Abstract: This invention involves an apparatus for lifting and transporting toilets. The apparatus includes a base portion, at least two toilet lifting members, a toilet securing member, and a lifting mechanism. The toilet lifting members are configured for positioning underneath the bowl portion of a toilet. The toilet securing member extends upward from the base and contains a u-shaped upper portion that is designed to fit over the rim of the toilet bowl and secure to the inner portion of the toilet bowl. The lifting mechanism preferably comprises a handle attached to a piston. The base portion includes wheels for transport. The toilet lifting members and the toilet securing member contain a padded region for contacting the toilet to prevent damage. The toilet securing member is height adjustable to accommodate various sized toilets. An extension portion is provided for attachment to the u-shaped portion to secure larger toilets.
Abstract: A low-profile apparatus for converting water current into electricity. Fabric scoops are spaced along a continuous belt and, when submerged in a current of moving water, are pushed by the current thereby causing the continuous belt to move. The current pushes the fabric scoops downstream and then fold closed as the fabric scoops are rotated out of the water and travel back upstream. The moving continuous belt is used to turn an electric generator, which causes the apparatus to produce electrical energy. The apparatus includes one or more floats to support the continuous belt, electric generator, and other components of the apparatus. The apparatus can be moored or anchored in a variety of locations where there is moving water or currents. The apparatus maintains a low profile by using fabric scoops that collapse and fold flat when not submerged thereby reducing wind resistance and visible surface area above the waterline.
Abstract: An interactive rocking cradle and doll is disclosed where, when the cradle is rocked with the baby inside of it, the cradle emits music and baby sounds. If the cradle is rocked without the baby, however, then the cradle only emits music but no baby sounds. None of the electronics required to emit the sounds are located in the doll, thereby allowing the doll to be created in a real and life-like manner.
Abstract: A restriction-free face support for health practitioner's tables designed for work on a prone person, comprising a plurality of optionally interconnected, adjustable support straps padded with memory foam designed to cradle the person's face over a headrest or cutout during a spa treatment, massage, chiropractic, or acupuncture sessions, or any other treatment involving a person lying face-down on a table. The face support allows for the person to rest and breathe comfortably and without the restrictive facial pulling/squeezing found in the prior art. The invention is simple, inexpensive, and can be built into massage tables or retrofitted onto existing tables, and the support straps are adjustable through use of buckles, hook-and-loop, or other means. Optionally, the support straps can have removable beads and other devices attached that allow for the device to put pressure on particular pressure points during the massage.
Abstract: A remote isolator interface uses a vehicle's OEM remote (or aftermarket remote door lock) entry signal to interface between the battery and aftermarket electrical equipment, electronically separating the OEM systems/battery from aftermarket systems such that a short or power spike in the aftermarket system does not damage the OEM system. The invention also shuts off power to the aftermarket systems when the vehicle doors are locked by OEM remote entry or electric door locks, and can be combined with a magnetic battery disconnect to allow electrical current to reach the aftermarket systems when the doors are unlocked. The invention can also be combined with a fused distribution panel to become a single source of power for any aftermarket equipment, thereby eliminating the need for an installer to cut into the OEM systems for a power source and thereby void the manufacturer's warranty.
Abstract: A golf exercise device is disclosed that can be used for stretching the shoulder and back muscles. The device expands to a length that allows the user to place the device behind the user's head and grasp each end with the user's hands. The device collapses to a size small enough to easily fit into a golf bag. The center portion of the device is padded for comfort while the user is stretching. Clips can also be included to secure the device to the external portion of the golf bag. The device can hold golf balls in one end, and a net for retrieving golf balls from water hazards in the other. Zippered pockets can be attached to the device to hold personal items such as mobile phones, PDA's, sunglasses, car keys, or the like. Net-type bags with drawstring closures can also be included with the device.
Abstract: A mirror device includes a base portion having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first end, and a second end, the first end having a raised edge perpendicular to the top surface, the second end having a raised edge perpendicular to the top surface and having a curved portion extending therefrom, the base portion having a plurality of grooves parallel with the first and second ends, a connector portion coupled to the base portion, the first end of the connector portion coupled to the curved portion such that the connector portion may rotate about the base portion, and a mirror coupled to the second end of the connector portion, the mirror having a connection means horizontally disposed along the back portion thereof, the second end of the connector portion coupled to the connection means such that the mirror may rotate about the second end of the connector portion.
Abstract: This invention is directed toward a splint, where there is a layer of material, such as fabric-laminated foam neoprene, that encompasses a part of the body intended to be immobilized, supported, or protected, and permanently secured to this layer of material is a low temperature thermoplastic. This thermoplastic is rigid when cool, and malleable when heated. The temperature at which the thermoplastic is malleable is low enough so that the splint can be molded directly on the body. The thermoplastic can be heated, molded, and cooled together with the layer of material. The combined elements of the low temperature thermoplastic with the layer of material create a removable remoldable splint that can be immersed in water without degrading the integrity of the splint.
