  • Patent number: 8005356
Abstract: It is an objective to provide a video transmission system enabling easy acquisition and addition of any video signal. According to the ring network, optical wavelength multiplexing and transmission of video signal to be utilized for this network is carried out, so that it is possible to implement an environment, in which all necessary video signals flow on the network. Consequently, by acquiring any video signal from the video signals flowing on the network, it is possible to acquire new video source, or by adding new video source to the network, it is possible to utilize the added video source by all apparatuses connected to the network.

  • Patent number: 8004696
Abstract: In a printing apparatus, the number of delimiters included in received data from a host apparatus is smaller than the number of input items of a template by one. Therefore, the number of delimiters included in the received data from the host apparatus is calculated to be three. A character string which is periodically repeated in the received data three times as the number of the delimiters is obtained and set to be a delimiter candidate. Further, a print start character string candidate is obtained from a data group which is located after a last delimiter candidate in the received data. Using the provisionally determined candidates for a delimiter and a print start character string, the four item data included in the received data are assumed. Then, a print preview is displayed on a LCD so as to show a state where the four item data is input to each of the input items of the template.

  • Patent number: 8004711
Abstract: When a user selects a printing format for use in producing a label and specifies block names of blocks constituting a printing format in an arbitrary order through a n th-block specifying screen (first block specifying screen, second block specifying screen, . . .), edit sequence table sets a new edit sequence number based on a specifying order of block names. Then, the new edit sequence number is written over current edit sequence number in each block (edit sequence table) and arrangement of each block is updated based on the edit sequence number 401 after overwritten (edit sequence table).

  • Patent number: 7997892
Abstract: This invention is related to a moulding device (90; 92; 95; 98; 100; 110) arranged to be positioned inside a tubular member (17). The moulding device (90; 92; 95; 98; 100; 110) comprises a second closing part (1), a shaft (6) loosely connected to the second closing part (1) and able to glide snugly through an opening in a first closing part (7, 8). When inserted into the tubular member (17), the moulding device (90; 92; 95; 98; 100; 110) defines a chamber together with the inner surfaces of thereof. To form a cast, this chamber is filled with moulding material which thereafter cures. To remove the cast and the moulding device (90; 92; 95; 98; 100; 110) from the tubular member, a drawing force is applied to the first closing part (7, 8), which provides a pulling out of the rest of the moulding device (90; 92; 95; 98; 100; 110) and the cast.

  • Patent number: 7994652
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of increasing the output of a wind turbine, wherein one or more flow surfaces are placed at a wind turbine. At lower wind speeds, the flow surfaces are set to guide the wind up towards and/or out from the rotor of the wind turbine and hence use the venturi effect in the rotor to advantage. At higher wind speeds, the flow surfaces are completely or partially taken out of the flow of the wind. Moreover, the flow surfaces can be adjusted around the wind turbine based on measurements of the speed of the wind and direction of the wind and/or the power signal of the wind turbine. The invention further relates to a system comprising one or more flow surfaces and means for adjusting same to the effect that the output of a wind turbine can be maximized by using the venturi effect to advantage as described above.

  • Patent number: 7988124
Abstract: Provided is a needle valve in which a gap between a valve casing and a needle is reliably sealed and an origin of the needle can be readily obtained with high precision. A needle (6) is screwed into a cylindrical rotor (44) of a stepping motor (7) so as to be retractable, and a rotation regulating member (47) prevents the needle (6) from rotating together with the rotor (44). Accordingly, in a case of driving the motor (7) to rotate the rotor (44), the needle (6) vertically moves without rotating. A lower limit sensor (61) and an upper limit sensor (60) detects a detection target piece (49) provided to the rotation regulating member (47), so a lower limit position and an upper limit position of the needle (6) are obtained. The motor (7) is controlled such that, after the motor (7) is driven until the lower limit sensor (61) detects the detection target piece (49), an origin sensor (71) monitors an origin detection plate (62) so as to stop at a predetermined rotation stop position.

  • Patent number: 7979251
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of generating building instructions for a building element model, the model including a plurality of building elements, the building instructions being indicative of a sequential order of construction steps for constructing the building element model, each construction step including adding at least one building element to the building element model. The method comprises determining, from a digital representation of the building element model, a sequential order of deconstruction steps for deconstructing the building element model into building elements, each deconstruction step including removing at least one building element from the building element model; and inverting the determined sequential order of deconstruction steps to obtain the sequential order of construction steps.

  • Patent number: 7965978
Abstract: A transmitting/receiving method that can easily detect an influence exerted in transmission channels at a transmitter/receiver is provided. An acquiring unit 12 acquires left audio data and right audio data of audio data received by a metadata calculator 1. An adding unit 141 then calculates added data based on an added value for a predetermined time of a sum of the acquired left audio data and right audio data. Similarly, a subtracting unit 142 calculates subtracted data based on an added value for predetermined time of a difference between the acquired right audio data and left audio data. An addition unit 17 adds the added data and the subtracted data calculated by these adding unit 141 and subtracting unit 142 to the received audio data, and a transmission unit 18 transmits the audio data to which the added data and the subtracted data are added.

  • Patent number: 7963007
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a high burst slider zipper which allows for bottom filling of reclosable packages, such as large bags, and further provides increased resistance to damage from the dropping or shock loading of the filled package. This is achieved by providing a peel seal or other frangible or separable connection between the zipper profiles, and by sealing a portion of one of the flanges to itself by a hard seal above the peel seal. This causes the external forces on a bag from bottom filling or shock loading to be directed toward the hard seal and further directed so as to cause a shear force against the peel seal, thereby increasing the resistance of the package to external forces.
