Abstract: An apparatus adapted for use with a plurality of cable pairs for placing a test condition on a selected cable pair including a cable pair tester and means remote from the cable pair tester for supplying a cable pair command code and a test condition command code. The cable pair tester includes a portion connected to each of the cable pairs with electrical continuity being interrupted between the cable pairs and the cable pair tester. The cable pair tester is adapted to establish electrical continuity between a selected one of the cable pairs and the cable pair tester in response to receiving a cable pair command code uniquely identifying the selected cable pair. The cable pair tester places the test condition on the selected cable pair in response to receiving the test condition command code.

Abstract: A disc for a swing check valve where the body of the disc and the hinge pins are cast as one piece to facilitate the alignment of the hinge pins with the sealing face of the disc. The swing radius of the disc is at a minimum and a spring closure is provided.

Abstract: A swing check valve where the hinge pin of the disc is supported by an insert separate from the valve seat and/or valve cage. The hinge pin insert is readily replaceable.

Abstract: A swing check valve for use between flanges wherein the valve seat and cage for the valve disc extend from the upstream to the downstream ends of the valve body. Cooperating shoulders are provided in the valve body and the member forming the seat and cage to prevent upstream movement of these members in the valve body, and downstream movement is prevented by plate-like members fitting in recesses in the cage portion and the valve body bore.

Abstract: A theft prevention device for T-tops. A first latch panel opens and closes over the latch handle of the T-top latch assembly. A conventional lock is used to lock the first panel in the closed position preventing access to the latch handle and, thus, removal of the T-top. The device is supported over the latch housing by ends which cooperate with the latch pins of the T-top.

Abstract: A stretching machine for stretching the legs of an individual which includes a pair of leg bars and a pair of leg decks. Each leg deck is slidingly and pivotingly connected to one of the leg bars to permit adjustments for different leg lengths of individuals. The leg bars are moveable in a general arc from a rest position to stretch positions by a hydraulic jack comprising a jack base, a base jack rod slidingly disposed in the jack base and a connecting rod disposed in the base jack rod. A linkage connects the connecting rod to the leg bars. A channel is slidingly connected to each leg bar and one end of the a pin is connected to the channel, the opposite end of the pin being pivotally disposed in a pivot opening in the leg deck.

Abstract: A respiration monitor for monitoring respiration of an individual comprising a sending light conductor and a receiving light conductor. The sending light conductor and the receiving light conductor are held in a position generally near a portion of the individual which moves in response to the respiration motion of the individual. More particularly, the ends of the sending light conductor and the receiving light conductor are spaced a distance apart and positioned so that the distance between the end of the sending light conductor and the end of the receiving light conductor varies in response to respiration motion of the individual. A light source emits light which is received by the sending light conductor and transmitted therethrough across the distance between the ends of the sending light conductor and the receiving light conductor, such light being received by the receiving light conductor and transmitted therethrough.

Abstract: A pivotally mounted secondary door, such as a screen door, for sliding doors, such as sliding glass "patio" doors. The secondary door swings inwardly and outwardly and preferably is provided with an automatic return. A system of seals is provided for preventing insects and such from entering around the edges of the secondary door and along the sides of the assembly. The assembly can be adjusted to accommodate sliding door frames of different internal vertical dimensions.

Abstract: A weighing unit for use with a scale wherein weight signals are inputted into a weight processor. The weight processor is adapted to output a calculated weight of the non-stationary object which closely approximates the actual or dead weight of the non-stationary object. The weight processor receives the weight signals and identifies weight signals close in time which have differences within a predetermined limit and these weight signals are manipulated to determine the calculated weight.

Abstract: An article and method for shaping a sheet of material around an object such as a flower pot, the article comprising a ring-shaped collar adapted to be secured around the object. The collar may comprise pinch rings or barbed piercing elements, disposed about the periphery of the collar for attaching the sheet of material to the collar, or the collar may be adapted to be secured around at least a portion of the object so that the sheet of material is held between the object and the collar. The article also may be used alone for shaping a sheet of material.
