  • Patent number: 7766901
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for treating bladder emptying dysfunctions of a human, in which a catheter that can be inserted into the urethra is provided with a bladder emptying channel and with a balloon arrangement, which serves to seal the bladder and to hold the catheter inside the bladder lumen and which can be filled with a fluid. In addition, an automatically closing valve having an elastically held closure part is provided in a proximal end area of the catheter and is connected via a connecting channel filled with an actuating fluid to an actuating balloon placed at the distal end section of the catheter. Without the use of mechanical means, the closure part can be lead out of a sealing system solely due to a hydraulic action effected by the actuating balloon via the hydraulic pressure built up in the connecting channel at said proximal end section.

Abstract: A method for starting high-performance entrained flow gasification reactors with a combination burner or a plurality of pulverized fuel burners, and an ignition and pilot burner. The ignition and pilot burner is ignited, substoichiometrically with fuel gas and a gasifier containing free oxygen. The reactor is brought to the pressure intended and a flow of a fuel gas is supplied with a partial flow of the gasification agent at a substoichiometric ratio through the fuel lines leading to the fuel burner and ignited by the flame of the ignition and pilot burner with a partial flow of the gasification agent. Next, the pulverized fuel is supplied together with a further oxygen-containing gasifying agent through the supply lines to the pulverized fuel burner and is ignited by the flame of the ignition and pilot burner and by the fuel gas flames of the combustible gas generated at the pulverized fuel burner.

  • Patent number: 7762178
Abstract: A two-part piston for an internal combustion engine consists of an upper part, a lower part and a circumferential, closed cooling channel radially on the outside and close to the piston crown. The channel is closed off, on its underside, by a cooling channel cover which is connected via a skirt connection with two skirt elements that lie opposite one another. In order to reduce the piston weight and nevertheless avoid secondary movements of the piston, circumferential recesses are provided in the region of the skirt elements, which are delimited by the cooling channel cover on the piston crown side and by the skirt connections on the skirt side. The skirt connections are connected with the radially inner region of the cooling channel cover on the piston crown side, and with the upper regions of the skirt elements on the skirt side.

  • Patent number: 7761956
Abstract: A system for dry cleaning workpieces by removing solid and/or liquid particles adhereing thereto with a gaseous medium by suction. To this end, a suction mold encloses the workpieces on all sides while serving as a guiding device whose inner contour follows the outer contour of the workpiece. The cleaning medium flows to the gaps between the suction mold and the workpiece via feed slots and/or feed boreholes of the suction mold. Gaps, medium feed slots and/or medium feed boreholes are formed, arranged and dimensioned so that the flowing medium has a velocity of greater than 20 m/s everywhere on the surface of the workpiece, and the solid and/or liquid particles adhereing thereto are carried away.

  • Patent number: 7759876
Abstract: A light comprising a housing, a plurality of LED lights coupled in an array inside of the housing, and a reflective protrusion coupled to the housing wherein the reflective protrusion is for reflecting light from the LED lights out of the housing. The housing can be of any shape such as tubular, bowl shaped, or having an oval cross section. In addition, the reflective protrusion can be of any shape such as dome shaped or pyramidal shaped. The circuitry relating to this LED light array can include a power source such as a connection to an AC or DC input. If the connection is to an AC input, the device can also include an AC/DC converter coupled to the power source for receiving an input from the AC power source. In this way the LED array receives a consistent flow of DC current that will not result in the LED lights burning out. To prevent this LED array from burning out there is also a current regulator for controlling a current flowing through this LED array.

Abstract: A method is for setting at least one predetermined distance between a machine tool (10) and a metallic or non-metallic electrically conductive workpiece (12) according to which a capacitive and/or inductive sensor (16) fixed to the machine tool (10) while facing the workpiece (12). The machine tool (10) is displaced with constant speed toward the workpiece (12) by means of a drive device, and a sensor signal is output at predetermined time intervals by means of a data processing unit (24). The sensor signal has a characteristic quantity that continuously changes in a non-linear manner according to the distance of the machine tool (10) from the workpiece (12). The data processing unit (24) compares each read out value of the characteristic quantity with a comparative value read out before at a predetermined number of time intervals and calculates the difference between the values that are compared with one another.
