Abstract: An improved synchronous electric motor incorporating a stator and large current terminal unit made into a single unit with solidified molding resin thus a separate casing is unnecessary and thus the constitution is simplified. The large current terminal unit and a magnetic pole position detector are located on opposite sides of the stator, with the former mounted on one end of the shaft of a cooperating rotor and with the other on the other end of the rotor shaft, and they are fixed in solidified molding resin to form a single body.
Abstract: An improved crankcase ventilation system including an improved blow-by gas separator wherein it will be insured that oil cannot accumulate in the separator chamber under any running conditions so that the oil is totally precluded from being able to pass into the induction system.

Abstract: A very effective unit for adjusting the condition of a marine propulsion device that is constructed in such a way to protect the various components from wear caused by foreign particles that may be formed during its life by trapping the particles in a cavity formed in an upper surface of an actuating piston.
Abstract: Several embodiments of permanent magnet type three-phase AC rotary electric machines wherein the phase current flow is formed by parallel circuits formed by a plurality of serial circuits each comprising one or a plurality of stator coils so that electromagnetic voltage or counter electromagnetic voltage generated across opposite ends of the plural serial circuits may be always almost the same. Thus, a circulating current does not flow in the parallel circuits, whereby the efficiency of the rotary electric machine can be improved. Also, since the line current circuit of each of the phases is constituted of a parallel circuit, the current flowing in each of the stator coils is small so that the diameter of the stator coil wire can be small. Thus, the winding of the coils can be improved. Also, the processing of the coil terminals is facilitated and the processed portions of the terminals can be made small, resulting in a compact rotary electric machine.
Abstract: An improved high pressure intermeshing gear pump that achieves high efficiency and a low cost by forming the pumping cavity such that no fillets exist at the corners permitting closed fits without utilizing bearing end plates. In addition an improved coupling between the gears and their supporting shafts is disclosed as is a simplified machining method that eliminates burrs that may be formed during the drilling operations.

Abstract: An insulator for an armature wherein the insulator is formed with a slot at one end of the teeth on which the coils are wound to trap the end coil to prevent its axial slippage as the coil end is drawn out.
Abstract: An electrical armature having a wiring board embodying conductive plates with wire end receiving terminals to receive and hold the wire ends of the coils while they are fused to the terminals.
Abstract: An improved internal combustion engine lubricating system that includes an oil filter that is mounted on a mounting bracket that is fixed to a side face of an engine component that has direct communication with the oil pump and the engine main oil gallery to minimize the number of passages that must be sealed to prevent leakage and to make a more compact assembly.
Abstract: An improved an accessory mounting arrangement for an internal combustion engine that allows a low mounting position without overstressing the oil pan that provides a part of the support.
Abstract: A bar handle 5 is provided to extend from the rear parts of right and left side frames 3 and to form a gate shape in a double member structure made up of a fixed member 32 attached to the rear parts of the right and left side frames 3 and a movable member 33 disposed along at least upper side portion of the fixed member 33. A displacement detecting means 42 is interposed between the fixed member 32 and the movable member 33 to detect displacement of the movable member 33 relative to the fixed member 32. A control means is provided to control a driving motor so as to produce assisting power commensurate with the detected displacement.
Abstract: An internal combustion engine providing a strong mounting attachment for an engine accessory component on a light weight element of the engine body that is provided with a reinforcement for another primary purpose.

Abstract: A method and apparatus that permits engine system control such as exhaust valve timing without the use of separate load sensors from the output of a single engine timing sensor.
Abstract: A number of embodiments of improved engine system control method and apparatus based on operator demand and rate of change in demand that reduce not only the number of components but also decrease the complexity of the electronic system without requiring a throttle position sensor.
Abstract: An inspection process and method that is performed not by the operation of a PC but within the inspection device itself according to the inspection program stored in a memory circuit in the inspection device. Therefore, the inspection is performed without being affected by the performance of a PC with constant stability and reliability.
Abstract: Two embodiments of very simple by highly effective antitheft devices for use in small vehicles such as motor scooters, personal watercraft or other forms of watercraft. Each system employs a removable component which also functions as a display and which disables the operation of the prime mover of the vehicle. The removed component can be carried by the user and reinserted when he desires to again operate the vehicle.
Abstract: A drive unit (54) for an electric motor-operated vehicle is provided with a planetary gear mechanism (58) having; a sun gear (58a) rotating together with a motor output shaft (57a), a planetary gear (58b) meshing the sun gear (58a), and a ring gear (58c) meshing the planetary gear (58b); and constituted that an arm plate (58d) supporting the planetary gear (58b) is rotated with the rotation of the motor (57) at a specified speed reduction ratio. The ring gear (58c) is supported for rotation relative to a housing and a switching mechanism (65) is provided to hold or release the relative rotation of the ring gear (58c).
