  • Patent number: 7187393
Abstract: A display screen comprises many pixel lamps arrayed uniformly and in a regular pattern. Pixel lamps come in three types (first- to third-color lamps), and image data to be displayed on the screen consist of bit-map type multi-colored data in which one pixel is represented by a set of three-type color data (first- to third-color data). Each color data plane on a bit-map image data plane is divided into many groups each consisting of a plurality of contiguous pixels, each group is correlated to each first color lamp on the display screen, an operation of selecting in a preset sequence first-color data of a plurality of pixels belonging to one group is repeated, and a first-color lamp correlating to each group is emission-driven according to a selected first-color data. (The same steps are followed for second- and third-color lamps).

  • Patent number: 7185572
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to produce a rounding off on a diesel piston comprising a combustion recess and valve recesses that lie at a slant in relation to the piston floor. The rounding off should not significantly increase particle emissions. To this end, the edge of the recess is rounded off in the area of the valve recesses in a special machining phase, the cutting edges of the cutting tool being guided in one or more planes that are parallel to the inclined valve recess surface.

  • Patent number: 7185660
Abstract: An artificial fingernail and method of making an artificial fingernail is provided in which the artificial fingernail is pre-taped with an adhesive layer covered by a removable liner during the manufacturing process. In one aspect, the artificial fingernail includes a polymeric body having a shape corresponding with at least a portion of a natural fingernail. An adhesive layer is secured to at least a portion of the lower surface of the polymeric body. The adhesive layer is adapted to adhere to an upper surface of a wearer's natural fingernail when applied thereto. A removable liner covers the adhesive layer and is removable to expose the adhesive layer for application to the natural fingernail.

  • Patent number: 7181976
Abstract: The invention relates to a spring-elastic measuring element (1) for thermometers, pressure switches or manometers consisting of an arc-shaped measuring tube (3), a base body (2) and a connecting element (10) for the measuring mechanism. The aim of the invention is to achieve the fully automated welding of the thermally influenced zone and to improve the latter. To achieve this, the connections between the measuring tube (3) and the base body (2) and the measuring tube and the connecting element (10) are obtained using connecting elements (11, 12) that can be welded. This allows the risk of contamination of the measuring system to be eliminated to a great extent and reduces the formation of corrosion and vibration cracks by the use of a small thermally influenced zone. A connecting element (11, 12) can also be produced as one-piece with the measuring tube (3) by expanding or creating a bead on the latter.

  • Patent number: 7181842
Abstract: A method of producing a workpiece forming at least one bearing eye is described, which is divided in the region of the bearing eye along an intended fracture point through a fracture separation, the bearing eye being coated with an anti-friction coating after assembly of the parts. In order to achieve a high load capacity, it is suggested that the bearing eye be processed for a precise fit after assembly of the parts obtained through the fracture separation of the workpiece, before the anti-friction coating is applied to the processed bearing eye surface in a thickness corresponding to the final dimensions.

  • Patent number: 7178238
Abstract: A method of producing a workpiece (1) having at least one bearing eye (2) is described, the bearing eye (2) being coated with an anti-friction coating (4), which forms a running surface deviating from a circular cylinder. In order to provide advantageous production conditions, it is suggested that the bearing eye (2) be processed for a precise fit to a circular cylinder, before the anti-friction coating (4) is galvanically deposited on the processed bearing eye surface (3) to form the running surface in a varying thickness which corresponds to the final dimensions.
