  • Patent number: 7162374
Abstract: A device for determining flow parameters, particularly the temperature and flow speed and changes therein, in a fluid flow for monitoring and a fire recognition or oxygen measuring device provided with such a device are provided. A slow or sudden blockage, crack or break in a pipe system of an aspirative fire recognition device is recognized by a measurement technique, whereby an air flow sensor, operated with a constant excess temperature, is combined with a regulation algorithm, running in a microprocessor, for monitoring pipe system fluid flow or flow resistance. The required resistance of the air flow sensor can thus be calculated by an exact sensor calibration curve and a precise control loop formed. The measured values recorded by the air flow sensor are extremely reliable, such that changes in condition for the flow parameters provide information about the state of the pipe system or the intake system.

  • Patent number: 7160177
Abstract: A device for high-precision machining of the surface of an object, such as for polishing and lapping semiconductor substrates, in which the object is held on an accommodation surface for its machining. The accommodation surface can be deformed by means of a actuators connected to the surface in a positive-lock and/or non-positive-lock manner. The actuators are provided between a base plate and an accommodation plate that are mechanically biased relative to one another. The accommodation plate is configured, on its inside, with concentric grooves forming rigid rings in the axial direction. The individual rings are connected by solid substance joints. Piezo-stacks configured as actuator-sensor elements, as well as springs, are disposed between the faces of the rings and the base plates and are offset relative to one another by 120°.

  • Patent number: 7156149
Abstract: A method is described for producing a stratified composite material, with a layer of sinterable solids particles being applied to a strip-like metal carrier and being sintered with liquid phase by the supply of heat continuously in the forward feed direction. In order to provide simplified production conditions it is proposed that the metal carrier is heated continuously in the forward feed direction with a temperature profile which decreases towards lower temperatures from a maximum temperature above the melting temperature of the solids particles in the region of a surface layer receiving the particle layer towards a core layer of the metal carrier, and that the particle layer is sintered at least in a layer resting on the metal carrier by a heat transmission from the heated metal carrier.

Abstract: A motor spindle includes a spindle shaft for receiving a tool. The spindle shaft is accommodated in the housing of the motor spindle in a fixed bearing and a loose bearing. The received tool enters into contact with the machined workpiece in a tool interface when the spindle shaft is driven and the tool interface is displaced in an axial direction of the spindle shaft when a workpiece is machined. A displacement sensor is provided on the spindle bearing in order to determine the axial displacement of the tool interface. There is also a motor spindle including a spindle shaft for receiving a tool. The spindle shaft is accommodated in the housing of the motor spindle in a fixed bearing and in a loose bearing with an axially displaceable bearing bushing. The tool enters into contact with the machined workpiece at the tool interface when the spindle shaft is driven, and an adjusting element which is used to adjust the axial displacement of the bearing bushing of the motor spindle is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7150051
Abstract: A device for generating a massage stream in a sanitary tub has an accommodation device that can be attached to an opening in the tub body of the sanitary tub, for accommodating an electric motor having a drive shaft, a propeller having a hub attached to the drive shaft and vanes arranged radially about the hub. There is a rosette arranged on the accommodation device, positioned within the sanitary tub, having edge-side inflow openings, as well as a central outlet opening. The propeller draws water located in the sanitary tub in through the inflow openings, and subsequently transports it back into the sanitary tub, through a guide element arranged in the outlet opening, which can be pivoted relative to the hub axis. The guide element is configured as a guide vane ring and has a ring-shaped bearing shell at the outer end of the guide vanes. The shell moves between a glide surface of the accommodation device that is configured as a sphere surface segment, and a concave contact surface of the rosette.
