  • Patent number: 7732710
Abstract: The instant invention overcomes the difficulties encountered with respect to mounting electrical wiring devices to a common box and then positioning the devices relative to each other prior to attaching a wall plate. Some of the difficulties encountered are positioning the wiring devices to be in alignment with each other, locating the wiring devices to be parallel to each other, adjusting the spacing between the different devices to be equal and uniform and fixing all of the devices to be flat against the wall. The alignment pins, when engaged by the close clearance locating openings, accurately positions the wiring devices to allow a wall plate to be placed around the wiring devices without requiring any initial or subsequent adjustment. Each set of alignment pins on the alignment plate can be located on a vertical axis which accurately defines the center for the wiring device. The opening in the wiring device receives and holds captive a set of alignment pins.

  • Patent number: 7733679
Abstract: A method for an inverter, for inputting power output by a direct current voltage source in an alternating current voltage network chops the direct current voltage source by a bridge inverter by alternate switching of parallel-mounted and series-mounted circuit elements, in the form of a pulse width modulation, and the chopped power is transmitted via a transformer which is connected between the series-mounted elements. The transmitted power is then rectified and input in the alternating current voltage network via a down-converter transformer. In order to adapt the inverter to the power supplied, the switching times of the circuit elements of the bridge inverter are controlled or regulated.

  • Patent number: 7731041
Abstract: A gantry stacker for transporting and stacking freight containers consists of two chassis beams with steerable wheels, supports, a hoist, an overhead frame, a lifting beam a driver's cab and engines. There are at least two spreaders that are movable in a horizontal direction independent of each other and are disposed in a side-by-side relationship on a lifting beam. Containers deposited directly side-by-side with no gap there between may be gripped, transported and separated or that spaced-apart containers with an alley may be gripped, transported and moved toward each other so that they may be readily transported further, using multispreader systems. Containers of different heights may be gripped and transported. The lifting height allows for straddling containers standing on the floor with attached and lifted containers.

  • Patent number: 7731206
Abstract: The invention relates to a fork-lift truck comprising two steering wheels mounted on one axle, provided with a lifting and steering device arranged thereon and a fork-carrier frame mounted on the track rollers, comprising two supporting beams. The fork-carrier frame is mounted in such a manner that it interacts with the lifting and steering device. The fork-lift truck also comprises a set of wheels which can be disposed in the region of the front ends of the fork of the supporting beams on the fork-carrier frame. The aim of the invention is to enable a fork-lift truck to be fitted with an additional set of wheels if desired without having an adverse effect on the advantages of the use thereof. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the fork-lift truck comprises overlapping tracks which extend the supporting beams and which can be detachably fixed to the fork-carrier frame and can be placed onto the supporting beams. The set of wheels are detachably arranged on the front side of the tracks.

  • Patent number: 7726676
Abstract: A device for hand-driven operation of a guided wheel arranged on a steering gear is pivotable about a steering axis perpendicular to the wheel's axis of rotation. The device includes first and second handles, first and second coupling devices respectively arranged thereon, and a power transmission train coupled to transmit traction power to the second coupling device via coupling points for transmitting handle movement to a drive device cooperating with the guided wheel's hub. The power transmission train extends from the first coupling device via deflecting elements, thereby modifying the extension direction of the train, in a second power transmission section to the second coupling device such that the coupling devices move the coupling points of the train on substantially linear drive paths approaching and absenting of a symmetrical plane of guidance which is oriented in a perpendicular manner in relation to the axis of rotation of the guided wheel.

  • Patent number: 7726747
Abstract: A locking mechanism for installing between a master cylinder and a brake line includes a housing having an internal bore, an inlet port, a passage, and an outlet port. A reciprocating piston is movable within the bore. A locking lever is coupled to the reciprocating piston for actuating the reciprocating piston. A fastener having an internal fluid passage for providing fluid communication between the passage and the master cylinder secures the housing to the master cylinder. The locking lever is moveable between a first position, wherein the hydraulic fluid can flow freely between the master cylinder and the brake line for engaging and disengaging the vehicle brake and a second position, wherein the hydraulic fluid is prevented from returning to the master cylinder for maintaining the vehicle brake in an engaged state.

  • Patent number: 7721982
Abstract: A file shredder has an integrated unit for automatic feed of sheets of paper or similar materials. An upper device part contains a cutting mechanism, at least one drive, and a control device. A feed shaft leads from the top of the upper device part, and a secondary channel leads from a chamber-like intake opening disposed on the side, to the cutting mechanism. A hinged lid pivotable about an axis is assigned to the chamber-like intake opening, and the upper device part sits on a lower device part. A barrier is disposed near the front, lower edge of the face surface of the hinged lid, and along this edge. The barrier rests on the top sheet of the stack of sheets laid into the chamber-like intake opening, and removes any objects still adhering to this sheet, particularly staples, when the sheet is drawn in toward the cutting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7717142
Abstract: A method for the production of a filled metering pump arrangement fills a product capable of flow into a film bag, which is accommodated in a container. The film bag and the container are closed by means of a pump that can be activated manually, which blocks a fluid connection between an outlet opening and the interior of the film bag, in the unstressed state, by means of at least one kick-back valve. Furthermore, the gas situated in the film bag is removed, at least approximately completely, by having at least one feed channel remain open in the container after it has been closed by the pump. By means of the at least one feed channel, a fluid that is under pressure is introduced into the container so that the film bag is compressed in the container and as a result, the gases situated in the film bag are ejected from it through the pump and/or through a bypass channel that circumvents it.

  • Patent number: 7717575
Abstract: The invention relates to a triple prism which reflects light, a reflector and to a method for recognizing an object. A reflective photoelectric barrier sends light to a reflector. The reflector does not answer with the form of the obtained light signal, but with a double signal which projects two light centers. The reflector can also be embodied such that it answers with a different geometric figure than the light projection. The reflector with a modified signal enables a sensor system to be produced and which can verify, by evaluating the light signal captured by the reflector, whether the captured signal of the reflector or another reflection.
