  • Patent number: 7358089
Abstract: A process for production of a substrate for attachment of cells at certain positions and a substrate for attachment of cells. A support structure comprising a hydrophobic resin base material and a hydrophilic polymer layer formed on the hydrophobic resin base material. Areas of the hydrophilic polymer layer and a chemical reaction product present on a boundary surface between the hydrophilic polymer layer and the hydrophobic resin base material are removed, so as to expose areas of the hydrophobic resin base material at which cells will attach, by irradiating the support structure with UV radiation emitted from a light source via a pattern mask. The exposed areas are depressions with a controlled shape matched to the mask pattern, each of the depressions having a bottom surface which is formed by exposure of the hydrophobic resin base material.

  • Patent number: 7354319
Abstract: An electrical terminal includes an insulating housing, a conductor bar, strain-relief clamp connections and actuating elements located in the insulating housing for opening and closing the strain-relief clamp connections. The electrical terminal enables simple manual opening of the clamping site even when the strain-relief clamp connection is designed for leads with large cross section since the actuation element is made as an actuating cam that is eccentrically supported in the insulating housing. The actuating cam can be pivoted by an actuating tool out of a first position in which the strain-relief clamp connection is closed into a second position in which the strain-relief clamp connection is opened so that an electric lead can be inserted between the conductor bar and a through opening in the strain relief clamp connection.

  • Patent number: 7338552
Abstract: A process and device for separating oil and volatile organic components from pressurized gases of a compression system in which, before oxidation-catalytic separation, a physical separation is performed to protect the oxidation-catalytic separator against a large amount of oil being entrained in a surge in the pressurized gases. The resulting oil which has been separated in this physical oil separation is then fed back into the pressurized gas flow which is flowing to oxidation-catalytic separation in metered amounts. This results in the oil concentration in the pressurized gas entering the oxidation-catalytic separation means being maintained such that oxidation-catalytic separation can be carried out effectively and under optimum operating conditions without there being an adverse effect on operation by oil concentrations which are suddenly high for an instant.
