  • Patent number: 7387198
Abstract: A balanced flat stroke bi-directional conveyor for conveying object, granular and powder material. The unit utilizes the skewed sine wave trough stroke principle using primary eccentric counterweights wheels driven by a motor running at the secondary speed and equipped with the secondary eccentric counterweight wheels and a third counterweight wheel. The forces not in line with the trough stroke are absorbed with an isolation spring mounted between the drive assembly and the base, while the forces in line with the trough are balanced via a connected balancer.

  • Patent number: 7385879
Abstract: A radio-controlled clock (RCC) for receiving and decoding a transmitted time signal to display a precise time in accordance with a time standard. A light emitting diode (LED) display emits sufficient light for easy readability under all lighting conditions, including the time numerals. A signal reception indicator remains lit if the RCC has successfully decoded a time signal. If the time signal is currently being received and decoded, the signal reception indicator flashes. If the decoding is unsuccessful, the signal reception indicator will be unlit until the next decoding attempt. A power transformer to supply current to electronic circuitry contained within in the housing of the RCC is located in the power line cord, as at the plug end, to minimize electromagnetic interference with the decoding of the time signals. A signal strength indicator may have multiple segments to indicate if the received signal is strong, medium, weak or too weak for decoding.

  • Patent number: 7384832
Abstract: By using lasers having different wavelengths in laser annealing of an amorphous semiconductor film, the amorphous semiconductor film can be crystallized and the crystallinity of the crystallized film is improved. A laser 126 to 370 nm in wavelength is used first to subject an amorphous semiconductor film to laser annealing, thereby obtaining a crystalline semiconductor film. In desirable laser annealing, a subject surface is irradiated with a laser beam processed by an optical system into a linear laser beam that is linear in section on the subject surface. Next, a laser 370 to 650 nm in wavelength is used to irradiate the above crystalline semiconductor film by again processing the laser beam into a linear beam through an optical system. A crystalline semiconductor film thus obtained has an excellent crystallinity. If this crystalline semiconductor film is used to form an active layer of a TFT, an electric characteristic of the TFT can be improved.

  • Patent number: 7374870
Abstract: Systems and methods treat plasma carrying contaminants and cellular matter that are capable of entraining contaminants. The systems and methods separate cellular matter from the plasma by filtration, thereby removing contaminants entrained within the cellular matter. The system and methods add to the plasma a photoactive material. The systems and methods emit radiation at a selected wavelength into the plasma to activate the photoactive material and thereby eradicate the contaminant that is free of entrainment by cellular matter.

  • Patent number: 7374983
Abstract: Manufacture of TFTs corresponding to various circuits makes structures thereof complex, which involves a larger number of manufacturing steps. Such an increase in the number of the manufacturing steps leads to a higher manufacturing cost and a lower manufacturing yield. In the invention, a high concentration of impurities is doped by using as masks a tapered resist that is used for the manufacture of a tapered gate electrode, and the tapered gate electrode, and then the tapered gate electrode is etched in the perpendicular direction using the resist as a mask. A semiconductor layer under the thusly removed tapered portion of the gate electrode is doped with a low concentration of impurities.

  • Patent number: 7372076
Abstract: By doping an organic compound functioning as an electron donor (hereinafter referred to as donor molecules) into an organic compound layer contacting a cathode, donor levels can be formed between respective LUMO (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital) levels between the cathode and the organic compound layer, and therefore electrons can be injected from the cathode, and transmission of the injected electrons can be performed with good efficiency. Further, there are no problems such as excessive energy loss, deterioration of the organic compound layer itself, and the like accompanying electron movement, and therefore an increase in the electron injecting characteristics and a decrease in the driver voltage can both be achieved without depending on the work function of the cathode material.

  • Patent number: 7373233
Abstract: What is described is a control system for controlling the coupling between a driveshaft of a motor vehicle propulsion system and a primary input shaft of a gearbox by means of a servo-assisted friction clutch. A control unit receives at its input signals indicating a command imparted by the driver of the motor vehicle by operating the accelerator pedal in a driving-away or gear-changing manoeuvre, and generates—on the basis of a mathematical reference model—reference torque request signals indicating the reference torques requested from the driveshaft and from the friction clutch, the said request signals or data varying in time in such a way as to cause synchronization between the angular velocities of the driveshaft and of the primary gear shaft to be reached at the same moment as the difference between the angular accelerations of the said shafts becomes zero.

  • Patent number: 7372737
Abstract: The nonvolatile memory according to the present invention can precisely read information included in a memory transistor subject to a shift phenomenon because electrical read is performed on the memory transistor by using a reference voltage generated from a refresh memory transistor. Further, according to the present invention, the period of time during which the refresh operation is performed can be longer than before, which improves the reliability of information stored in the memory transistor. Furthermore, the margin between distributions of threshold voltages can be reduced, which improves the scale of integration of the multilevel nonvolatile memory.

  • Patent number: 7372200
Abstract: The present invention uses plastic film in vacuum sealing an OLED. Inorganic insulating films which can prevent oxygen or water from being penetrated therein and an organic insulating film which has a smaller internal stress than that of the inorganic insulating films are laminated on an inside of the plastic film. By sandwiching the organic insulating film between the inorganic insulating films, a stress can be relaxed. Further, by laminating a plurality of inorganic insulating films, even if one of the inorganic insulating films has a crack, the other inorganic insulating films can effectively prevent oxygen or water from being penetrated into an organic light emitting layer. Further, the stress of the entire sealing film can be relaxed and cracking due to the stress takes place less often.
