Abstract: A putter comprises a shaft comprising an upper longitudinal groove; a T-shaped grip comprising a bar including a cavity with a first bearing fitted therein, an opposite, threaded projecting cylinder, and a longitudinal channel matingly engaged with the groove; an abutment assembly adapted to urge against a golfer's body and comprising a cylindrical projection having a peg fastened in the cavity; a sleeve including a recess and a nut; and a second bearing fitted in the recess wherein the cylinder passes the second bearing and the sleeve to theradedly secure to the nut; and a bifurcated head pivotably coupled to the shaft for permitting an angle adjustment therebetween. The invention enables even a novice to easily put the ball into the hole while playing since the hit ball tends to roll in a direction as expected.
Abstract: The invention relates to a structured mixed phase formed by the incorporation of a biological macromolecule into a liquid-crystal phase of amphiphiles, preferably a lamellar phase, wherein said biological macromolecule is present in said structured mixed phase in an amount of at least 5% by weight, based on the amphiphilic compounds constituting said liquid-crystal phase of amphiphiles, and wherein at least one of the two entities consisting of the biological macromolecules, on the one hand, and all the amphiphilic compounds, on the other, is of an uncharged nature. The biological macromolecules incorporated into the structured mixed phases of the invention are preferably selected from polynucleotides, particularly DNA or RNA, proteins and polysaccharides. The invention further relates to vesicles obtained by dispersion of the above structured mixed phases.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing custom fit therapeutic footwear such as shoes and inserts includes the step of measuring a patient's foot and forming an imprint of a patient's foot to identify the patient's footprint and any high pressure areas on the bottom of the foot. The method also includes the step of making a mold of a lower portion of the patient's foot and subsequently making a plaster cast of the lower portion of the patient's foot. A multidensity sheet of insert material is provided and formed into a shape that corresponds to the lower portion of a patient's foot as for example by vacuum forming. The method also includes the step of providing a second insert material that is softer than the first insert material. The imprint of the patient's foot is then used to position any needed accommodations. The area to be accommodated is then punched out through the entire thickness of the insert and filled with a sheet of softer insert material.
Abstract: The object of the invention is a rolled, forged or extruded aluminum alloy product more than 12 mm thick, heat treated by solutionizing, quenching and artificial aging, with a microstructure characterized by the following parameters: the fraction of recrystallized grains measured between one-quarter thickness and mid-thickness of the final wrought product is smaller than 35% by volume; the characteristic intercept distance between recrystallized areas is greater than 250 ?m, preferably greater than 300 ?m and most preferably greater than 350 ?m.
Abstract: The present invention provides a fuel feeding apparatus and method for improving the controllability of mixing process and mixing ratio of fuel and combustion air, and a combustion system and method for effecting new combustion properties. The fuel feeding apparatus of the combustion system has fuel feeding means, combustion gas extraction means, steam supply means, mixing means and fuel gas introduction means. The combustion gas extraction means extracts combustion gas of a combustion area therefrom. The mixing means mixes the fuel of fuel feeding means with at least one of combustion gas extracted from the furnace and steam of a steam generator. The fuel gas introduction means introduces a mixed fluid of combustion gas, steam and fuel to the combustion area as a fuel gas, and allows the fuel gas to be mixed with the combustion air.
Abstract: Disclosed is a filter screen and the apparatus for aiding vehicle fuel combustion and purifying exhaust gas using said filter screen which has a metallic screen body treated in a treatment tank containing a discharge electrode plate and a receiving electrode plate both formed of mineral plate so as to have a memorized wave of wave length ranging 5 ?m˜20 ?m. When placed in various environments, the filter screen is able to negatively ionize the ions in the air passing therethrough by releasing an energy wave motion so as to recover the air into its original pure state thereby improving the quality of the air and enhance the human health.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of determining at least one energy property of a gaseous mixture which consists in: 1. measuring, on said gaseous mixture, n physical properties ?i at a temperature T and/or one physical property ?i at n different temperatures; 2. determining, from said physical properties, the composition of a gas with n+1 components that is equivalent to said mixture; and 3. deducing the energy properties of said gaseous mixture from said composition of the equivalent gas.

Abstract: A revolving billboard with LED holders has an outdoor frame, an LED frame and a vertical louvered blind. The LED frame is mounted inside the upper recess, and the vertical louvered blind is located in front of the LED holders inside the upper recess. The revolving billboard provides a clear image by the LED frame at night and also provides a good image due to the vertical louvered blind during the day.
Abstract: A battery charger having fixed ends for winding and releasing wires includes a box; an immovable axis provided at an inner wall of the box; a large turning wheel having a larger diameter and a small turning wheel having a smaller diameter disposed next to the large turning wheel, wherein the large and small turning wheels have a same center orifice flexibly connected into the immovable axis; and a wire having one end thereof penetrated through a through hole provided at the inner wall and further connected to the circuit board and winded in the large and small wire storage grooves. A wire is efficiently collected in the box, and thus making the wire of the battery charger spaceless for ready storage.

Abstract: An actuator includes a coil and an IC attached to a core. The coil produces a magnetic field and the core provides a path for the magnetic field. A rotor is rotatably mounted within the core, so that the rotor rotates in response to the magnetic field produced by the coil. The IC is electrically connected to the coil. The distance between the IC and the coil is determined based on a permissible temperature of the IC, so that the IC is not heated substantially in excess of the permissible temperature.

Abstract: A fuel pump prevents pressurized fuel from being pulled into a clearance between an outer circumference face of an impeller and an inner circumference face of a pump case, thereby allowing the delivery of the pressurized fuel from a pump body side to a pump cover side through through-holes of the impeller. Since a clearance C2 between an impeller outer circumference face 16p and a pump cover inner circumference face 39c is made extremely small, the pressurized fuel is caused to pass via through-holes 16c that communicate between an upper and an lower side of an impeller 16. By this means, it is difficult for the pressurized fuel to enter the clearance C2, and it is possible to prevent the decrease in pump efficiency caused by pressure at the impeller outer circumference face 16p and the vicinity thereof.
