Abstract: A patient care information system which includes a plurality of patient care block assemblies with each block assembly having a patient care symbol thereon indicating patient information relating to the providing of care for the patient. Predetermined ones of the patient care block assemblies are selected relating to the care of a selected patient and those patient care block assemblies so selected are designated as selected patient care block assemblies. The selected patient care block assemblies are displayed in the vicinity of the selected patient where the patient care symbols on the selected patient care block assemblies are available to a care provider rendering care to the selected patient.
Abstract: A water cooled engine includes a thermostat interposed in a water flow passage way. The thermostat operates a valve which opens and closes to regulate the temperature of water. A bypass structure assembly is associated with the thermostat for permitting the flow of water through the thermostat to be controlled by the valve in the thermostat in an operating position of the bypass structure assembly and for bypassing the thermostat in a bypass position wherein water flows through the flow passageway bypassing the thermostat. A bypass position assembly is associated with the bypass structure assembly for positioning the bypass structure assembly in the operating position and in the bypass position.
Abstract: Sheets and rolls of sheets with detachable labels and having a closure bonding material for securing the sheets around items to be wrapped. Spots of closure bonding material may be placed on the detachable labels to hold the detachable labels in a wrapped position. The detachable labels may contain graphical, narrative and bar code information related to pricing, inventory, sales display, product description and care instructions. The sheets may also include detachable sleeves for protecting wrapped items during shipping and handle areas which may be punched out of the sheets for grasping the wrapped items. The handle areas may also contain information similar to that on the detachable labels. Sheets having detachable labels may also be used for forming flower pots or flower pot covers. By providing such labels on the unformed sheets, it is not necessary to add tags or labels after the sheets are formed into flower pots or flower pot covers.
Abstract: Apparatus for providing a decorative cover for a flower pot comprising a collar wherein the collar clamps a sheet of material to the flower pot or wherein the sheet of material is connected to the collar and the collar is connectable to the flower pot.

Abstract: A sleeve used to wrap items such as potted plants. The sleeve may have an open or closed bottom. When closed, the bottom may have a gusset for allowing expansion upon the depositing of the pot into the sleeve. The sleeve has a detachable upper portion. The sleeve may have a bonding material disposed upon an inner or outer portion of the sleeve for attaching the sleeve to the pot or item.

Abstract: An acrylic/lactam monomer based polymeric resin is provided which has excellent weatherability, outstanding transparency and optical clarity, improved heath and solvent resistance, as well as improved impact strength. The acrylic/lactam monomer based polymeric resin is formulated by the catalytic activation at ambient temperature of a polymerization syrup which contains from about 300 to about 2970 parts by volume of an acrylic monomer, from about 30 to about 2700 parts by volume of a lactam monomer, from about 0.3 parts to about 40 parts by volume of a mercaptan chain transfer agent and from about 0.3 to about 40 parts by volume of a crosslinking agent capable of crosslinking the acrylic monomer and the lactam monomer. To prevent further polymerization of the polymeric constituents of the polymerization syrup, as well as to enhance the shelf life of the polymerization syrup, an effective amount of a polymerization inhibitor and an ultraviolet light stabilizer are incorporated into the polymerization syrup.
Abstract: A sleeve forming method and apparatus where sleeves are formed by use of overlapping webs. The webs are twisted in one direction to form a seal at one side of a sleeve and later twisted in the opposite direction to form the seal at the opposite side of a sleeve, such that all of the sleeves are oriented in the same direction, such as with the large openings of the sleeves facing upwardly and the smaller openings of the sleeves facing downwardly.
Abstract: A casing seal and casing spool for providing a high pressure seal of the casing pipe of a well during fracturing operations. The casing seal includes a sleeve, a pressure-reactive ring seal, a retainer ring, a split ring and a lock ring. The sleeve has a center bore and a counter bore which is shaped to fit the end of a casing pipe. The retainer ring has an upper recess to accommodate deformation of the ring seal as the ring seal reacts to high pressure. Assembled from four split ring members, the split ring has an upper lip for insertion into an annular groove in a bore and a lower ring recess to accommodate the lock ring. The lock ring is secured in the ring recess of the split ring with threaded fasteners. The casing spool includes an upper flange, a lower flange, a center bore extending between the flanges, an upper counter bore and a lower counter bore.
Abstract: A method for growing botanical items where a liner is disposed in a container. A growing medium is disposed in the liner and a propagule is disposed in the growing medium. When the botanical item has grown to the desired extent, the liner with the growing medium in the botanical item disposed therein is removed from the container and disposed in a decorative covering thereby permitting the container to be reused for growing other botanical items. In one other embodiment, the decorative covering is placed in the container and the botanical item is grown in the decorative covering which then is removed from the container. In one other embodiment, the botanical item is grown in the decorative covering without the necessity of using a container.
Abstract: A conveyor with cleats having a curved product-carrying surface on one side and a curved product-releasing surface on the opposite side. The cleats are pivotally linked to form an endless loop. A sprocket assembly and motor are provided to rotate the endless loop. The cleats extend outwardly from the loop and are spaced such that product items may be disposed between adjacent cleats. The loop has a transfer bend where product items shift by gravity from one cleat to an adjacent cleat. At the point where product items exit from the conveyor, the curved product-releasing surface gently deposits the product items onto an output surface.
Abstract: A method for providing a protective wrapper about a vase containing a floral grouping. A connecting bonding material and a closure bonding material are disposed on the sheet. The sheet is wrapped about the vase causing the connecting bonding material to connect the sheet to the vase. The closure bonding material is sealed above the floral grouping to enclose the floral grouping within the sheet of material. The sheet may have a second closure bonding material for effecting a vertically sealed area in the sheet.
Abstract: A system for characterizing the pressure, temperature, movement and flow patterns of a fluid under high pressure within a test cell. The test cell is lined internally with adjustable rock facings. Pressure is measured within the test cell using a device employing pressure-distortable optical fibers. Fluid velocity, flow direction, and filter-cake buildup are measured with laser Doppler velocimetry. The flow pattern of the fluid is viewed using corresponding arrays of transmitting and receiving optical fibers. Temperature of the fluid is estimated using a combination of thermal sensors. The pressure, velocity, viewing and temperature systems are integral to the rock facings of the test cell.

Abstract: A weight collar for use with a stabilizer adapted to be connected to a bow. The weight collar is removably connected to a stabilizer outer peripheral surface of the stabilizer. The weight collar includes a pad constructed of a compressible material whereby the weight collar is movable in upwardly and downwardly directions perpendicular to an axial center line of the weight collar and movable in angular directions relative to the axial center line of the weight-collar while remaining attached to the weight collar. A stabilizer for use with a bow having a stabilizer tube with an opening extending therethrough forming a stabilizer chamber, the stabilizer chamber defining a stabilizer in a peripheral surface. A resonator suppressor ring is disposed in the stabilizer chamber between the first and the second ends of the stabilizer tube.
Abstract: A device and method for forming a skirt about an article, particularly a bed. A strip of material is connected to slits formed in a body member in a manner wherein the strip of material extends a distance from the body member. The body member is disposed upon an upper surface of the article to be covered whereby the body member is disposed about at least a portion of the perimeter of the article and the strip of material hangs down over the edge of the article and thereby forms a skirt about at least a portion of the article. Multiple devices may be utilized to form a skirt about multiple sides of the article.
Abstract: An article forming system for forming at least one sheet of material into an article, such as a decorative flower pot cover for example. The article forming system includes a male die and a female die. A sheet of material is automatically moved to a loaded position between the male and female dies and then the male and female dies are moved to a forming position for forming the article. The formed articles are automatically stacked.
