Abstract: A cargo box having a folding first side that is configured to be placed within the rear portion of a pickup truck, and to be held against the tailgate of the pickup while the tailgate is closed, thus preventing the device from moving too far forward when the tailgate is closed. This device is also configured to be rolled along the bed of the pickup and rolled out of the rear of the pickup over the top of the tailgate when the tailgate is open and placed in a downward position. The device contains a stopping device that prevents the device from being pulled too far forward out of the rear portion of the pickup truck, or being pushed too far into the bed portion of the pickup truck.
Abstract: The present invention is a microswitch where the movable contact that is attached to a movable member is adjacent a fixed end of said movable member and not adjacent a free end of said movable member.
Abstract: A rotary deck bushing having an outer body held in a fixed orientation within a drill deck and an inner bushing portion that is configured for rotatable positioning within the outer body portion. A floating center bushing is removable positioned within the inner bushing and can be replaced as wear occurs. A dust deflector made up of a dust canister and a live rubber face with an opening is connected to the inner bushing portion so as to rotate with the inner bushing and to seal out the bushing portion from dust and grit and thus decrease the amount of wear upon the bearings of the device.
Abstract: A pet entertainment device for the entertainment of a pet. The device having a laser device that is configured to attach to a pet though use of a garment, such as a collar. The laser device preferably controllable through use of a remote control so that the movement of the pet (dog, cat, etc.) can be directed by the pet's owner.
Abstract: A hydraulic accelerator tube is provided for an improved hydraulic food cutting assembly. The accelerator tube is formed of polyurethane having a durometer hardness within the range of 20–70. It is encased within a clamshell housing which, when installed in the food cutting assembly, locks in position an inlet flange and an outlet flange which are formed integrally with the accelerator tube. Stiffening ribs are provided and are also formed integrally with the accelerator tube.
Abstract: A fluid bed granulation process for manufacturing non-hygroscopic, stable granulates containing a water-soluble salt of S-adenosylmethionine is described. Said process comprises: a) the simultaneous, sequential or alternate dispersion of at least a solution of a water-soluble salt of SAMe (A) and of a solution of a coating agent (B), on a fluid bed granulation carrier (C) and b) the fluid bed granulation of the mixture. Granulates obtainable by said process and solid oral pharmaceutical forms obtainable by said granulates are disclosed.
Abstract: An image display unit 10 comprises a light source 14 and a light diffusing panel 18, over which is mounted an opposed pair or retaining sheets 20 with a volume 22 formed between each retaining sheet 20 and the panel 18 for receiving an image-bearing sheet 34. An elongate opening 26, 28 for providing access to the volume 22 formed in each face of the unit 10 is located spaced from the edges of the unit 10, so allowing a user to access the volumes 22 regardless of proximity of the edges of the unit 10 to other units, or to a wall or the like.
Abstract: A marking tape measure having a marking applicator, which is selectively engageable, adjacent this applicator being a wheel or other directional guide for guiding the applicator generally perpendicular to the direction the tape measure's tape blade extends from the tape measure's case.
Abstract: Disclosed is a vibration dampening handle for power tools. It includes a branch handle attached to a main handle, but at least one resilient connection. The upper connection is through a resilient connection, and the lower connection is typically a solid connection.
Abstract: The invention is a mill rod puller which removes mill rods from hammermills or similar devices through the use of a reciprocating hydraulic action. The rod puller includes a support frame and a rod extension that attaches to an end of the rods of the hammermill. The rod extension has a number of attachment points for attaching the rod extension to a reciprocating force generator. The reciprocating force generator then moves away from the hammermill, and pulls the rod extension with it, and also pulls the rod to which the rod extension is attached, in increments.
Abstract: A dual closure nozzle for use with a hose carrying a liquid under pressure. The dual closure nozzle is made up of an inner delivery conduit attached to an end cap and threaded within an outer sleeve having a nozzle head. The dual closure nozzle is configured to have two different stop positions and to be adjustable between these two stop positions and a variety of open positions. When a liquid is forced through the nozzle, the flow of the liquid can then be adjusted from a first stop position, where no liquid passes out of the nozzle, through a variety of open position spray patterns to a second stop position. This configuration thus provides a nozzle that can be closed by turning the outer sleeve portion of the nozzle in either of two directions, and prevents spray from wetting the person utilizing the device.
Abstract: A storable sleeping bed made up of a foldable bed platform configured for folding storage within a cabinet, a plurality of vertical support pieces configured to support the bed. An air mattress configured to be inflated for use and deflated when storage is desired, and an air mattress. The entire assembly held within a cabinet, which has a thickness of less than twelve inches.
Abstract: A system and method for servicing restrooms on the upper floors of a high rise building. The system is comprised of sections of vacuum hose that are interconnected by T-valves each T-valve is configured to provide a user with the ability to selectively shut off the flow of material in a vertical or horizontal direction or both. These vacuum hoses are then connected to a liquid cooled pump, which is connected to a vacuum tank. The system operates by selectively opening and closing the vertical and horizontal valves to focus vacuum force in areas to be cleaned and prevent vacuum in non-desired areas.
Abstract: A safe, stable compass for making circles and ellipses, having a stable rotating platform with a variably adjustable arm that allows the device to be self-supporting upon a surface and to be easily rotated in any one of a variety of directions around a single rotating point. The invention allows persons of limited manual dexterity to apply force in one location and then to rotate the entire device around this one point.
