  • Patent number: 7338506
Abstract: A method and clip for treating presbyopia and/or open angle glaucoma in which the sclera is supported or reinforced, while substantially maintaining the special relationship between the ciliary muscle and the lens. The method includes making an incision in the conjunctiva to gain access to the sclera overlying the ciliary muscle. The Tenon's capsules are moved laterally to expose the sclera, and the sclera is extended outwardly. A clip, or series of clips, is provided having two closeable arms for engaging the outwardly-extended sclera therebetween. The arms of the clip are closed on the sclera so as to grasp a portion of the sclera, and then the Tenon's capsules are slid over the clip and the conjunctiva is closed.

  • Patent number: 7335593
Abstract: A gate metal is formed in a film, the foregoing gate metal is partially etched per each TFT having a different property, and a gate electrode is fabricated. Specifically, a resist mask is fabricated by exposing a resist to light per each TFT having a different property which is required. A gate metal is etched per each TFT having a different property which is required using the foregoing resist mask. At this time, a gate metal covering a semiconductor active layer of a TFT except for the TFT during the time when the patterning of a gate electrode is performed is left as it is covered. The step of fabricating a gate electrode of each TFT may be performed under the conditions optimized in conformity with the required property.

  • Patent number: 7335911
Abstract: By providing appropriate TFT structures arranged in various circuits of the semiconductor device in response to the functions required by the circuits, it is made possible to improve the operating performances and the reliability of a semiconductor device, reduce power consumption as well as realizing reduced manufacturing cost and increase in yield by lessening the number of processing steps. An LDD region of a TFT is formed to have a concentration gradient of an impurity element for controlling conductivity which becomes higher as the distance from a drain region decreases. In order to form such an LDD region having a concentration gradient of an impurity element, the present invention uses a method in which a gate electrode having a taper portion is provided to thereby dope an ionized impurity element for controlling conductivity accelerated in the electric field so that it penetrates through the gate electrode and a gate insulating film into a semiconductor layer.

  • Patent number: 7332815
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a semiconductor device, an ID tag, in which delay of signal transmission with conductive layers is controlled. In addition, the other object is that a design method of such a semiconductor device is provided. A semiconductor device of the invention comprises a plurality of conductive layers, a plurality of first element groups each of which selects one among the conductive layers and a plurality of second element groups each of which amplifies a signal each transmitted from the conductive layers. Each of the second element groups is disposed between the first element groups. Stated another way, the first element group and the second element group are disposed alternately. The delay of the signal transmission with the plurality of conductive layers is controlled because a load by a parasitic capacitance is reduced due to the above feature.

  • Patent number: 7332096
Abstract: A filtration medium is sealed within a housing. The filtration medium is sized and configured to define multiple filtration regions within the housing, through which independent, though concurrent, blood filtration can occur. Each filtration region is served by its own inlet path, which conveys blood into the filtration region. The filtration medium in each filtration region passes the blood to remove at least one undesired component, such as, e.g., leukocytes. After filtration, the multiple filter regions convey the blood into a single, centrally located manifold. A single outlet path communicates with the manifold.

  • Patent number: 7329985
Abstract: A self-light emitting display device with top-emission usually has no film that is capable of light shielding. Therefore, it is necessary to form a light-shielding layer additionally with, which leads the number of processes to increase. In the present invention, plural films selected from a first coloring layer 161, a second coloring layer 162, and a third coloring layer 163 formed on an opposing substrate are laminated to form a light-shielding portion without using a light-shielding mask.

  • Patent number: 7330162
Abstract: A driving method is provided which improves the duty ratio, which presents high image quality by securing a sufficient length of sustain (lighting) period when gray scales are increased in number, and which prolongs the lifetime of a light emitting element. One frame period has m (m is a natural number equal to or larger than 2) different sub-frame periods SF1, SF2, . . . , and SFm. The m different sub-frame periods SF1, SF2, . . . , and SFm each have an address period and a sustain period. Analog data signals are inputted to their respective light emitting elements in the address period. In the sustain period, the light emitting elements emit light in response to the analog data signals at n (n is a natural number equal to or larger than 2) levels of luminance for gray scale display.

  • Patent number: 7325566
Abstract: A filtering seal for a solenoid valve has an annular base member which defines an axial first retainer surface and a radial sealing surface. Legs extend from the base member. An annular screen support member is attached to the legs and has an axial second retainer surface. The first and second retainer surfaces are on outside diameters of the base member and screen support member. A cylindrical filter screen has one end mounted on the base member and the other end mounted on the screen support member, in engagement with the retainer surfaces. The base member may have bosses protruding from an end face to form a rotary seal suitable for engagement with a swivel connector. The radial sealing surface of the base member is located outwardly of the filter screen where the radial sealing surface can be compressed without affecting the filter screen.

  • Patent number: 7324097
Abstract: A level shifter that accommodates lower driving voltage of a driver circuit and has a sufficient capability of converting the amplitude of an input signal even when the voltage amplitude of the input signal is low is provided. A level shifter utilizing a current mirror circuit 150 and a differential circuit 160 is used in a portion for converting the voltage amplitude of the signal. Since the potential difference of a signal input through transistors 105 and 106 to the differential circuit 120 is amplified and outputted, the voltage amplitude can be normally converted without influence of the threshold of a transistor even when the voltage amplitude of the input signal is low.
