Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions for regulating unitary smooth muscle polarization containing aqueous solutions based on magnesium, potassium, sodium and optionally calcium salts, at least one sugar and at least one amino acid, combined with a copper salt or a zinc salt. The invention further relates to a kit containing at least two of these pharmaceutical compositions.
Abstract: An apparatus for breaking the anode butt (15) and stripping the thimbles (13) from the yoke stubs (12) of an anode. The apparatus includes a support frame (20), a fixed plate assembly (21) secured to the supporting frame (20) and a ram assembly (22) extendible towards the fixed plate assembly (21). The fixed plate assembly (21) comprises a substantially rigid fixed plate (23) having recesses (24a) to receive the yoke (11) and yoke stubs (12). The recesses (24a) are shaped such that the thimbles (13) on the yoke stubs (12) of the anode butt (15) abut against the fixed plate assembly (21) during the extension of the ram assembly (22) to contact and break the anode butt. The fixed plate assembly (21) may be provided with a stub locating mechanism which locates the stubs in position and abuts against the thimbles (13) on the stubs (12) during the extension of the ram assembly (22). The stub locating mechanism also abuts against and is supported by the substantially rigid fixed plate (23).

Abstract: First and second electrically insulating substrates are joined with each other at respective joining faces thereof. Each of the first and second insulating substrates has an annular groove at the joining face, and a plurality of through holes along outer and inner peripheries of the annular groove. An annular core is mounted in the annular groove. A cylindrical connection is formed in each through hole, and a radial connection is formed on an outer surface of each insulating substrate so as to connect opposite cylindrical connections. A toroidal coil is formed by serially connecting cylindrical connections and radial connections. An IC chip is mounted on the outer surface of the first insulating substrate, and connected to the toroidal coil and electronic part. The toroidal coil and the electronic part are coated with an electrically insulating material.
Abstract: A support system for a shelf including a bracket for mounting to a stud wall wherein a first leg of the bracket engages against the inner face of the near wall panel and a second leg, rigid with the first leg, projects forwardly beyond the forward face of the wall panel. The projecting leg receives an elongate rigid lock rod therethrough with the rod extending across the thickness of the stud wall and engaging the far wall panel. The shelf includes a bore extending inward from the rear edge thereof which receives and conceals the projecting bracket leg.
Abstract: The invention concerns novel uses of an Eriobotrya japonica extract, in particular in cosmetics or pharmaceutics. This extract permits stimulation of glycosaminoglycan synthesis, in particular of hyaluronic acid, thus imparting to the cosmetic compositions containing this extract the properties of improving the firmness and suppleness of the skin, combating the formation of wrinkles or lessening the depth thereof, smoothing the surface of the skin by means of a tightening effect, or moisturizing the skin. The invention further concerns the use of these extracts for stimulating the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans from a cell culture medium, in particular fibroblasts or keratinocytes.
Abstract: In a push button switch, a movable contact plate has an upwardly arcuated movable contact, a pair of side plates at both sides of the movable contact, each side plate has a plurality of downwardly projected permanent contacts, and each of the permanent contacts has a most lower point, a fixed contact plate comprises a pair of first fixed contacts contacted with the most lower points of the permanent contacts, and a second fixed contact disposed between the first fixed contacts, so as to be contacted with the movable contact.
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a chemical agent of organic origin for reducing or eliminating changes in waistline or for reducing or eliminating constipation due to the taking of other agents. A preferred agent is a polyvinylpyrrolidone or povidone. By virtue of the invention, changes in waistline are reduced or eliminated during the day, as well as constipation which can be generated by the taking of other agents such as clays.
Abstract: A power screwdriver has a tool body, a motor, a drive member rotatably driven by the motor, a spindle rotatably mounted on the tool body and a clutch mechanism provided between the drive member and the spindle. The clutch mechanism includes an engaging clutch and a synchronizer device. The synchronizer device is operable to rotate the spindle at a predetermined speed that is substantially equal to or less than the rotational speed of the drive member, prior to connection of the engaging clutch.
Abstract: A container for nuclear fuel assemblies comprises a thick cylindrical body of forged steel which delimits an inner cavity for housing said assemblies, said cavity being able to be hermetically sealed at its two ends by plugs which are also formed of metal, characterized in that the cross section of the cylindrical body is non-circular. The outer wall usually comprising flat surfaces which are parallel to the flat face of crescent-shaped sections fixed to its inner wall, providing the cross section with the shape of a square or rectangle with rounded corners.
Abstract: A component retaining leg is disclosed, which comprises a base to be provided on a component such as a clamp and a clip, a pillar depending from the base, and a flexible retaining piece extending from the free end of the pillar in a folded fashion toward the base. The free end of the retaining piece has an engagement step section for engaging a mounting hole of a panel. The engagement step section has a plurality of engagement steps formed at a predetermined interval.
Abstract: A process for manufacturing an electronic interconnect structure, the process including the steps of depositing an adhesion metal layer over a dielectric material surface having at least one exposed aluminum surface; depositing a barrier metal layer over the adhesion metal layer; depositing a first layer of aluminum over the barrier metal layer; depositing an intermediate barrier metal layer over the first layer of aluminum; applying a photoresist layer on top of the intermediate barrier metal layer; exposing and developing the photoresist layer; removing the exposed barrier metal and photoresist layer, leaving a layer of barrier metal over the aluminum layer; converting those portions of the layer of aluminum which are not covered by barrier metal to a porous aluminum oxide by porous anodization; removing the porous aluminum oxide; and removing the exposed barrier metal and adhesion metal layers to leave exposed patterned aluminum, and an electronic interconnect structure manufactured by this method.

Abstract: A method for transportation and storage of a natural gas-containing product from a production site for the product. The product is separated into an oil phase and a gas phase and the gas phase is converted to a gas hydrate from which residual water is separated. The oil phase is then dehydrated and mixed with the gas hydrate to form a slurry which is stable through storage and transport.
Abstract: Highly concentrated waste water is subjected to a partially aerobic method in the reaction chamber of a vertical reactor (1). Aeration of the waste water is performed by regulating the redox potential. To this end, means (14) for measuring the pH value, on the one hand, and means (15) for measuring the redox potential value of the treated waste water, on the other hand, are arranged in a bypass line. The process computer acts via a regulator (31) on a regulating member (19) which regulates the supplied amount of air, and regulates the redox potential value according to the measured pH values in accordance with a predetermined relationship stored in a memory device (33). By means of regulating the redox potential by guiding the pH value, an essentially constant high rate of decomposition of 90% COD is achieved.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for compacting and then welding electric conductors, especially for making through or terminal connections of flexes by means of ultrasound in a compression chamber adapted to the conductor and adjustable for height and width, in which the conductors to be welded are first compacted and then welded. The compression chamber is adjustable to a predetermined height-width ratio regardless of the cross section of the conductors to be welded.

Abstract: A device for fining bubbles of gas contained in liquid includes at least two flow channel members confronting each other to form a flow channel therebetween. An inlet and an outlet are provided on one side and the other side of the flow channel members. A recess surface including a first recess and a second recess is formed on at least one of confronting surfaces of the flow channel members. The first recess and the second recess extend from the inlet to the outlet, respectively, and intersect each other at plural positions where the flow of the liquid premixed with gas in the first recess collides with that in the second recess.
