Draining apertures on insert allow liquid to drain away from foodstuffs into a space below insert and thereby separates liquid from foodstuffs. Draining apertures are formed from internal walls having curved sections and are sized to facilitate insertion of human fingers therein during cleaning, the curved sections and size of apertures facilitating cleaning. Guide lines marked on insert allow insert to be cut to be adapted in size and shape to lower surface of cooler.

Abstract: In a garment element, for example a cuff for a sleeve, an access opening is defined between an overlap section extending between two attachment sections, the overlap section being formed of interleaving fabric ends suitably stiffened to provide a self-sealing function in both a use mode in which a body member extends there through and a non-use mode with the opening closed.

Abstract: A musical game for facilitating learning of musical concepts has a game board with, for each player, a player set of musical symbols inscribed thereupon. Players draw cards which define tasks which must be completed in order to progress in the game by marking musical symbols, with a marker, in their respective player sets on the game board. The first player to mark each symbol in the players respective set is the winner. Additional cards are also provided to direct movement of tokens, one for each player, on spaces on the game board, inscribed thereupon as a partial piano keyboard. A player may become a conductor by marking instruments inscribed on the board with the markers. A conductor has increased opportunities to mark symbols in the respective player set and thus of winning the game.

Abstract: A fastening mechanism for fastening eyewear, such as spectacles or clip-on lenses, to clothing has a first and second clips pivotally connected by a pivot. The first clip has jaws is for gripping the eyewear on extremities of pivotally connected respective first and second jaws thereof. The second clip has jaws is for gripping the clothing on extremities of pivotally connected respective first and second jaws thereof. The pivot connects the first lever of the first clip to one of the levers of the second clip, and is situated generally longitudinally opposite the extremities of the first clip, thereby permitting the clips to be freely pivoted relative one another by gravity to suspend the jaws of the first clip, and thereby the eyewear, below the pivot. The jaws of the first clip have cushions which abuttingly contact the eyewear when gripped by the jaws of the first clip.

The container includes a storage area, for receiving the item therein, which is defined by the inner sidewall. The storage area is at a first storage temperature. The insulating chamber is substantially filled with a first insulating material, which is a gel mixture. The first insulating material is at a first insulating temperature. The storage area attains a second storage temperature after the item is placed therein and the first insulating material maintains the second storage temperature and the item at the predetermined temperature for a storage period.

Abstract: A linear generator apparatus includes first and second elongate coaxial bodies that are axially movable relative to one another with a reciprocating movement. The first body is axially and freely movable relative to the second body within a predetermined displacement range or free zone. A helical spring connecting to both first and second bodies biases the first body toward the free zone relative to the second body when outside of the free zone. An electrical power generator mounted on both first and second bodies generates power when the first and second bodies axially move relative to one another within the free zone and beyond. The invention also relates to a suspension system for motor vehicle that includes a coil spring and the apparatus in replacement of a conventional shock absorber.

Abstract: A method and device to protect a grinding mill, at startup from a gravity-balanced condition thereof, used for grinding material therein by rotating the drum so that the material adheres to the drum inner surface and rises therewith over a cascading angle from a startup position at the gravity-balanced condition prior to detach by gravity from the inner surface and tumble into a cascading flow. The method is used for protecting the grinding mill from damages potentially resulting from the material agglomerating into a generally solidified lumped volume that could adhere to the inner surface and rotate therewith more than the cascading angle to a fall angle wherein the lumped volume may detach from the inner surface and impact an impact position within the drum.

Abstract: An electromagnetic bandgap device is mountable on a RF disturbing structure of an antenna to minimize signal field disturbance imparted thereby. The RF disturbing structure is oriented in a direction substantially parallel to a path of travel of an antenna signal and located within a field covered by the signal transmitted by a feed. The bandgap device comprises a plurality of RF perturbing elements connected to the RF disturbing structure and spaced apart from one another in the direction substantially parallel to the signal path. The perturbing elements are positioned, configured and sized to direct a disturbed portion of the signal away therefrom to reduce field disturbance generated by the disturbed signal portion interacting with an undisturbed portion of the antenna signal.

Abstract: A heat reclaim refrigeration system uses a first compressor to elevate the amount of latent heat reclaimable by the system and to reclaim this heat using heat reclaim means, such as heat reclaim coils, for practical applications, such as heating a building. In addition, the system reduces pressure required from a second compressor used for refrigeration, and energy consumed thereby, especially during cold periods of the year when a refrigerant condensing means has lower condensing requirements.

