  • Patent number: 6125569
Abstract: A portable tool for mounting annular elastic bands to multiple strands of a skirted fishing lure accessory. A band support provides a barrel having an outer surface that flares outward as it extends from an apex. A retractor rod having a "J" shaped end is concentrically supported from the apex in a longitudinal bore of the barrel and extends aft of the barrel. Upon fitting a band onto the barrel, the rod can be extended and such that the hooked end can catch a border of one or more skirt blanks. With the withdrawal of the rod and blank into the barrel, the band can be manipulated onto the strands of the skirt blank. The borders can then be trimmed from the skirt.

  • Patent number: 6125955
Abstract: An improved magnetic wheel for a vehicle that moves over ferromagnetic surfaces. The vehicle includes an articulating, remotely controlled chassis that is constructed around a variable frequency motor. Drive axles extend from spring biased torsion hubs and are supported at resilient bushings at each wheel. Each wheel includes a number of adjoining annular permanent magnet pole sets. Permanent magnet disks are arrayed around the circumference of each pole set. At least one pole set is secured to a wheel hub and the others are supported from resiliently mounted registration pins. The resiliently mounted pole sets are able to flex with encountered irregularities at the work surface as the axle tracks and independently flexes with the surface changes.

  • Patent number: 6127906
Abstract: A modular thin film, distributed, lumped element band-pass filter. The filter circuitry is configured on a number of ceramic substrates. The component defining depositions are arranged to overlap and couple to one another with connecting vias. Alternative 800 MHz and 1.9 GHz band-pass filter circuits are disclosed. Bordering ground conductors and covering ground planes shield lumped impedance resonator and overlapping capacitor elements. The layers are configured to accommodate a range of frequencies and permit pre-fabrication with subsequent laser trimming, assembly and packaging.

  • Patent number: 6123225
Abstract: A liquid pourer for pouring liquid from a bottle, most likely liquor, has a new sealing cork enabling much easier insertion and extraction of the pourer into and out of a bottle, a new cork and collar combination enabling similar easier insertion and extraction, and a new dump cap for portion control pouring wherein a new assembly and sealing method and structure is provided, and numerous new improvements making the pourer provide higher quality pouring.

  • Patent number: 6097424
Abstract: A modular submersible video viewing system. The system includes a viewing monitor, multi-conductor cable and camera that store at a portable housing and deploy for underwater viewing. The camera can be submersed for stationary viewing, towed from a watercraft or manipulated with an operator pole. The camera can be secured with clips or bottom support plates in various orientations or be secured to a swivel coupler and steering guide and/or pole. A rudder, ballast weight (with or without a keel), lens' sunshield, lights and/or lenses and filters are optionally mountable to the camera. In one portable assembly, a cable spool mounts to a carry case that stores the system components. In another portable assembly, the viewing monitor, battery and attendant control circuitry are mounted in a monitor housing having an integral sunshield. A handle and a pair of cable wrap arms contain the cable. A recess at the monitor housing supports the camera.

  • Patent number: 6082038
Abstract: Multi-hued fishing lure dressings molded from a colored mixture that contains a contrasting, granular, partially dissolving color pigment. In one silicone rubber dressing, a multi-stranded skirt includes randomly suspended granules that exhibit blotches or speckles having indistinct edges. In another dressing, a silicone rubber trailer is disclosed that exhibits the general shape of a frog. One or more cavities support plug-in attachments, such as rattles or extension pieces that separately support other dressings. A pair of ribbed panels that imitate legs extend from the trailer and undulate with lure motion. The aesthetic effect is to create a multi-hued coloration at the dressing that imitates the coloration of many prey species.

  • Patent number: 6067925
Abstract: A pontoon boat having a support framework that includes a number of telescoping cross members that laterally extend and retract to vary the width of the craft. Included tires rotate into and out of ground contact to permit towing without the need for a separate trailer. A motor or hand crank controls a longitudinal lead screw mounted to a reciprocating trailer tongue. Lateral control arms pivot with motion of the tongue member and laterally displace longitudinal side rails and flotation pontoons. A deck and handrails are raised and lowered as the framework reciprocates between travel and flotation positions. One of the sets of telescoping cross members separately rotates the tire support assemblies. A deck control assembly controls the alignment and separation of the deck at a longitudinal seam.

  • Patent number: 6068233
Abstract: A multi-section support post for a reflective, roadway delineator that collapses upon impact at a replaceable joint. A ground stake and a sign stake are joined together with hardwood blocks that are separated with a material having a large coefficient of friction. The blocks are secured with a pivot bolt to recessed channels at the stakes. An intervening layer of tarpaper is compressed between the blocks. The sign stake collapses at the joint upon impact, such as from a snowplow. A reflective roadway delineator rotates about a pivot bolt or axle that projects from the sign stake.

  • Patent number: 6054920
Abstract: A wireless sensor receiver module for an alarm and/or event reporting system having the capability of monitoring the operational integrity of associated wireless receiver circuitry relative to RF sensor transmissions. A receiver module supervisory timer is reset with the receipt of each sensor transmission, whether an event or supervisory transmission. If sensor transmissions are not received within a supervised receiver time period determined as a function of the number of system sensors, the receiver module communicates a receiver failure condition to the system controller. Noise monitoring circuitry separately monitors the transmissions to enhance the confidence in a receiver failure determination or adjust the period of the receiver module supervisory timer.

  • Patent number: 6050726
Abstract: A plastic bag constructed to include an integral glove or mitten. The glove extends from a bag surface that facilitates the fitting of the glove to the hand, yet permits objects to be gripped and deposited or withdrawn from a container portion of the bag. A closure fastener seals the bag to contain the collected materials and the soiled surface of the glove inside the bag. In various constructions, the glove extends from the bottom of the bag or a tapered surface that lies above the bottom. A hand can be fitted into the glove from the exterior or interior and is positioned to facilitate collection and access to an open mouth. Bags including a drawstring closure, interlocking seals and one or more rigid scraper edges are disclosed.
