An electrical conductor is applied, at least in the defined area, and is arranged either within or outside the individual coils, and completely surrounding the individual coils and forming a closed circuit.

Abstract: A bound materials core measuring device includes a tubular body to accommodate a core sample of road or pathway surfacing bound material. The tubular body has a plurality of graduated scales extending therealong at spaced intervals therearound to enable the core sample to be measured from a plurality of angles by reading from each of the plurality of graduated scales. The tubular body has, located therein, a supporting element for supporting the core sample with the supporting element being mounted for longitudinal movement relative to the tubular body. The tubular body also includes therein a device for effecting the longitudinal movement.

Abstract: An apparatus for determining the impedance (Zaw) of a patient's respiratory tract, by measuring the alternating pressure (dp) in the region of the patient's mouth after producing an oscillating air pressure signal, includes a mouthpiece, an electroacoustic transducer having a mechanical oscillation system for generating the oscillating air pressure signal, a tube for connecting the electroacoustic transducer to the mouthpiece, a reference resistance for determining the reference impedance (Zref), and a computing device for calculating the impedance (Zaw) of the respiratory tract on the basis of the reference impedance (Zref) of the reference resistance, the entire impedance (Zges) and the entire phase angle (Phi). The change in the deflection of the mechanical oscillation system on the electroacoustic transducer, caused by the alternating pressure (dp) of the breathing of the patient, can be measured in a contactless manner using at least one measuring device.

Abstract: A fuel cooler with lamellar inner structures for connecting to an air-conditioning system of a vehicle includes an outer housing having outer connections connected to an outer supply pipe and an outer discharge pipe for a first fluid with the outer connections being integrated into walls of the outer housing in a diagonally mismatched arrangement. An inner conduit cell, surrounded by the outer housing, has an inner supply pipe and an inner discharge pipe for a second fluid passing through the inner conduit cell, which includes lamellas oriented parallel to a direction of flow of the second fluid, with the first fluid coming into contact with an outer contact surface of the inner conduit cell prior to exiting the outer housing for creating a heat exchange between, and without a mixing of, the two fluids, which are fuel and a coolant.

Abstract: A method for obtaining a 5-bromolevulinic acid methyl ester or a 5-chlorolevulinic acid methyl ester from either a bromination mixture or a chlorination mixture, containing either a 5-bromo-levulinic acid methyl ester or a 5-chlorolevulinic acid methyl ester, respectively, produced by either brominating or chlorinating levulinic acid or a levulinic acid methyl ester, and further including the steps of dissolving the bromination or chlorination mixture in an organic solvent or solvent mixture and cooling the solution, preferably to ?20° C.–?40° C., with the 5-bromolevulinic acid methyl ester or 5-chlorolaevulinic acid methyl ester being crystallized out of the solution. The 5-bromolevulinic acid methyl ester or 5-chlorolevulinic acid is then isolated by draining off the solution with the remaining bromination mixture or chlorination mixture, as appropriate.

Abstract: The spout seal for combipacks consists of a bottom part (2) and a hinged lid (1) attached to it for opening and closing the seal. The bottom part (2) is fused onto a combipack with its level bottom side. It has a circular, upward-projecting overhang (11), which forms a pouring spout. The inside of the overhang (11) is open. The lid (1) forms a mold (21) that bulges out upwards on it when swiveled open, which forms a level top side that form-fits into the clearance opening (9) surrounded by the projecting lip (11) in the bottom side of the bottom part (2) when swiveled shut. This level top side either lies flush with this bottom side of the bottom part (2) or projects downward from this bottom side by up to 0.5 mm. This top side of the bulge (21) is bonded with the punched-out spot in the combipack or fused with the sealing foil of a combipack exposed through punching. When swiveling the lid (1) open, the sealing foil is cleanly torn out in the entire clearance section of the bottom part (2).

The different sources of light strike the object surface at different angles of incidence and reflect off the surface and are then able to be measured by an image sensor which produces a plurality of image data sets having different contents. In this way, a first image data set is produced with the incident light from which form-independent or non-topographical characteristics, such as color errors, can be derived. Form-dependent or topographical characteristics, such as scratches, are derived from a second image data set formed with glancing light or oblique light. Before the form characteristics are derived from the first image data set, it is essential that the distorting influences of form-independent characteristics are eliminated from the first image data set via the second image data set.
