Abstract: A beverage forming apparatus, system and cooling method is disclosed. The beverage forming apparatus includes a container to contain a beverage, a detaching device to scrape frozen particles of the beverage from an inner surface of the container, a cooling medium to cool the beverage to a predetermined temperature, and a motor to provide a relative motion between the container and detaching device. The beverage forming and dispensing system includes an inlet hose to dispense a beverage into the system, a beverage forming apparatus to form the beverage with frozen microscopic particles of the beverage, a tap to dispense the beverage with the frozen microscopic particles of the beverage to a container, and a defrost apparatus to defrost the frozen microscopic particles of the beverage.

Abstract: The present invention is a multi-phase method, circuit and system for programming non-volatile memory (“NVM”) cells in an NVM array. The present invention may include a controller to determine when, during a first programming phase, one or more NVM cells of a first set of cells reaches or exceeds a first intermediate voltage, and to cause a charge pump circuit to apply to a terminal of the one or more cells in the first set second phase programming pulses to induce relatively greater threshold voltage changes in cells having less stored charge than in cells having relatively more stored charge.

Abstract: A system and method for fabricating an electro-optical hybrid module (100). The electro-optical hybrid module (100) may comprise an electro-optical component, an electronic component (110), a planar light wave circuit (PLC) embedded with at least an optical waveguide (120). The electro-optical component may transmit or receive energy through a micro-folding mirror (160) while the electronic component may amplify and transfer an electric signal to the electro-optical component. The planar light wave circuit may typically provide an opto-electronic signal communication path via the plurality of optical waveguides that may be embedded in the planar light wave circuit.

Abstract: A method includes determining groups of rows to erase together in order to minimize the margin loss associated with bake after a large number of program and erasure cycles. The method alternatively includes determining groups of rows to erase together to minimize the width of a resultant erase threshold voltage distribution, erasing the groups together, stopping erasure of a group when the group is erase verified and performing the step of erasing on those groups which were not previously erase verified.

Abstract: A method of compressing an image formed of pixels. The method includes providing a pixel of the image, to be encoded, selecting at least two pixels of the image, other than the encoded pixel, defining a straight line including the encoded pixel, to serve as prediction pixels, calculating a prediction value for the encoded pixel using at least the selected pixels, determining a difference between the calculated prediction value and the actual value of the encoded pixel, encoding the determined difference, such that the encoding error is bounded; and repeating for at least 5% of the pixels of the image.
