Abstract: Disclosed is a screw with an improved head, in which a stress-relieving notch is formed at each corner of a driving recess on the screw head. The stress-relieving notch is in an equal arcuate shape. Apart from the well known slotted or Phillips one, the driving recess is also available with a triangle, square, hexagonal, or any other multiangular form in section.
Abstract: A continuously and combiningly operable breadth expansion and vibration enhanced spray dyeing machine, which can provide dyeing and other processing operations on a fabric in a continuous way. The dye and treating agents are spraying onto the fabric. By a high speed air flow, the fabric can have a violent vibration to speed up the processing effect. Therefore, the fabric can be processed with small amount continuous dyeing and other processing operations in a short period of time.
Abstract: A backflow proof structure for a syringe comprising a central cylinder portion and two blocks positioned in a protruding end of the syringe, on the bottom of the cylinder portion is a flared portion and on the top thereof is a tip, the outer space of the tip is filled with a piece of crystallized syrup to separate a crown cap covering the top of the tip from the cylinder portion; when the cylinder portion is placed in the protruding end, and a silicone cube is placed there-beneath, an irregular-shaped stopper is placed to closely contact the bottom of the protruding end to push the crown cap on the top of the cylinder portion out of the protruding end.

Abstract: A driving mechanism is located below a transparent hollow casing of a liquid-containing ornament and includes a coupling member that engages with and rotates along with a rotary shaft of a movement of a music box located below the mechanism, stationary magnets that have a fixed polarity and are fixedly mounted at two ends of the coupling member, and rotary magnets that are rotatably mounted on the coupling member in the vicinity of the stationary magnets to freely change their polarities while rotating. The stationary and the rotary magnets alternately magnetically attract and repulse a plurality of magnet-attached floating ornamental items in the casing, causing the ornamental items to move just like something real.
Abstract: A portable mosquito repelling/killing device, it has a box convenient for carrying; a power source provided by dry batteries or provided by inserting the plug seat on the box in an A.C. current socket. The box of the device is combined with a clamping member in order that the device can be hung on a person. Abstract: Rear leg-supported foldable chair including a front leg, a rear leg, a seat and a linking mechanism. The rear leg is pivotally connected with rear end of the seat. A connecting plate is disposed at top end of the rear leg for pivotally connecting with the front leg. Two fixing bent plates respectively extend from lower edges of two lateral fulcrums of the front leg. Each of the fixing bent plates via a linking rod is connected with the other. The linking rod via a movable plate is pivotally connected with the rear end of the seat to form the linking mechanism. When the chair is unfolded, the fulcrums of the rear leg and the linking mechanism directly welded on the front leg will distributively bear the weight loaded on the seat. The front leg and rear leg are firmly connected with each other so that the foldable chair is more rigid and durable.

Abstract: A pretreatment system and a pretreatment method for recycling exhaust water, for purifying exhaust water to a water quality acceptable to ordinary water-purification equipment, has advantages of small space occupation, low energy consumption, and lower cost. By providing a mixing piping with coarse interior, a series of closed micro continuous stirred tank reactors can be established inside the pipe to form plenty of turbulent regions for thoroughly mixing the chemical and the exhaust water. Flocculent gels that carry pollutants and particles of the exhaust water then can be removed by a filtering unit, for purifying the exhaust water. Also, by providing a modified silt density index, the pollution of a sample water can be clearly scaled and monitored.

Abstract: A soft-shelled crystal ball having an improved baffle is provided. The baffle is positioned in a soft shell of the crystal ball for forming a reduced neck portion of the crystal ball. The baffle is provided with a downward projected filling port, an upper part of which defines a stepped inner hole sealed with a first stepped plug and a lower part of which is a tube portion sealed with a second plug. The baffle is also provided along a lower outer periphery with a plurality of stubs. The soft shell extended downward from the neck portion is tightened around the tube portion of the filling port and is supported by the stubs to provide a lower space below the baffle. The soft shell extended beyond the tube portion is tightened again to ensure that the crystal ball is absolutely leakproof. The space below the baffle is communicable with the crystal ball through holes provided on the baffle.

Abstract: A traffic speed control and surveillance system includes a speed sensor, vehicle identifier and transmitter/receiver disposed in a motor vehicle. The system also includes a plurality of mini remote terminal units disposed along a highway for monitoring signals from passing motor vehicles. Those signals identify the vehicle and speeds of those vehicles. The system also includes a communication center and one or more master remote terminal units for linking the mini remote terminal units to the communication center which processes the information. The communication center may also transmit a signal to disable the engine of an offending vehicle.
Abstract: A disk on module includes a flash memory array, an IDE interface connector compatible to a standard computer IDE interface for connection to a mother board for computer in a vertical position perpendicular to the mother board, an IDE expansion slot for connection to a disk drive through a cable, a flash memory array formed of a number of flash memories for data storage, a single chip flash memory controller for controlling data access and addressing of data to be stored in the flash memory array, a master/slave switch controlled to assign the master/slave memory, a read-only switch controlled to start a read-only function, enabling installed program and storage data to be changed to a read-only state permanently, and a power socket for receiving a power plug to obtain power supply from it.
Abstract: A method for treating a subterranean sand formation adjacent to a bore hole forms a permeable solid barrier which restrains the movement of sand particles while maintaining the permeability of the formation. The method includes the step of forming a consolidation fluid containing an asphaltene and a hydrocarbon solvent such as naphtha or reformate with a concentration of between about 40-80 grams of asphaltene per 100 ml of solvent. The consolidation fluid is injected into the sand formation to saturate the sand in a zone around the bore hole for a distance of 1 to 2 feet. This is followed by injecting an oxygen-containing gas at a temperature of between about 100° C. to about 150° C. for a period of time of between about 24 to about 72 hours. In one embodiment of the invention, the oxygen concentration of the effluent gas is monitored and the injection of oxygen-containing gas is continued until he oxygen concentration of the effluent gas is equal to the oxygen concentration of the injected gas.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a roll top is disclosed, in which solid wood strips are arranged equidistant apart in a mold. Then glue is applied to the same side of the strips. Then a wood texture rubber sheet is covered onto strips on the side having glue. Then the mold is vacuumed, causing the rubber sheet to completely adheres to the strips. A roll top of the present invention is then fabricated in this manner, which is a simple, rapid and low cost manufacturing method for roll tops.
Abstract: A defrosting indicator for frozen foods is made from a piece of transparent tape and a layer or multiple layers of absorbent material. The indicator also includes a segment of a frozen ink cartridge of the kind used in ball point pens. The absorbent material is placed on top of the adhesive side of the tape with the frozen segment placed on top of the absorbent material. The tape and absorbent material are then folded over with the frozen ink segments in between the absorbent material. The edges of the tape are sealed together and the indicator placed on a container of frozen food.
