Abstract: A device for clamping off organic tissue has a tissue clamp with clamping bars in holders. A proximal clamping bar can be displaced in a guide groove of an application crosspiece by a tappet, while the distal clamping bar maintains its position until the tissue has been clamped off. The clamping bars have guide pin, or the distal clamping bar has a fixation shoulder. The pins or shoulder fit into crosswise grooves in the application crosspiece, and thus the clamping bars can be inserted into them vertically. The proximal clamping bar has a holder pin on its base that engages into a holder bore of the distal clamping bar. This produces a force-fit and shape-fit connection with this bore, while simultaneously clamping off the organic tissue. The guide pins shear off if the force required to clamp off the organic tissue is exceeded.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for adjusting the steering wheel of a motor vehicle. The aim of the invention is to enable an automatic adjustment of the steering wheel in the steering clearance center by ‘stabilizing’ or carrying out a steering hysteresis measurement, and the subsequent adjustment of the steering wheel, in a simple, rapid and cost-effective manner. To this end, the invention relates to a method for adjusting the steering wheel of a motor vehicle in the steering wheel clearance center, the method being characterized by the following steps: the floating plates of the vehicle geometry test bed, on which the front wheels of the motor vehicle are arranged, are rotated when the wheels are stopped in order to cause the rotation of steering wheel; the steering wheel angle is determined according to the triggered steering wheel movement; and the steering wheel clearance center is adjusted.

Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a sterile aqueous solution of a substance inhibiting the enzymatic decomposition of endogenous opioide neuropeptides, especially enkephalins, for producing a preparation provided for intravenous infusion, in order to intensify the action of punctual stimulation therapy carried out with an electrical current. One such substance is e.g. D-phenylalanine. In cases that are difficult to treat, pain can be effectively reduced or stopped by infusion of the preparation.
Abstract: Method for establishing and possibly locating leaks in pipelines (1) for transporting liquid or gaseous media using at least one electrical conductor (2) running along the longitudinal extension of the pipeline (1) from a starting point to an end point. Accordingly, a defined test voltage (Um, UL) is applied between two electrical conductors (2) or between one electrical conductor 92) and the pipeline (1), and the resistance and/or impedance behavior between starting point and end point of the two conductors (2) or the conductor (2) and the pipeline (1) is ascertained with intact pipeline (1), and at later times, the resistance and/or impedance behavior is ascertained at the same test voltages (Um, UL) and compared to the resistance and/or impedance behavior known for the intact pipeline (1), the presence of a leak being thusly ascertained.
Abstract: A system for mounting a component in an aperture of a supporting surface has a mounting flange surrounding the component to be mounted, and at least two clamp dogs attached to the mounting flange and located adjacent a rear surface of the mounting flange. The component is inserted into a mounting hole cut in a sheet rock surface or ceiling tile, so that the flange abuts the front face of the surface. The clamping assemblies are located on the rear face of the surface. There is a pivoting system for pivoting the clamp dog around an axis. The pivoting system is operable from both the front surface and the rear surface of the mounting flange so that the clamp dogs can be actuated from either side of the sheet rock or ceiling tile.
Abstract: A coating method deposits a metal coating of particles from the gas phase on a flat, metal substrate retained by a substrate holder at a reduced pressure, and the particles are evaporated using at least one energy source from containers constituting at least one evaporation source. The metal coating is built up of several sequentially applied individual coatings.
Abstract: A refrigerant compressor has a hermetically tight compressor housing inside of which a piston-cylinder unit operates. A suction muffler through which refrigerant flows to the intake valve of the piston-cylinder unit is provided on the cylinder head. The inlet of the suction muffler has a cross section via which refrigerant flows into the suction muffler. A compensating volume is provided inside of which refrigerant oscillates and which is connected to the suction muffler and the interior of the compressor housing. The cross section of the inlet also acts as the connecting port between the compensating volume and the filling volume. The compensating volume is formed by an outer tube directed into the compressor housing, which tightly surrounds the intake port of the inlet while surrounding the section of the refrigerant suction pipe that is connected to the evaporator of the compressor and extends into the interior of the compressor housing.
Abstract: The invention relates to a reclining means which has a mattress with a multiplicity of air chambers arranged in lattice form. Also provided is a mattress-profile memory which stores, for each of the air chambers, valve-control data corresponding to a mattress profile. The reclining means also has a data-carrier holder, into which a data carrier can be inserted, and means for writing valve-control data into a data carrier inserted into the data-carrier holder, as well as means for reading valve-control data which are stored on a data carrier inserted into the data-carrier holder.

Raw data of the pickup device are converted to uncorrected interim color values with a smaller number of pixels than the pickup device, and the uncorrected interim color values are then subjected to a color correction calculation and are finally converted into corrected interim color values for the output device.
Abstract: An apparatus for separating exhaust particulates from an exhaust gas stream, includes a ceramic honeycomb body with ducts through which exhaust gas can flow and which extend in the longitudinal direction of the honeycomb body, with the honeycomb body being provided with electrodes for generating an electric field which are each oriented transversally to the axis of the ducts. The electrodes are each formed by a group of ducts in which an electric conductor is introduced at least partly along their axial extension. It preferably includes a metallic coating.

Abstract: The present invention provides a socket for an element with an element electrode. The socket comprises a base shell, a cover shell and a contact member. The cover shell is engaged with the base shell so that the base shell and the cover shell define a cavity. Each of the base shell and the cover shell is made of a high thermal-conductive material. The contact member comprises an elastic member and a contact electrode provided on the elastic member and are designed and arranged so that the element is mountable on the contact member within the cavity with the element electrode connected to the contact electrode.
