  • Patent number: 7438964
Abstract: An adhesive cord cover for enveloping a cord, such as an electrical cord or chandelier chain. The adhesive cord cover is formed from a lengthwise strip of fabric. A pressure sensitive adhesive is attached to the fabric strip, preferably along a first lengthwise edge. The pressure sensitive adhesive is positioned and configured to allow a fastening side of the pressure sensitive adhesive to be selectively adhered to the lengthwise strip of fabric to thereby form a tubular configuration for enveloping a cord. The pressure sensitive adhesive is preferably an adhesive transfer tape. The transfer tape preferably has a removable liner on the fastening side. The removable liner assists in preserving the adhesive properties of the pressure sensitive adhesive prior to use. The pressure sensitive adhesive transfer tape is preferably a continuous strip that extends substantially along the entire length of the piece of fabric.

  • Patent number: 7387167
Abstract: There is disclosed an electrically insulating device in the form of a sleeve (12) for a downhole tool, for electrically insulating a first threaded electrically conductive member in the form of an anchor sub (16) from a second threaded electrically conductive member in the form of an insulated sub (18). An assembly (10) including the sleeve (12) has particular use in measurement while drilling (MWD)/logging while drilling (LWD) procedures. In one embodiment, a third member in the form of a threaded electrically conductive sleeve sub (20) is coupled to the insulated sub by a second sleeve (14), to create an insulated gap between the anchor and sleeve subs (16, 20).

  • Patent number: 7377930
Abstract: The device is a tube for placement around a living, human nerve fiber to protect the nerve from external damage. The device includes two concentric tubes, each of which are semi-circular in cross section. The lining tube rotates within the outer tube. Each of the lining tubes has a channel that extends the length of the tube. When the channels of the two tubes are aligned, the spine-protecting device can be slipped over a nerve without injuring the nerve. Once the nerve is safely inside the lining tube, the two tubes can be rotated relative to each other and locked into place, thus forming a protective tube that extends 360 degrees around a section of nerve. This device can be inserted into the opening between the vertebrae through which the nerve extends. Other runs of nerve in the human body can also be protected.