Abstract: A razor handle supports a razor head, which is attachable to a supporting stem. The handle has an elongated body, which defines a body longitudinal axis, a razor head attachment member for attaching the razor head to said razor handle adjacent a body first end, and a handle-to-stem attachment member for attaching said razor handle adjacent a body second end to the stem. The attachment member has a slot, which defines a retention segment and an insertion segment. The retention segment defines a longitudinal axis, which is parallel to the body axis, and which leads into the retention segment. The insertion segment allows the stem to be inserted into the retention segment so that the razor handle can be suspended from the supporting stem.

Abstract: A device for modifying electromagnetic illumination of a reflector aperture defined by a reflector surface is mounted in front of the reflector aperture in a spaced apart relationship relative to the reflector surface. The device at least partially covers the reflector aperture and provides an illumination control means for at least partially and selectively modifying electromagnetic illumination of the reflector aperture. The device may include a membrane-like substrate that is substantially transparent to electromagnetic radiation. A supporting member may support the substrate in the spaced apart relationship relative to the reflector surface.

Abstract: This invention describes a transfer stretcher, harness and method designed to lift, transfer or support a person, more specifically a heavy weight, large size (oversize) person. Stretchers are generally used by hospitals or by rescue/emergency units to lift or carry a person from one location to another. The transfer stretcher covered by the present invention is made of a supporting canvas equipped with lifting straps and rings, a removable washable comfort cloth, and maybe used with a removable safety harness that can be used with a stretcher basket and a sling frame. The transfer stretcher can be used to move a body manually with the help of several persons, or in combination with various lifting equipment.

Abstract: A method for improving the electric isolation of a wide coverage antenna mounted on a structure. The structure defines a peripheral wall and a first end wall and the elongated antenna has a base. The antenna pivotally mounts on the structure about a mounting axis parallel to the structure axis, in a spaced apart relationship relative to the peripheral wall in a direction pointing generally outwardly therefrom with the antenna base and at least part of an antenna body being in a step back relationship relative to the first end wall such that the antenna is at least partially electrically isolated by the structure while being substantially hidden from the first end wall. A second antenna similarly pivotally positioned relative to the peripheral wall can be generally opposed to the first antenna about the structure such that the two antennas are at least partially electrically isolated from one another.

Abstract: A continuous composter for continuously processing organic waste material from a generally heterogeneous state into a generally homogenous state. The composter includes a container rotatably mounted on a support frame about its longitudinal axis that defines an inner chamber containing an amount of the heterogeneous waste material for continuous circulation therein. An agitator located within the inner chamber is rotatably mounted on fixed end walls about its own longitudinal axis that is offset relative to the container axis. The agitator is located to selectively receive the circulated waste material from the rotating container, to separate the heterogeneous waste material into the homogenous waste material, and to aerate the homogenous waste material by projecting it within the chamber. Both the container and the agitator rotates in a same direction at a relatively slow and fast rotational speed respectively.

The device includes at least one rotatably driven shaft with two ends, one of which is connected to a frame, the other end being disposed towards the surface. The driven shaft is disposed orthogonal relative to the surface. A work head is connected to the shaft and is in contact with the surface. The work head is rotated by the shaft relative to the surface and reconditions the surface. A mobile device is disclosed.

Abstract: Tension alert device is attached between opposing ends of a securing member attached to a load bed to secure a load thereupon. The device has a strip with a curved portion, which is resiliently movable towards a proximity sensor disposed on a wall in device. When tension in securing member decreases, proximity of curved portion relative wall decreases. When curved portion enters a proximity actuation state relative first wall corresponding to a low tension state where tension is below a tension threshold level, a proximity sensor actuates a signaling device which alerts a user.

Abstract: A hat with enclosure for an insect screen has a generally planar top section and at least a first fabric member. The top section has a top edge and the first fabric member has a first edge and a second free edge. The first edge is connected to a portion of the top edge. The second edge is adjacent another portion of the top edge to define a closable opening there between. The fabric member and the top section define an enclosure that covers substantially entirely the top section. The insect screen has a portion connectable to either the top section or the fabric member adjacent the closable opening and is selectively insertable into the enclosure and deployable therefrom to cover a user's head. Preferably, the top section is partially covered by a second fabric member that also forms the enclosure.

Abstract: A fountain apparatus for use with a flowable food media includes a recipient for receiving the food media therein, a recipient and an output port. The recipient is heatable within a predetermined temperature range for maintaining the food media within the temperature range. The output port connects to the recipient downstream of an aperture extending through a wall thereof and has a passageway extending there through for receiving the food media from the aperture. The passageway defines an inlet opening that is in fluid communication with the recipient via the aperture and an outlet opening that has an opening mechanism to selectively control the opening thereof. A heating member is thermally connected to the output port for warming up the same to maintain the food media therein within the temperature range.
