  • Patent number: 6250663
Abstract: A spit-frame, heavy truck, suspension system for trucks that haul trailers made of three moveably interlocked rigid frames referred to as the front frame, rear frame, and interconnecting frame. The front frame supports the cab, engine, and transmission. The rear primary frame supports the drive axle and fifth wheel. The rear end of the interconnecting frame is pivotally mounted to the rear frame whereby the rear frame may rotate about a transverse axis. The front end of the interconnecting frame is mounted to the front frame in a manner that permits the interconnecting frame to rotate and pivot along its longitudinal axis relative to the front frame. Hydraulic cylinders are used to dampen vibrations and oscillations within this spit-frame structure.

  • Patent number: 6196956
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of universal joints, especially constant velocity universal joints, to provide multi-axial rotational freedom on exercise, rehabilitation and testing machines. The universal joints may be an integral part of the exercise, rehabilitation and testing machines, or they be provided as adapters for use on uni-axial machines. Furthermore, the adapters may function to act as converters such that attachments designed for machines using a receiver apparatus may be used on machines with an input shaft. Conversely, the adapters may function to act as converters such that attachments designed for machines using an input shaft may be used on machines using an attachment receiver. Additionally, an improved apparatus attachment is provided which uses an arm/joint stabilizer to further support the arm and joint position. The apparatus attachment primarily comprises a lever arm with a hand grip attached to a first end and the arm/joint stabilizer attached to a second end.

  • Patent number: 6197110
Abstract: A liquid phase deposition method of mass producing substantially uniform silicon dioxide films on wafers by forming wafer sets from at least four wafers. The wafer sets are placed in a slotted polytetrafluroethylene polymer boat wherein a proper and short distance between the front surface of a wafer and another surface is created. Finally, a substantially uniform silicon dioxide film is deposited on the wafer surfaces by contacting the wafer sets with an aqueous supersaturated silicon dioxide solution comprising a mixture of hydrofluosilicic acid and boric acid.

  • Patent number: 6167361
Abstract: The present invention includes a method and computer program for determining possible configurations of a racing vehicle Four-Link assembly. A user of the computer program is prompted for measurements of the Four-Link assembly bracket apertures relative to the garage floor. The measurements are entered into the computer program to produce reference points for the vehicle. The computer program then permits a calculation of lines comprised of the relevant Four-Link assembly bracket apertures and an interpolation of points on each line representing a possible Four-Link configuration. The computer program then renders either a video display and/or a printout of the possible Four-Link configurations and the intersect points of the lines created by the interpolated lines representing Four-Link configurations.
