Abstract: A band applicator for applying a band about a sheet of material disposed about a pot to provide a decorative cover for the pot. The band applicator includes a pot frame having a pot opening and a band holder configured to releasably hold a plurality of bands. The sheet of material is extended about the outer peripheral surface of the pot, and the pot with the sheet of material disposed thereabout is disposed in a pot receiving space in the pot frame. The pot frame holds the sheet of material positioned about the pot. A band is removed from the band holder and disposed about the sheet of material and pot for cooperating to hold the sheet of material positioned about the pot.

Abstract: A gate valve comprising a valve body, a gate, a bonnet assembly and an actuator assembly. The gate having a closure area, a flow opening extending through the gate, and a recess circumscribing the flow opening and the closure area having a material disposed therein and case hardened to form a wear resistant sealing surface about the flow opening and the closure area having a hardness greater than about 50 Rockwell. The gate being press fitted between a pair of seat rings such that the sealing surface remains in sealing engagement against the seat rings to provide a substantially fluid tight seal when the gate is in an open and closed position. The actuating assembly is connected to the gate for reciprocally moving the gate across the flow bore between the open position and the closed position.
Abstract: A material dispenser for dispensing single sheets of material from stacks of sheets of material or from rolls of material and applying an adhesive strip to the sheet. The adhesive strip is applied by contacting the adhesive portion of an adhesive transfer tape to the sheet. The sheet of material with the adhesive strip applied thereto can be used to wrap floral arrangements or flower pots or other articles. The apparatus may be combined with an automatic pot wrapping apparatus so the adhesive application and decorative pot wrapping sequence can be combined into one continuous operation.
Abstract: A disposable protective sheath for covering the dilating members of a speculum which are partially insertable into the vaginal cavity of a patient during a gynecological endoscopic examination. The sheath protects against transmission of potentially harmful micro-organisms via the speculum while still allowing visual and instrumental access to the vaginal cavity by the examining physician, yet the sheath does not interfere with the normal operation of the speculum.
Abstract: A bag holder adapted to hold a training bag and adapted to be used in a corner with a first wall and a second wall and a floor surface disposed therebetween. The bag holder includes a leg assembly having one portion extending a distance along and engaging the first wall and another portion extending a distance along and engaging the second wall. A bag support is connected to the leg assembly. A portion of the bag support extends a distance upwardly from the leg assembly and another portion of the bag support extends a distance outwardly above the leg assembly terminating with an outward end. The bag assembly is connected to the bag support assembly near the outer end of the bag support assembly.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a scent to a compartment comprising a reusable holder having a connecting means and a scented card insertable into the holder. The connecting means can be a clip which is connectable to a louver of an air duct outlet register of a forced air system or to a fan guard of a utility fan. The apparatus can also be modified to attach to an interior surface of a refrigerator and may even be adaptable for use as costume jewelry. The scented card is produced by a process wherein a heat extrudable thermoplastic material is mixed with a chemical blowing agent and at least one fragrance and optionally a coloring agent, the mixture of material and fragrance is heated and extruded to produce a flat fragrant sheet of material which after being trimmed, forms a relatively rigid but flexible card insertable into the holder and removable therefrom.
