  • Patent number: 8281844
Abstract: The disclosed door and method for manufacturing the same allows a door manufacturer to more easily fabricate custom sectional overhead doors. The disclosed door and method for manufacturing the same eliminates the expense of having a skilled craftsman hand mill and fit each trim hoard. The disclosed door and method for manufacturing the same enables fabricating infinite designs and infinite sizes without the constraint of being limited to preset, expensive platens/dies for fabrication. The disclosed door and method for manufacturing the same provides for routing typical depth panels into a door without having to penetrate various layers of the door. The disclosed door and method for manufacturing the same provides a solid core of insulation which is not subject to routing which decreases thermal resistively of the door.

  • Patent number: 8256490
Abstract: A stacking panel covering for an architectural opening includes a headrail and a plurality of suspended from the headrail. The panels form an overlapped stack at one end of the headrail when the stacking panel covering is opened, and cover the architectural opening when the stacking panel covering is closed. The panels are piggybacked on those adjacent thereto, so that they stack, one behind the next, when the stacking panel covering is opened, and so that each pulls the next adjacent thereto as the stacking panel covering is being closed. The panels themselves may be planar, or convexly curved in a horizontal direction and substantially straight in a vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 8240308
Abstract: The present invention relates to a respiration valve (401) for performing respiration tests on e.g. humans, consisting of at least three ports, a first mouth port (402) and two breathing ports (403, 404). The breathing ports (403, 404) comprise pneumatic pinch valves consisting of a channel (101) with a flexible wall (201) to be used for the flow of material and molded as an integrated part of a surrounding chamber (102). The flexible wall (201) comprises two opposing angularly interconnected wall segments (202) which are angularly connected at interconnection points (203) and which flexible wall (201) is pinched by a pressure from fluid, such as air, introduced into the chamber (102). The cross sectional shape corresponds in one embodiment approximately to a elongated hexagon. The construction of the respiration valve (401) comprising these pneumatic pinch is valves enables a very small, light, hygienic, and safe yet inexpensive construction with a long life expectancy.
