  • Patent number: 7004546
Abstract: A stowable chair armrest for a seat assembly which includes a armrest portion connected to the seat assembly through a restricted movement rotating joint which has limited rotation about a horizontal X and Y axes, the Y-axis being parallel to the length of the armrest portion and positioned above the plane of the seat cushion whereby the armrest portion is rotatable about the Y-axis approximately 180° from an elevated position of the armrest to a retracted position. When the armrest is in its use position, it cannot rotate downward about its Y-axis. However, the arm rest can be lifted upward 10° about its X-axis, wherein a flat blade connecting the armrest to a spherical pivot becomes aligned in a longitudinal chamber having a circular cross-section thus permitting the armrest portion to rotate 180° about its Y-axis to its stowed position.

  • Patent number: 6932172
Abstract: Cutter elements including pointed contact structures and elements, and rock tools or bits for carrying those elements, for chipping, cutting, and breaking non-ductile materials are disclosed. The cutter elements, the ends of which directly contact and cut through rock and other materials, have tapered contact structure ends which are flatter than those known to the prior art, obtaining increased durability. The contact elements which may be part of the contact structures are selected of materials having hardness and other characteristics in relation to those of the mounting structures, including the tapered and projecting portions, which also add durability and wear-resistance to the elements. Fixed, replaceable, and rotatable cutter elements are disclosed. Rock tools including bits are also disclosed for carrying the cutter elements, having sockets for threaded or rotatable cutter elements arranged in straight or curved rows on the head opposite the drill-string-engaging base of the tool.

  • Patent number: 6912754
Abstract: The golf shoe brush of the present invention includes a housing, a shoe brush and a brush tray, which is slidably mounted to the housing. The housing is configured to be mounted under the body of a golf cart or motor powered vehicle. The brush tray is slidably mounted to the housing and is spring biased to move from a retracted position where the brush tray is substantially enclosed within the housing to an extended position where the brush tray is extended away from the housing to present the shoe brush for easy access by a golfer wishing to brush the sole of his or her golf shoe. The housing has a pin and the brush tray has openings for receiving and capturing the pin so that the brush tray can be secured in the retracted position.

  • Patent number: 6874308
Abstract: A tilting deck lawn mower including a tractor frame, with drive wheel hydrostatic steering supporting a carrier frame and cutting deck pivotally mounted to the tractor frame on a horizontal axis parallel to the path of movement of the mower. Supported by the carrier frame is a single cutting deck with multiple blades; a pair of castered wheels mounted on the carrier frame, one on each side for ground support; a horizontal leg supporting one of the wheels is pivotally journaled to the carrier frame; a parallelogram linkage connecting the rotation of the supporting leg to the tractor, whereby the supporting leg does not rotate relative to the ground when the carrier frame rotates and an adjustable supporting arms on the carrier frame supporting the cutting deck which arms lift the cutting deck up towards the carrier frame as the carrier frame and cutting deck begin the rotate.

  • Patent number: 6854201
Abstract: A cutting tooth used on an endless chain-trenching machine to fracture and excavate the ground. The tooth includes a mounting portion for attachment to the chain and a cutting portion having a straight cutting edge at the leading end of the tooth positioned normal to the direction movement of the chain. The cutting portion is aligned from the mounting at an acute angle to the plane of the mounting portion and including convex surfaces on both sides of the cutting portion and a juncture line between the mounting portion and the cutting portion forms an acute angle with the direction movement of the chain whereby the cuttings produced by the tooth are lifted away by the chain as the chain is digging.

  • Patent number: 6704972
Abstract: A lightweight plastic bolt-like fastener which is used in pairs having a dual ratcheting function. The fastener includes a bolt having a stem which is semi-cylindrical in cross-section, with a head connected to one end of the stem and a semi-circular aperture in the head positioned coaxially aligned with the stem for receipt of a stem from a second bolt directed in opposite orientation. Positioned longitudinally along the flat side of the stem is a rack of serrated teeth which when the stem is inserted within the semi-circular aperture, a deflectable locking tab attached to the head end of the stem engages the rack of serrated teeth as a ratchet, and since the two fasteners each have stems sliding within the semi-circular aperture of the opposing stem, there is a double ratcheting action between both fasteners.
