction RVEF the patient monitor (4) determines a corrected right ventricular end-diastolic volume cRVEDV according to cRVEDV=RVEDV1f(RVEF) which is used as another novel parameter for volume responsiveness of the patient (3). In the above formula, f(RVEF) is a correction function depending on right ventricular ejection fraction RVEF.

  • Patent number: 7845075
Abstract: A camshaft has at least two completely machined individual cams fixedly mounted on a shaft in predetermined angular positions. The shaft includes an outside shaft and an inside shaft arranged concentrically in the former, and is to be manufactured in such a way that remachining of the joined camshaft is not necessary. This is by combining the individual cams even before they are mounted on a shaft and joining them to this shaft to form a machining module, such that the individual cams are combined in their mutual arrangement in relation to one another in which the cams are to be mounted on the finished camshaft. The final machining of the cams is performed within this machining nodule. When the cams are completely machined in this way, the cams are joined to the shaft of the camshaft within the machining module. This ensures that the desired mutual arrangement is maintained, i.e., that remachining is not necessary.

  • Patent number: 7845255
Abstract: The invention relates to pliers, especially cutting pliers or crimping pliers, comprising limbs which cross in a single joint in the longitudinal direction thereof, form co-operating working regions on one side of the joint, and embody grips on the other side of the joint. The limbs are interconnected in such a way that they can only rotate in relation to each other, and co-operating recesses are provided on both limbs in order to guide the rotation. A rotational axis of the limbs is located outside the recesses, on the side of the working regions, and a first limb in the joint region is respectively covered, i.e. on both sides, by a lapping part which is connected to the other limb in a fixed manner. The aim of the invention is to provide the inventive pliers with an advantageous structure for the transfer of high gripping forces, also in terms of the forces acting in the joint. To this end, the lapping part is connected to the other limb in such a way that it covers the recesses of the first limb.
