Abstract: A locking device for doors, intended for connection between the dead-bolt of the door and the drive means of the lock including a hinged arm which is connected to the dead-bolt or its extension, a wheel or pin being arranged at the other end of the hinged arm and designed to tumble into a recess formed in a pivotable cam-disc, or to be disengaged from this recess by means of a link mechanism, whereupon in the latter position, the cam-disc is arranged to block the dead-bolt in the first position and upon tumbling into the recess to release it, the dead-bolt has an inclined surface designed so that upon pressure against the door, the bevelled surface assists in opening of the door.
Abstract: An automobile window molding including a molding body to be installed in a clearance between a peripheral edge of a windshield and a peripheral wall of a window frame, and a seal lip which protrudes from the outside of the molding body and which elastically transforms to a curved shape in such a manner that a tip portion thereof contacts the peripheral wall of the window frame, the seal lip decreasing in thickness from a base portion to a middle portion thereof and having an elastically transformable portion of thin thickness formed between the base portion and the middle portion and increasing in thickness from the elastically transformable portion to the tip portion, the tip portion being formed in thick section.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing and stacking sheets cut from a web of material, in which by longitudinal cutting, at least two web sections 7a, 7b of predetermined width are cut from the web of material 7, by transverse cutting, a predetermined number of sheets of material of desired length are cut from each of the web sections 7a, 7b, and the cut sheets are delivered to stackers which stack the cut sheets according to the different cut formats.
Abstract: A connecting assembly for connecting a vertical louvre to a support and including a first component disposed within the support and a second component having a connection formation from which a louvre may be suspended. Each of the first and second components are releasably interconnected, such that the second component is retained in connection with the first component for use, and such that the second component is separable from the first component, and replaceable with a substitute component while the first component is mounted in the support member.
Abstract: In a process for manufacturing corrugated cardboard, corrugated cardboard is produced by gluing several individual webs (10, 11, 31) to each other by their mutually opposite surfaces. Several individual webs (10, 11, 31) are conveyed to an assembly point (A) and then moved over a heating device (38). The distance between the glue application points (B, C) and the assembly point (A) of the individual webs (10, 11) varies according to the speed of the webs.

Abstract: A waste treatment furnace includes a first waste treatment chamber with a first burner chamber communicating therewith, and a second waste treatment chamber with a second burner chamber communicating therewith. A common bottom wall is positioned under the first and second waste treatment chambers which is inclined downwardly from the first chamber to the second chamber to facilitate transfer of waste. Each burner chamber includes a burner and a plurality of protuberances disposed across its inner surface. The protuberances effectively reflect heat from the first and second burners so that the heater air in the first and second burner chambers is homogenized.
Abstract: A lid integrally hinged to a carton rear wall and including an outwardly extending tongue on the forward edge thereof which, upon a closing of the lid over the carton mouth, forwardly flexes the forward carton wall. The forward carton wall has an integral locking flange along the upper edge thereof which rearwardly pivots to overlie the forward portion of the lid and which defines a keeper opening within the front wall to receive the lid tongue.
Abstract: The invention relates to a measuring process, the purpose of which is to increase the measuring accuracy of pulse oxymeters and comparable optical devices which are used in vivo to ascertain oxygen saturation of arterial blood. The measuring process according to the invention is provided for the purpose of ascertaining oxygenation of arterial blood in tissue by evaluating the differential light attenuation at several wavelengths. It is characterized by the fact that light attentuation of at least one wavelength is determined in order to choose those calibration curves of several variables (.OMEGA.1, .OMEGA.2. . . .) produced by different wavelength pairings with a minimized error in order to generate an output signal for the arterial blood oxygenation.
Abstract: Apparatus for feeding a web of material, in particular a web of cardboard, having at least one driven element which engages one surface of the web of material to be fed, and which cooperates with at least one bearing element acting upon the other surface of the web of material, a contact-pressure force for generating a frictional force exerted on the web of material, at least one bearing element or the at least one driven element is acted upon by a contact-pressure device, a sensor for detecting the feeding speed of the web of material which delivers to a control unit which operates to control the feeding speed signal of the contact-pressure device so that the difference between the detected web speed and a set-point speed signal applied to the control unit is essentially equal to zero.
Abstract: The invention concerns an underground storage facility for the initial storage of waste transported in containers (34, 36), in particular radioactive waste such as spent fuel elements. The store has transport galleries (10) giving access to storage galleries (12) for storage of the waste. In order to ensure, among other things, safe storage and ease of introduction and transfer of the waste, the invention proposes that the storage gallery (12) runs underneath the transport gallery (10) and is separated from it by a floor (14), designed for the transport of the waste, with closable openings (18) for the introduction and removal of the waste.
Abstract: The process for heating a moving web, in particular a corrugated board web, in addition to a supply of heat to the one outer side of the moving web, also provides supply of heat to the other outer side of the web (5). A preheater (1) with a first heating face (3), which is associated with a movable deflection roll, is connected to a second heating face (13) connected to the deflection roll (10). With its other outer side, the web (5) is guided via this second heating face.

Abstract: An assembly of a windshield glass and a weather strip having a partly modified cross section is provided. As the weather strip is extruded along the peripheral edge of the windshield glass and fixedly adhered thereto, a movable die 132 of a die assembly is properly moved so as to change the shape of an orifice of the die assembly.
Abstract: A clamshell carton wherein the tray includes a partition panel integral with the upper edge of the front wall and folded to overlie the interior of the front wall and a major portion of the bottom panel. The partition panel including a partition section selectively upwardly foldable at an intermediate and preferably central portion of the tray to define two food-receiving compartments therein.
Abstract: An assembly for holding a camera comprising a first section including two flat portions, a sleeve portion from which the flat portions extend so as to enable movement of the sleeve portion, a first and a second pair of tubes extending perpendicularly from an end of each flat portion, a platform slidable supported by the first pair of tubes, a double clamp slidable supported by the second pair of tubes, a second section including a substantially flat upright, a first pair of tubes extending perpendicularly from a lower end of the upright, a double clamp separating the ends of the first pair of tubes, a second pair of tubes extending perpendicularly from the double clamp, the first section being connected with the second section so as to enable relative rotation between the sections.
