  • Patent number: 5080047
Abstract: A steam system is disclosed having a steam boiler (14) designed to produce an adjustable supply of boiler steam and a steam accumulator (12) designed to supply all of the steam to steam load (66) as opposed to functioning as an auxiliary source to boiler (14). Steam accumulator (12) is a pressure vessel designed to function as a wet steam accumulator and sized to provide large quantities of steam in short bursts for a predetermined period of time to a sustained cyclic steam load (66) for a period of time sufficient to compensate for the time delays necessary to adjust the boiler steam produciton rate to equal changes in the average of the cyclic demand load.

  • Patent number: 5026094
Abstract: An adjustable mud flap assembly (10) which utilizes the transverse bar member (6) of a trailer hitch assembly (5) as the main support for the mud flaps. Mud flap assembly (10) has a pair of right and left L-shaped mud flap frame members (11 and 22) being removably attached to the ends of the transverse bar member (6). Each L-shaped mud flap frame generally has a rectangular mud flap (12 or 23) removably attached thereto. By varying the radial disposition of the L-shaped mud flap frame member (11 or 22) with respect to the transverse bar member (6), the position of the mud flap with respect to vehicle (1) can be changed. Additionally, utilizing the transverse bar member (6) of the hitch assembly (5) as the support base for mud flap assembly (10), necessarily requires that mud flaps (12 and 23) be positioned at the rear of vehicle (1). This disposes mud flaps (12 and 23) in the trajectory path of any projectile destined for the trailer.

A pelvic support frame 48 is disposed perpendicular to the plane of the table. A pelvic harness 42 is provided for supporting the pelvic area of patient 1 by attaching harness 42 to pelvic frame 48.A weight brace 31 is attached to the head end of planar table 11 and extends angularly upward from that end. A pulley 32 is rotatably mounted in the extended end of weight brace 31. A head harness 35 is provided which longitudinally supports the head of patient 1 and is attached by a flexible member, such as rope, to an adjustable weight. The flexible member is slidably received by pulley 32 which converts the downward weight force to a longitudianl tensive traction force. An elongated rectangular vibrating pad 14 is privotally mounted within planar table 11 and has a vibrator motor 29 attached thereto.
