Abstract: Diphenylcyclopropyl analogs in which one or more of the phenyl rings includes substituents comprising a hydroxy group, a hydrogen atom, an acetate group or a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group. The compounds are useful as antiestrogens and anti-tumor agents.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a scent to a compartment comprising a reusable holder having a connecting means and a scented card insertable into the holder. The connecting means can be a clip which is connectable to a louver of an air duct outlet register of a forced air system or to a fan guard of a utility fan. The apparatus can also be modified to attach to an interior surface of a refrigerator and may even be adaptable for use as costume jewelry. The scented card is produced by a process wherein a heat extrudable thermoplastic material is mixed with a chemical blowing agent and at least one fragrance and optionally a coloring agent, the mixture of material and fragrance is heated and extruded to produce a flat fragrant sheet of material which after being trimmed, forms a relatively rigid but flexible card insertable into the holder and removable therefrom.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing a sheet of material about a flower pot for providing a decorative cover to the flower pot, using a band applicator with an object opening. The sheet of material is held in place on the flower pot and the flower pot with the sheet of material held there about is inserted into the object opening of the band applicator. The band applicator applies a band about the sheet of material and the flower pot whereby the sheet of material is secured to the flower pot via the band.

Abstract: Apparatus for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot comprising a collar wherein the collar clamps a sheet of material to the flower, pot or wherein the sheet of material is connected to the collar and the collar is connectable to the flower pot.

Abstract: A wrapping apparatus having a springable base with attached arms which support a wrapping material. The spaced apart arms extend upward and outward from the perimeter of the springable base, which is flexible to assume an arched posture and a flat posture. In response to downward pressure on a central area of the springable base, the springable base snaps from the arched posture into the flat posture. When the springable base is in the arched posture, the arms and wrapping material are in an open position to receive an item to be wrapped. The arms and wrapping material move into a closed position when the springable base assumes the flat posture. The wrapping apparatus may be constructed with or without an upper skirt of wrapping material. The wrapping material may be inside the arms, outside the arms or may envelope the arms.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to conveyor belts and, more particularly, but not by way of limitation, to a conveyor belt having ribs formed on a lower surface thereof for moving particles generally outwardly toward the first and the second sides of link assemblies which form the conveyor belt, and to a conveyor belt constructed of modules shaped so that the interconnections between modules are offset between each link assembly and adjacent link assemblies, and a flight link having curved portions formed the faces thereof so product slides on the surfaces rather than being toppled and a conveyor belt with a tracking product groove to substantially limit lateral movement of the conveyor belt.

Abstract: A decorative assembly for a floral grouping comprising a floral holding material and a sheet of material. The floral holding material is constructed of a material capable of receiving a portion of a floral grouping and supporting the floral grouping. The sheet of material is extended about a portion of the floral holding material and a crimped portion is formed in the sheet of material with the crimped portion cooperating to hold the sheet of material about the floral holding material to provide a decorative covering.

Abstract: A ribbon assembly including a strip of material divided into segments. A material having a stretched condition and an unstretched condition is disposed on one surface of the strip of material and extends along a length of the strip of material. In the stretched condition, the strip of material extends in a substantially straight line. In the unstretched condition, each segment of the strip of material is formed into a curved segment for making a ruffle or bow.The present invention also contemplates the use of an adhesive or cohesive for holding the strip of material in the form of the bow.

Abstract: Retaining flaps for shipping cartons, with bonding material disposed on at least a portion of the flaps, are provided. The flaps are interposed between delicate items, such as, for example, floral grouping assemblies, to hold the delicate items essentially immobile within a shipping carton in order to prevent damage from internal movement of the delicate items when the shipping carton is transported. The bonding material disposed on the flaps releasably connects to portions of the floral grouping wrappings and to portions of the internal surface of the shipping carton. The flaps can be constructed of a flexible or a rigid material.

Abstract: A wrapping material for both wrapping a floral arrangement and removing the wrapping material from the floral arrangement, comprising a sheet of material having a pull tab and pull indicia thereon, the pull tab sized to be easily graspable, a bonding material disposed on the sheet of material near the pull tab. A floral arrangement is utilized, the floral arrangement being wrapped in the sheet of material and being substantially surrounded and encompassed thereby, the pull tab and pull indicia readily visible on the wrapped floral arrangement so that the pull tab is readily graspable to remove the sheet of material from the floral arrangement, the removal being accomplished without causing damage to the floral arrangement. Methods of using the wrapping material to both wrap a floral arrangement and to remove the wrapping material from the floral arrangement.

Abstract: A rotating head having a bowl assembly and a rotating assembly disposed in a bowl opening formed in the bowl assembly. The rotating assembly consists of an elastomeric member having a bearing wall formed thereon bearingly engaging a portion of the bowl assembly for bearingly supporting the elastomeric member in the bowl assembly. The elastomeric member sealingly engages a portion of the bowl assembly for forming a seal between the rotating assembly and the bowl assembly.

Abstract: A rotary cutting attachment for removing linoleum, tile, mastic, grout, adhesive and the like from floors. The cutting attachment includes a drive plate, an elastomeric ring, a cutter head, a block plate, six cutter blocks and three cutter inserts per cutter block. The elastomeric ring separates the drive plate from the cutter head and allows the attachment to adjust to the contour of the floor. The drive plate and the cutter head have sets of gears which mesh to transfer rotation of the drive plate to the cutter head. In turn, an offset member of the cutter head mates with an offset bore of the block plate to transfer rotation of the cutter head to the block plate. The six cutter blocks are removably mounted to the block plate and three cutter inserts are removably mounted to each cutter block. Typically, three cutting attachments, each driven by a hydraulic motor, are utilized in concert to remove a floor covering.

Abstract: A material dispenser for dispensing sheets of material with an adhesive applied thereto. The material is passed through a material applicator and the material applicator includes a contact portion with adhesive in contact with a portion of the material for applying adhesive to the material. The material in one embodiment is a non-heat sealable, non-shape sustaining material and the material is wrapped about a floral grouping.

Abstract: A driveway guard for installation across a driveway to prevent playthings from going into the street. The driveway guard includes a pair of posts, a net with an apron, guy lines, tent pegs and assemblies for connecting the net to the posts. The net is long enough to span a two-car driveway and has a dividing strip separating the net into two net portions. One of the net portions has a length for spanning a one-car driveway. A pair of belts are attached to the dividing strip. To install the driveway guard across a two-car driveway, the entire length of the net is suspended across the driveway between the posts, which are staked and guyed into the ground on opposite sides of the driveway. The apron engages the driveway to prevent objects from rolling under the net into the street. For a one-car driveway, the net is rolled up from one end to the dividing strip and the belts are run around the roll and buckled. The one-car net portion is then suspended across the driveway.

Abstract: A shipping carton including a box assembly and a plurality of pots containing floral groupings. A bonding material is applied to the base of the box assembly and the pots containing floral groupings are disposed in the retaining space of the box so that the bonding material engages and connects each of the pots containing floral groupings. Retaining inserts may be disposed in the retaining space of the box to retain the growing medium contained in the pots within the pots during movement or shipment of the box assembly. The retaining inserts may be secured to the inner surface of the side walls of the box through a securing means such as a clip to prevent displacement of the retaining inserts during movement or shipment of the box assembly.
