Abstract: A body structure for a passenger motor vehicle includes an end unit provided with a support system formed by transverse and longitudinal supports; the support system is retained at a boundary wall of a passenger cell by a mounting arrangement including detachable elements. In order to achieve a good force translation from the end unit to the passenger cell and in order to be able to carry out a rapid and cost-favorable repair of the end unit in case of an accidental impact, several mounting devices for an upper longitudinal support and a lower longitudinal support of the support system are provided at the boundary wall, whereby the longitudinal supports of the support system are received by further supports so as to generally form a continuation of the support structure of the passenger cell.

Abstract: In a double clutch transmission, especially for a motor vehicle, it is necessary for the completely satisfactory shifting sequence to engage and disengage the clutches alternately; in order that such a sequence is assured, differential pressure switches are provided which include a signalling device that indicates end positions of the clutches to an electronic control installation for evaluation purposes.

Abstract: A convertible top for a passenger motor vehicle with a top cover includes a rear wall window formed by a flexible windowpane. In order to provide a rear wall window that responds to the requirements during summer and winter operation, the flexible windowpane is constructed to be removable and interchangeable with a fixed-glass windowpane. The fixed-glass pane is provided at an edge facing the body with plug-in elements which cooperate with receiving and mounting devices arranged on the side of the body. Additionally, the fixed-glass pane is retained at the body by means of at least one disengageable locking mechanism and is connected to adjacent body parts.

Abstract: A punch which includes a notching tool and a separating which are adapted to punch at least one notch and a separating gap in each effective working stroke of the punch. A separating tool is formed by at least two independently disposed separating punches which are spaced from each other by a distance which is equal to or greater than a width of a web formed between two punched notches. Likewise, the notching tool may be in the form of two independent spaced notching punches.

Abstract: Tripping apparatus in vehicles for an occupant protection apparatus in impact restraining systems is provided with a test circuit which permits a testing of the evaluation circuit and of the switching stage of the tripping apparatus by means of an alternating voltage signal without interrupting the functional readiness of the apparatus. The test circuit consists of a series arrangement of a filter, a maximum value rectifier and an integrator and is inserted between the output of the switching stage and the input of the evaluation circuit.

Abstract: In a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine, an upwardly arcuately shaped combustion space is formed in the cylinder head, which contains suspended valves arranged V-shaped. The valves are moved as close as possible to the combustion space boundary and form narrow spaces with respect thereto. The radii of the transitional arcs from the valve-end faces to the combustion space boundary increase continuously from the narrow spaces in both circumferential directions of the combustion space boundary and reach their maximum values in the center plane between the valves. The combustion space curvature is matched to the predetermined angles of inclination of the valves.

Abstract: A temperature insert for a cooling medium mixing thermostat of internal combustion engines includes, in addition to a first expansion capsule arranged in the mixing space and supported at the housing by way of a piston rod, a second expansion capsule; the first expansion capsule thereby has a higher actuating temperature than the second expansion capsule and carries both a radiator return valve as also a by-pass valve which cooperate alternately with their respective valve seats. The second expansion capsule is exposed to the temperature of the cooling medium in the radiator return line and actuates by way of a common piston rod the radiator return valve and the by-pass valve by movement of the first expansion capsule when the temperature in the radiator return line reaches the actuating temperature of the second expansion capsule.

Abstract: A drive system for a rotary-, pivot- and propelling-drive of a vehicle especially for an excavating machine with a planetary gear transmission and a brake installation that includes a brake disk with brake surfaces which are arranged between brake lamellae. A support of the brake lamellae takes place by way of teeth for the planet wheels of the transmission which are already present on the inside of the housing (in a ring gear) whereby the hub of the brake disk is axially displaceably retained in already present teeth of the sun gear of the transmission.

Abstract: A sorting installation for piece goods arriving in an unsorted condition which must be continuously conveyed to associated locations in warehouses for storage and in the course thereof must be controlled, sorted, recorded and further conveyed to their ultimate destination in the warehouse, includes a main conveyor with a cross conveyor and auxiliary conveyors connected thereto in such a manner that a distributor conveyor adapted to be driven reversibly is provided at the outlet of the auxiliary conveyor and substantially perpendicular thereto; the distributor conveyor is connected at each of its ends by way of intermediate tracks with respective sorting stations, whereby a common delivery conveyor is coordinated to a number of sorting stations thus interconnected.

Abstract: A wheel cover with a wire ring, especially for passenger motor vehicles, whereby the wire ring is composed of several sections, preferably of generally circular segments, and is constructed as a prestressed bent spring. This bent spring is received by guides mounted on the wheel cover and is advantageously retained by nose-like holding members when installed in the wheel cover. After the wheel cover is mounted on the wheel rim, the bent spring attains a generally circular contour and moves away from the nose-like holding members. The wire spring can be manufactured in a very simple and cost-favorable manner and may, since it is prestressed, be provided with a soft spring characteristic. As a result thereof, the system, i.e., cover, wheel, and connecting spring ring, becomes substantially independent of diameter variations of the cover.

To ensure that sensitive built-in parts are accommodated so as to be protected and that, at the same time, the front body structure is reinforced, the invention proposes to divide the equipment space into three regions by means of longitudinal walls serving at the same time for stiffening, and to supplement the transverse wall of the central region, this transverse wall facing the engine space, with an attached half-shell, to form the hollow girder serving for guiding communicating lines such as electrical lines.

Abstract: With workpieces to be drawn, especially large-area body parts or sinks, the possibilities of tearing the walls, respectively, undulated surface structure exists within the area of the corner formation. The present invention is therefore predicated on the concept to match the support pressure to the shaping of the workpiece in the different abutment areas thereof. A number of pressure cylinders fixedly installed in the press table serve for that purpose, whose piston rods are adapted to be to displaced in the vertical direction by way of a pressure plate acting in unison on all piston rods. The piston rods acting on the other end of the support are lowerable under the ram movement against the controllable pressure differing in the pressure chambers by way of valves.
