  • Patent number: 7847642
Abstract: A frequency tuning circuit includes a connection for coupling to a signal tap of an element which has a resonant frequency. The tuning circuit contains a controllable-capacitance capacitance array for tuning of a signal frequency of the element. The capacitance array has a multiplicity of capacitances which can be connected to a control connection via a signal. In this case, the capacitance array is coupled to the connection. A control input is used to supply a digital control word. Furthermore, the tuning circuit contains a sigma-delta modulator whose input side is coupled to the control input and whose output side is coupled to the control connection of the capacitance array. This makes it possible to produce a tuning word by means of which the effective resolution of the capacitance array can be increased.

  • Patent number: 7839918
Abstract: In a method for estimating a frequency deviation between a received spread-spectrum code signal and a local frequency signal, the received spread-spectrum code signal is despread using a local spread-spectrum code. The despread signal is integrated over a particular integration period. From at least two successively obtained integration values, a phase change value characteristic of the phase change between the two integration values is calculated. From this, the frequency deviation is determined.

  • Patent number: 7840900
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that replace a separate reset pin in a bus with a reset command that guarantees a system recovery. The system comprises a host component circuitry residing on a first chip and a client component circuitry residing on a second, different chip. A bus connects the host component circuitry to the client component circuitry. The host component circuitry is configured to transfer an initial client value associated with a client component time period to the client component circuitry over the bus on a periodic time basis. The periodic time basis is dictated by a host component time period and the client component time period is greater than the host component time period. The client component circuitry is configured to initiate a reset procedure if the client component time period expires which indicates that the initial client value was not received at a next time on the periodic time basis dictated by the host component time period.

  • Patent number: 7830870
Abstract: The router of the invention comprises a routing table and an NAT table, which comprises an internet routing field for recording an address where a routing path to a WAN is stored, an intranet routing field for recording an address where a routing path to an LAN is stored, and a routing flag field for recording information indicating whether the NAT table stores an address where a routing path to a destination address is stored. When receiving a packet to a destination address, the router checks whether the NAT table records the address where a routing path to the destination address is stored. The router transmits the packet based on the routing information of the NAT table if the result is positive. If the result is negative, the router selects a routing path to the destination address from the routing table and transmits the packet base on the selected routing path.
