Abstract: A fuel control device for a fuel injection system of a type having an intermittent injection type fuel injector disposed in a bore formed in the wall defining an intake passage. The device has a porous tubular element received in the bore in close contact with the fuel injector and defining therein a passage opened at its both ends. The fuel injected by the fuel injector is adhered to the inner surface of the passage defined in the porous tubular element. Air is introduced into the passage through fine air passages formed in the wall of the porous tubular element. The air introduced into the passage well atomizes the fuel into fine particles and is mixed therewith to form a homogeneous mixture.

  • Patent number: 4325634
Abstract: At least one of the entrance slit and the exit slit of a monochromator is capable of being opened or closed. The light issued from the exit slit when the slit width is changed is detected by a light detector. The slit width is calibrated when the ratio between the maximum value of the output of the light detector and the output of the light detector with the slit being gradually closed subsequently reaches a predetermined value, in other words, when a predetermined narrowness of the slit is attained. The slit width is controlled by a pulse motor or the like. The pulses supplied to the pulse motor are counted by a counter. At the time of slit width calibration, a value corresponding to the particular slit width is set in the counter, thus performing the slit width calibration.

  • Patent number: 4326248
Abstract: A multiple virtual storage control system for a data processing system for handling a plurality of virtual spaces is disclosed. Virtual addresses indicative of addresses in the virtual spaces are translated to real addresses by a translation table. When a new virtual space is established by setting a first address or segment table origin address (STO address) of the translation table, a virtual space number is assigned to the established virtual space by an STO address stack, which comprises a definite number of registers. The number of virtual space numbers assigned is larger than the number of registers. The virtual addresses and the corresponding real addresses are stored in a high-speed address translator so that the virtual addresses are translated to the real addresses at a high speed. When an overflow of the virtual space number assigned in the STO address stack takes place, the plurality of virtual spaces registered in the high-speed address translator are simultaneously purged.

  • Patent number: 4326268
Abstract: A magnetic bubble memory device according to this invention comprises a plurality of minor loops, a read-out major line is disposed at one end of the minor loops through gates having a replicating function, and a magnetic bubble detector which includes a detecting line is disposed at one end of the major line. Further, a propagation length from the other end of the read-out major line to the detecting line of the magnetic bubble detector is set at a bit length which slightly exceeds four times the number of the minor loops. For this reason, a continuous read-out operation at high speed is permitted without the influence of replicate pulses.

  • Patent number: 4326159
Abstract: Voltage, current and field voltage of a generator connected to an electric power system are sampled at a predetermined period for analog-digital conversion and then led to a digital computer. In addition to computation for AVR, the computer computes from its input the generator output power, and also monitors the occurrence of a fault, the removal of the fault and variation in the generator output in the system. After the occurrence of a fault, the field excitation of the generator is intensified until the generator output power reaches substantially a peak value, but after the peak value is substantially passed by, the excitation is conversely depressed to a value below the level which is present before the fault occurs. When the generator output power recovers the value which is present before the fault occurs, the computer returns to deliver the AVR output.
