  • Patent number: 5314084
Abstract: A closure device for use with a container having an open neck finish, including an inner cap having a skirt terminating in an open end which engages the outside diameter of the finish. The inner cap is sized to initially engage the finish. The skirt has circumferentially spaced slits extending, which may function as lyophilization ports, which permit the inner cap to expand upon an axial closing force and engage the bottom of the finish. A liner is positioned in the inner cap proximate the closed end and is compressed against the finish when the cap is moved to alignment with the bottom of the finish. An outer cap is locked on to the inner cap in pre-assembly which then encloses the inner cap after complete assembly to seal and compress the liner between the finish and the inside face of the inner cap.

  • Patent number: 5307922
Abstract: A rubber tire individual separation transport apparatus including a rubber tire individual conveyor surface section and a rubber tire sliding surface section separately formed on a slat conveyor surface, with the conveyor having a horizontal charge zone, a sharply inclined individual transport zone, and a horizontal discharge zone. Also included is an upright plate erected for contact with the peripheral surface of a rubber tire at one end of each slat in the individual conveyor surface section. A support plate of such a size as to support only one rubber tire laid flat on said individual conveyor surface is mounted at a larger pitch in the direction of transport than the maximum diameter of the rubber tire being conveyed. A stationary side wall is erected along the side edge of the other end of the slat of the sliding surface section. Cooperative action between the selected tire and the side wall causes frictional force on unwanted tires to cause them to fall back to the supply of tires.

  • Patent number: 5287641
Abstract: A card device, comprising an elongated blank folded to form a front panel and a back panel and including a fastener means to form a card with one unsealed end. The front panel has a die cut opening of a predetermined size and shape with a clear window panel covering the opening and displaying a first image thereon. An image enhancing slidable insert sized to be inserted between the front and back panels through the unsealed end is provided and includes an outwardly facing surface contrasting with the first image to enhance the first image. A second image is placed on the inwardly facing surface of the back panel, including a visible image portion and a background portion which is aligned to substantial reduce the visibility of the first image. Accordingly, insertion of the slidable insert enhances the first image and removal of the slidable insert causes exposure of the second image to the substantial exclusion of the first image.
